Top Marks! I have only praise for the service given by SLHF staff. It is quick and efficient and, I need hardly say, totally professional. Most recently my drawdown request was handled by Sam Carroll. He was not only reassuringly efficient in expediting the drawdown but did so with exceptional courtesy and tact.

Standard Life and their so called solicitors. The comically named “Enact” are so catastrophically inept and disorganised it’s impossible to put into words.

Whatever anyone does. Avoid avoid avoid. You do NOT want these people in your life. The cost financially and to your mental health and well being is not worth it. Eight months and I’m still stuck in horrible rented accommodation. Still waiting.
Their utter incompetence meant having to take an extra term out on the rental. One year minimum. £40,000 down the drain. All I get is. “ sorry “.

I’ve lost count how many times it’s been “ escalated “. “ looked into “. “ acted upon “. Nothing they say can be trusted.
I’ve Started a complaints procedure and was written to by someone who told me what my complaint was. Someone who I’ve never spoken to. Complaints that totally mis represent the situation.

I’ve Tried contacting the so called complaints dept. . Been Ignored by phone. Answerphone message and E mail. A sick sick comedy.

We applied for a further Equity Release drawdown and the staff were very efficient and the money reached our bank in record time...well done!
