I have had the worst experience from the SmileDirectClub team. Currently just spent 3 months wearing the aligners I was meant to be wearing the last pair of aligners but it didn’t fit..... I called smile direct and requested re-evaluation because the last one didn’t fit. They asked me to do rescan my teeth again in Auckland because the Wellington branch has been closed.
When I explained this was not possible because I live in Wellington which is 8 hours driving far from Auckland, they sent me an impression kit to do teeth print and send it back to them. After 15 days they come back to me and they asked me to do it again and pay another $50. Since I requested cancelation the account manager said I needed to send all unused aligners (whereas I have used all my aligners and I was just up to my last one but surprisingly, they didn't send me the whole pack of aligners, just half of them). Ridiculously they sent me aligners for 3 months and my treatment was supposed to last 6 months. My response to the MR account manager from the SMD team was: "how I send you something (the unused aligners) which I didn’t get in the first place?" Folks I don’t want anyone else losing time and money with this club. go to a local orthodontist it will be worth the money and better use of your time, never use this club!

Be mindfull of their offer of $299 deposit. Because once you are about to purchase it will come out as $430. They will juat tell you that they will refund the $130. That is really a good trick to customers.

I have had the worst customer service from the smile direct team. I have currently just spent the last 2 months wearing the same set of aligners the whole time because the one I was meant to move onto didnt fit.....after TWO months they have reevaluated my smile and are about to send out new aligners and the one I have worn for the last 2 nights has snapped, so therefore my new aligners will not fit as my teeth will have shifted back to how they were originally by the time the new aligners arrive. I also am apparently not entitled to a full refund EVEN THOUGH NONE OF THIS IS MY FAULT, and have to send the aligners which didnt fit back at my cost to australia. I'm $1000 down and have achieved nothing other than making my teeth wiggly and being an overall terrible experience. I would not recommend them.

Had the best experience thanks to the two amazing ladies at Smile Direct Club in Christchurch. My SmileGuide Avi was so lovely, she was professional and the process ran smoothly. Such a cool experience in regards to how advanced technology is these days! Overall, I enjoyed it! 😊

Initially, great. Thought everything was going to plan and my teeth were straightening.
When I’m for the consult in the Riccarton branch the woman took my email down wrong, I corrected it. However I didn’t receive any emails off them. After ringing I was told my email had never been changed. Minor detail, just asked them to change it over the phone. I was advised it was. About 5 aligners into the process my aligners stopped fitting. I contacted them about this, they didn’t have me on file as my email was still wrong. After 6 attempts of telling them this they finally changed it.
I received nothing other than a clearly automated email stating how to put my aligners in in relation to my complaint about wrong fitting aligners.
Next thing I start receiving emails calling me by a name which is not mine.
I corrected this AGAIN. They apologised and said they had temporarily used my email for someone else. Okay, thought this was sorted. Not even close.
I was emailed again to my correct email telling me my 90 day check up link would be emailed to me within 48 hours. Never got it, emailed them. Kept getting the same automated emails back about how to fit my aligners. Not what I asked. Now I’m getting emails calling me the wrong name again, telling me that I need new aligners as my plan hasn’t worked. Strange as they’ve never seen my teeth since I was in getting the consult. One woman told me they were sending now aligners free of charge to fix this. Told them again it wasn’t me and they had the wrong person. My names not Tatiana. Next thing I know I have one person emailing my apologising and another person telling me I owe $247 or $99 a month for these new aligners that aren’t mine. I’m begging them not to take Extra money from my account for new aligners as I AM NOT TATIANA! I haven’t even gotten my 90 day check up yet. Still clueless as to what’s going on and I just keep getting awful customer service with the same dreadful knowledge about anything.
Just please. Do not use this company. I don’t even know if they will stop taking the $99 a month out of my account. But hey, maybe someone else is happy I’m paying for their treatment on top of my own 🤷‍♀️

From the time I booked an appointment online to the time I left the building it was the most amazing experience. Very helpful instructions on where the office is, help with parking, met at the door the list goes on. Super easy assessment with everything explained clearly and simply. Everyone I met were super friendly and looked after me very well. Can’t wait to start the journey with smile direct!

Would have put zero or negative stars, but you don't have that option.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!
Top & bottom aligners do not fit & can not be worn.Have sent 8 emails & 6 phone calls. Get a different person every time "Reaching Out To Me" & every time it is as if they have not listened or read a word I say. I have asked for a return visit to store for another scan, but they never want to see you again once you have signed up. Credit Card has now been cancelled & they will not get another cent from me. Will see how getting my refund of $550 paid so far goes. Will update again.
SMILE DIRECT - PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A COMMENT "REACHING OUT TO ME" You have had multiple chances to put this right. Just refund my money.

Diane at the Auckland NZ smile shop was absolutely wonderful. She was very informative and really showed she cared. The 3D image process was hassle free and quick. Very excited to get started with the program!

Customer service via phone is as useless as tits on a bull.

I have my free appointment today in Christchurch and we only had to wait 3 days for it. My smile guide Avneet was lovely and made the process very easy. Lucky I got a free blue light led teeth whitening kit with a bonus whitening pen included. She also threw in a lip balm that is amazing. I definitely recommend smile direct club🤩🤩

I had my free consultation today in Wellington. Joyce was my consultant. She was an excellent communicator, and such a lovely person. The process was really interesting, and I was impressed by Joyce's care and customer-focus. I look forward to the rest of my journey with them.
