Ordered a sofa from this company it was delivered Saturday it’s the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever had there's no cushions it’s foam I couldn’t get over it they want to charge me £240 for them to collect the sofa communication is horrendous iv asked multiple times when will they be collecting and still no reply

Bought suite from them 8 weeks ago told them next day 3 seater broken sent somone out told eeds replacing waited again sent somone out told again needed replaced waited 7 weeks all in got replacement didn’t match 3 seater told it’s my responsibility to check won’t answer phone disgrace

Lack of communication

Let’s start with the positive. The lady I dealt with on their customer service line was polite, pleasant and refunded my money instantly. Within 2 minutes of requesting a refund, the money had been returned through PayPal.

Let’s go to the negative. I ordered a sofa bed, that was listed on the website as in stock for a specified delivery date, two weeks out. I chose this date as it was day one of being in a new property and so wanted the item to arrive same day as I picked up keys.

I received confirmation of the order and confirmation that I would receive my goods on the date selected, albeit at some point between 7am and 8pm.

I had no further communication from them until I phoned them up at 5.30pm on the day of delivery to enquire as to whether the order was intact out for delivery. The response I had was no. The order was not out for delivery and in fact there was no stock of this item with no due date to receive new stock.

The customer service agent was very polite and apologetic and said that I should have been automatically informed as soon as they were aware there was no stock. She explained that there probably had been stock available the day I ordered but as I had selected a date 2 weeks out, it wouldn’t have gone for picking until the day before dispatch and in that time they had run out. And I should have been informed at that point by phone or email.

I requested that they log an internal ticket to review their picking process. As soon as I ordered (and paid!) they should have reserved the item.

But what frustrates most is the lack of communication - I had no reason to expect non delivery.

My advice would be to avoid sofasworld unless you are happy to receive your items at some undetermined time in the future!

Another non delivery from sofasworld.

Ordered 2 recliners from sofasworld.
On day of delivery after waiting in all day I got a text at 5pm informing me that they couldn't deliver and blamed the reason on the company supplying the material for the recliners.
Be warned you use this company at your peril

Incredibly poor service

Incredibly poor service. I've never even reviewed a company on here before, but the service here was SO bad it has driven me to.

Firstly, I ordered a sofa and paid by Paypal which defaulted to my work address in error. I called immediately and was told they can't change an address I'd need to cancel and wait 3-5 days for a refund. Why they can't change an address on an order placed 30 seconds ago, before it even gets to a warehouse I have no idea. But the error was mine, so fair enough.

I cancelled and ordered again, they now have in excess of a grand of my money for two sofas, one of which is be delivered next day which I paid extra for.

The entirety of the next day I wait in, the sofa does not arrive. I call and am told there's been an error in ordering it, this needs to go to a resolving team and will take 3-5 days. So I tell her to do what I did and just cancel it and send me another one that will arrive next day. I'm informed this isn't possible and I need to wait. They also can't refund my delivery cost. Try sending them an email to chase progress, their SLA for ALL email contact is to 'try' to reply within 72 hours. 3 days, for a company who's USP is next day delivery. How does that even make sense?

As a final kick in the balls I get an email days later in response to my original contact, telling me there had been an error in cancelling my first order. It's been resolved now and I will get my money back in 3-5 working days.

I bought 2 sofas for next day delivery. I have been waiting now for over a week and own ZERO sofas.

Well I am actually shocked at all of…

Well I am actually shocked at all of these bad reviews. I ordered my sofa for my new flat, I was able to pick my own delivery date for the day I moved in. I was contacted the day before delivery and also the day of delivery with a slot time for the delivery of my sofa. Two very nice delivery guys not only carried my sofa up the stairs for me but they also unpacked it and put it Where I wanted it to go. I have Zero complaints about this company and I would absolutely order from sofas world again.

An absolute disgrace of a company.

An absolute disgrace of a company. They delivered a faulty sofa and after notifying them within half an hour of delivery of the sofa, they are making excuse after excuse for not collecting...two weeks later!
They are holding our money until the faulty sofa is collected and are telling story after story about why they aren't collecting (even after five separate collection dates have been scheduled). Every day the collection is scheduled, someone has to wait at home ALL DAY to have NO-ONE TURN UP! It is beyond a joke and I think they are complete frauds.

They advertised next day delivery or 5 day delivery. We choose 5 day, they took the money (nearly £600) then messaged 48 hours before it was due to be delivered advising no stock! It showed stock when we ordered?

I called explained it was for an elderly gentleman who had no sofa. I reordered another sofa £200 more expensive and was reassured this would not be a problem as this could be delivered Tuesday.

This evening again another message can’t deliver for another 12 days!!!

This is False advertising they now have nearly £1,400 of our money and will not refund anything for 5 working days or pay any interest or compensation.

Disgraceful!!! Do not use!!!

Recommend

Got my recliner sofas a couple of weeks ago and love them. I would definitely buy form Sofasworld again and recommend anyone that's looking for cheap sofas to buy from Sofasworld. My sofas arrived on time and had no hassle like anywhere else said they had. So ignore all the bad reviews as I had an enjoyable experience with the company.

Order never delivered but money was deducted

I made an order back in September and it is now pasted Christmas. We have yet to receive the tub chairs we ordered. We wrote to customer service and we had not heard from them. Money has been taken from my bank account and the service is disappointedly poor.

Shouldn't be trading!

Sofas World' part of Dunelm are disgusting and shouldn't be trading! They had £600 of my dads money for well over a month and kept fobbing us off about the sofa bed we ordered. Out of stock, it's in and we'll despatch it soon. We also got written confirmation on an email saying it'll be definitely delivered on the Wednesday, wasn't even on a despatch list! First they sent the wrong one, we arranged pick up and to deliver the correct one. They picked up but said the one for delivery is on another van! My sister and I rang them, they hung up on us more than once. We said we were contacting Trading Standards and our Solicitors. All the time this was happening our dad was in hospital having major surgery so he needed the sofa bed for when he got out of hospital. We are not happy about this and will never use Sofas World again, same goes for Dunelm. We had enough stress on without any of this. The money finally got refunded back into the account, but that only happened as we threatened them with action. The staff are terrible and how they got employed in the first place is beyond me. Really angry about this.
