Known abuser/scammer trying to open service under yet another fake name/account. Order declined/refused for fraud. Has the audacity to make this claim. Ridiculous that TrustPilot even allows such reviews with zero actual data supplied

- Brand new VPS, never accessed !!!!!!
- All IPs clean on blacklists
- Account blocked same day
- No evidence provided

⚠️ PAY ATTENTION - BREAKDOWN OF THIS CLIENT'S FALSE CLAIMS:

We don't just suspend accounts/service for no reason. We have zero reason to do so, as we are in the recurring revenue service business.

If you were suspended for abuse, then we received numerous complaints, got our IPs blacklisted, and/or your account was correlated to a known prior abusive account. I suspect you are a known abuser if this was a new account/service, and we caught you trying to get new service under a different fake/fraud account/name. DON'T SPAM/ABUSE if you don't want services suspended.

UPDATE:
Located clients account, and as suspected...he is outright lying.
Abuse was recorded by a major external 3rd party blacklist 24 hours AFTER his service was activated. It was absolutely him causing the abuse, across multiple IPs. There is no disputing this, AbusIX recorded the exact times/dates of the occurrences. Client got our IPs blacklisted on a top 5 major blacklist, a violation of our TOS/AUP, and his service was suspended therefore. It was blatant and obvious, and occurred with 24 hours of service turnup, and obviously intentional. We will not tolerate abusive/illegal activity.

Scam company, they take you money and then close your account, no communication.

I created an account and ordered a VPS with them. They took my money and i've received no service, they didn't respond to any of my tickets and suddenly they closed my account without any kind of explanation. Be aware of this company, it seems like a scam to me.

Wrong.
Your order was never accepted, as it was found fraudulent. We never received any funds from you, as we ran authorization check/verifications only on the transactions. Once it was deemed fraudulent, the transaction did not proceed further to completion.
There is a difference between an authorization and a completed charge, which apparently you do not understand.
If money was removed from your credit card, than your bank is holding such, not us. We absolutely responded to your email/ticket regarding such, and you were informed of exactly this.
Based on your actions here, and false information posted, we were right on not accepting your orders!

Extremely Disappointed with SmartHost Service

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with SmartHost has been so frustrating that I feel the need to warn others. From the get-go, their customer service was unhelpful and slow. Every time I needed assistance with an issue, I was put on hold for ages or given generic responses that didn't address my problems.

I've encountered multiple downtimes, which is completely unacceptable for a hosting provider. My website has been offline several times without any explanation or compensation. Their so-called "24/7 support" is a joke, as it feels like they're never actually available when you need them most.

Additionally, the control panel is unintuitive and clunky, making even basic tasks like managing files or emails unnecessarily complicated. It's clear that the platform hasn't been updated in ages.

To top it off, I've noticed that billing is completely inconsistent. I was charged for services I didn't request, and when I tried to resolve it, I got the runaround for weeks before the issue was even acknowledged.

At this point, I wouldn't recommend SmartHost to anyone. There are far better hosting providers out there that actually value their customers. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

What a bunch of lies. I checked out this client's account. Not a single email/support ticket placed from them.

Darn right service went offline, it was suspended for abuse/spamming.

We use industry standard WHMCS billing system and SolusVM VPS control panel software.

Direct log entry from this client's service status:
"07/01/2025 02:15
Module Suspend Successful - Reason: Abuse/Spam"

This client is full of crap, lying thru his teeth, and is just another spammer angry he got his service suspended and trying to make us look bad.

Do YOURSELF a favor, don't abuse our services...and you won't get your service suspended.

Abuse, Account Closure without Evidence & Verbal Harassment – SmartHost

Hi
I am filing a formal complaint against **SmartHost LLC**, a hosting provider that has:
1. **Closed my VPS account** without providing any clear evidence of the alleged abuse/spam activity.
2. **Refused to refund my unused credit** of \$7.50 USD.
3. **Sent me an unprofessional and offensive message**, telling me to "take your spam sh\*t somewhere else," which I find deeply inappropriate and unacceptable.
I never used the VPS for any illegal or abusive activity, and my total spending was approximately **\$2.50**, meaning the rest of the balance remains untouched.
I kindly ask for:
* A **full refund** of my remaining balance
* A formal investigation into SmartHost's behavior and handling of customer complaints

MASS spamming from this user. We are talking hundreds of spamtraps being hit, as reported by major mail vendors (Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, etc..). Completely terminated and banned from our network, and no refund will be given. This scumbag knows exactly what he was doing.

Violent? Well...if we could reached thru the monitor and smack this client, it would be justified. This client was conducting heavy spamming from our IP space, hitting alot of spamtraps (..as we were notified by major mail carriers), getting IPs blacklisted, and violating our AUP/TOS. We called him out on it, suspended his service, plain and simple. Got the usual spammer copy/paste responses and threats after we refused to reactivate his service, and threatened him with entire account suspension if it continued. Our actions were justified. Client knew exactly what he was doing.

Update: Due to heavy spamming/abuse, we do not permit/block any orders from the country of Morocco. Guess where this client is from...Morocco. Client falsified information on the account and orders and obfuscated his location.

Sounds like someone got their service suspended/terminated for abuse.

Anonymous posting, sounds like a load of hogwash. We don't touch client data. You either got yourself suspended/terminated for abuse or non-payment. Backups are your own responsibility.

Update: You posted an anonymous review, so of course we cannot look up specific details of your account. Supply some identifying detail so we can look up your account, and we'll gladly respond back with the specifics.

Regardless, we are one of the oldest and most respected hosting providers in the industry (35+ years), probably doing this since before you were even born. We would not last in business that long if we played games with client data.
I stand by our previous statement: "We don't touch client data. You either got yourself suspended/terminated for abuse or non-payment. Backups are your own responsibility."

Fraudulent review. Individual was NEVER a client, and his attempts at ordering were denied. Completely fake information supplied with his order. This is a known fraudulent individual, amongst the industry providers. He is just angry that we would not provide service to him.
