Very reactive customer service, good communication

The furniture took longer in arriving than what i had been told in the website when i agreed.
When you buy a chair and a desk in a website with FEW items, SAME MATERIAL, SAME COLOUR AND FINISHING....and that items are "a desk and a chair" of course they will go together.
Well, matters that the chair and the desk can't combine. I can't put them one next to the other because it is NOT a match for the eye. LOOKS AWFUL when the wood has a different finish on the base colour to put both furniture together.... just different families although are same line and style.
IF YOU BUT ONLINE, you trust the pics are not retouched for the web site.
Anyway... both items are EXTREMELY nice, just don't go together. BE SUPER careful if you re buying goods from different familes.

Good product but arrived three months later than the original long delivery date (which I mostly understood due to Covid/Suez/Brexit) however the poor communication felt less acceptable - I was given a delivery date on more than one occasion which was then missed with no communication from Six until I contacted them...

After three and a half weeks of trying to find a time that was convenient for the “in-house” delivery team to deliver, I am now waiting for even a response on my request for a refund. The products are nice but logistically the company doesn’t compare with competitors. The assumption is you will be at home at all times to receive deliveries at their convenience. Would not recommend.

Beautiful chairs. Took ages to arrive, much longer than estimated. A couple of the stairs are a bit wonky/ aren't quite level, which is a shame given the price.

The dining chairs just arrived, really gorgeous, well packaged, and had no issues at all. Seat Pads are also lovely too. Delivery was only delayed an additional week but was given quite late notice. Generally, communication was very good, but we ordered through our trade business as it's for commercial use, and they were very attentive - I'd recommend.

Also just found out the gorgeous style of chairs they sell is an imitation of Modernist Swiss Architect, Pierre Jeanneret (Le Corbusier's cousin) if anyone is interested they go for a few thousand each, so this is a good replica.

A beautiful product, delivered well by a helpful driver.

Overall the service was good - the one negative comment I do have is that I received a faulty chair. Customer service were quick to respond and will take the faulty chair back and replace it with a new chair however I am a little disheartened that I have not received any other kind of compensation considering I have to wait for stock to come back to get the replacement and have to go through this process at no fault of my own. Would have been a nice gesture to at least get a £10-£20 voucher for the website.

Positives:

Negatives:

1. We ordered a sofa months in advance, way longer than the proposed 6 weeks lead time.
They told us it will be several weeks late only one day before our agreed on delivery date, after WE called them to check. We were in regular contact with them for months and yet, not once did they mention anything about an expected delay.

2. The lounge chair we bought had a big scratch. They sent us a replacement 2 weeks later. It also has a scratch, but smaller, so we decided to live with it and not deal with this company any longer. Also, the rattan of the chair starts sagging after you sit on it twice. We tried it on two chairs, mark my words.

3. We ordered a simple seat pad. Told us it didn't meet their standards so they would make a new one. Fair enough. However, they said it would take another 3 weeks... to make a seat pad...

Very disappointed buyer.

I recently acquired dining chairs from Six the Residence. They were advertised as, 'IN STOCK & READY TO SHIP'. This led to our decision to purchase as we had no dining chairs, however the bold sales technique is not accurate and the wait is extremely long.

To make things worse the Six The Residence live chat team and email team would not reply to direct questions. I asked numerous times on the order and every time a specific question was asked they would not respond. I asked for action, either an expedited delivery or compensation, they finally responded to say they would not fulfil either and stand by their advertising of IN STOCK & READY TO SHIP.

Awful experience, spent over £2k, no dining chairs for a month, no respect shown, treated terribly, I would never use again and advise you not to purchase their products.

Waited 9 weeks for the sofa to arrive, decided to cancel the order

Sadly I have had the unpleasant experience dealing with what seemed on social media a brilliant company with great products - We chose to order their Bouclé Curved Sofa in May 28th upon emailing if the lead time will be 6 weeks we were told on instagram this is the case and also followed with an email and got double confirmation from Charlie it will arrive with us in mid July, here we are and the delivery date passed we heard nothing back and contacted them to be told there are delays, upon pressing on the matter the reality was that we will be not receiving the sofa until 2nd week of August at the earliest.Making it a 12 week wait and not 6 weeks as advertised upon purchase.

Doubling your lead time and not contacting us with any updates but having to chase is just frustrating and disappointing.

We asked to have the order cancelled as we have a shoot next week and are left without a sofa and 3 months wasted.

It started off well, I placed the order with Six The Residence after finding them on Instagram and knew the dining chairs would be delivered at the end of June.

Fast forward to today. The chairs were delivered 3 weeks late and there were 3 occasions on which Charlie stated when delivery was due and each time they never showed up. I tried calling the courier company with no success - they just kept me on hold.

After the third ‘no show’ delivery on Monday past I requested a refund on delivery as I was peeved off. Especially as I had paid the normal delivery cost PLUS an additional £95.05 required to get them to Northern Ireland.

Charlie initially ignored the refund request via email and then after a 2nd prompt from me he said a refund would not be offered on this occasion and the delay was due to Brexit. Just a shoddy excuse as I’ve received pallet deliveries from Mandarin Stone in the UK and from my work suppliers in Holland and across Europe within a 1-3 day delivery window from date of shipment, not 3 weeks.

A lot of time was wasted on my part chasing this and that of my poor mum’s that had to wait around my home for just over 8 hours on one of the 3 ‘no show deliveries’.

It took the shine off getting the new chairs and a refund on delivery should of been offered as a goodwill gesture.

For a company that markets themselves as high end, they really fell short on service and delivery. Also the customer service number on their website seems to be permanently engaged. A phone number just for show. Really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.

Great contemporary furniture for discerning purists who love good design, beautiful craftsmanship and excellent customer service.... and for a price that is affordable. Am loving my dining chair and plan to order more !

Fantastic looking chair and very comfortable.

Charlie has been very helpful with keeping me up to date with what is going on with my order. Super helpful and the items are beautifully made! If you are thinking of getting something do it! You won’t regret the item at all.

The company were great at answering all my questions on Instagram and by email and kept me up to date when I asked about the delays to delivery. This was out of their control due to Covid etc but I once I got them they were just as the photos showed and quality is very good. I would purchase from them again.

We absolutely loved our new cane-teak dining chairs. Excellent quality. Perfect addition for mid-century modern style homes. Each chair arrived with individual well packed boxes and arrived right on time. Thank you so much.
