I know these guys are new and wanted to post a positive review to shed some legitimacy on what they are doing. We found them on a Google add and debated for a while whether or not to “risk it” - but after it all worked out we figured we could save others some anxiety and mention a few things about our experience.
1.) if you call their phone number during reasonable business hours, a human answers that can speak English, if you call after hours you get an AI that directs you to a human right away.
2.) Shipping was fast and the carrier was good communicating delivery windows.
3.) The panels are monsters. We ordered three pallets of the MT5-Pro’s. You can tell they are built well, we popped a multimeter on a few of them and they all generate more than expected amperage.
4.) Spoke to Seaton a couple times and he’s super knowledgeable and was able to get us what we needed.
The only complaint is the fact they only have one product on their page. But when it was explained to us the reasoning, it made sense. He also Pointed out this is a new endeavor for them and they plan to add more items over time as it is accumulated or requested by clients/customers.

Overall I highly recommend OWA and the MT5-Pro PV module. You can buy it direct from mate, but won’t get a better price unless you buy an entire shipping container and wait two months for it to arrive. By going this route we got a great price and a company here in the states to handle support or any potential product replacements.

I do not usually write reviews on Trustpilot but told Steve and Seaton I felt compelled to leave a positive review, and they asked me to use this platform.. To shed some color on my experience: We recently started to replace several clusters of panels on our campus. We are located in an area that has very harsh weather conditions and were searching for panels with certain technical attributes. My assistant found solarsurplususa.com on Instagram. We did a little due diligence and found the company is actually called "Other World Asset Company LLC" and have a dba "OWA Energy".. Since none of us had ever heard of OWA Energy prior to my engagement here, we approached with a great deal of scrutiny as their pricing is very enticing and seemed a little "too good to be true.." . After a lot of browsing on Alibaba, the mate-solar.com website, and multiple phone calls with Seaton, we decided to go ahead and order a pallet of their MT5-Pros. The panels arrived in five days, we were a little surprised how much are larger they are than the ones we are replacing, but Seaton referred us to another representative within the OWA team, Steve, who was able to find us an easy and inexpensive, USA-made mounting solution. The group here is knowledgeable in many aspects of energy infrastructure and microgrid technology as I spent some time "nerding out" with Seaton on MMR technology and AI Data center projects they are involved with - which was a very informative and interesting conversation. I respect the time and effort they put in to earning my business and wanted to give them a shout out. Hope it helps, and we will continue to work with OWA whenever possible. Highly recommended.
