We booked with Staycation around a year prior to actually leaving. This was for a surprise 30th. I attended first to see the camper vans and was given a thorough walk through of the van as well as everything they had to offer. With how helpful and lovely they were I knew I wouldn’t be looking elsewhere.

Getting the Campervan was super easy, there was not a mound of paperwork to complete, everything was straight forward. The staff at Staycation were super helpful with any queries we had on the lead up and always replied very quickly.

We had our van for a full week, we had no problems and completed over 1000 miles. We had the best time! The van came with more than everything needed. At no point did we think “oh, the van is missing this” because it already had it.

The smeg kettle and air fryer were also a major bonus especially for making meals more fun whilst on the road.

We slept on the fold out bed as we had a dog with us and honestly there was so much room and it was so comfortable. We had the pop roof open every night giving us the space to stand and move around for extra room.

One noticeable surprise, the fuel economy of the van was phenomenal. We spent less than £200 on fuel for the week. This was a major shock to us, we planned for a lot more.

We are already planning our next trip with staycation.

We had the most amazing week with our van Lyla, the vans are well stocked and carefully thought out to maximise space and still have all you need for your trip and more.
It was comfortable, warm (even though our trip was mid winter) and an all around fantastic experience. The pick up and drop off was incredibly easy and all staff were friendly and super helpful.
We have recommended Staycation Scotland to many family and friends already.

The team were brilliant from start to finish. Easy to communicate with and very helpful and friendly. It was our first time in a campervan and they took the time explain everything well when we collected Lulu and before have really great demo video on the website.

The van was amazing, had everything you needed, was easy to drive and we loved the off grid aspect which gave us flexibility to go with the flow. We did hook up one night on Skye and again was very easy.

The set up in the van was great with seats being able to turn to make more room in the evenings, wifi was great and the tv with Netflix for an evening movie and glass of wine when it got dark.

We travelled the west coast for 4 nights and saw and did so much. It was the perfect time of year for us being off season and quiet with some roads and camping areas all to ourselves. A lot of tourist activities were closed but we were away for walks and hiking so didn’t matter to us.

A rough itinerary; first night drove up to Fort William and further on to Arisaig where we found the most beautiful white sand clear water beach and camped for the night. Next day we drove to Isle of Skye and en route Glenfinnan. Stayed on Skye Saturday night in Dunvegan,enjoyed restaurant the loch bay. 3 chimneys not far either . Sunday we explored Skye , great coffee, toasties and pastries at the tiny coffee shop Lean in I think it was called on the road. Then up to Sheildaig for a tremendous hike and secluded beach with seals . Sunday night we headed back inland to Loch Ness and camped further down the road. Monday we went to Aberfoyle and then onto Aberfeldy and did a beautiful autumn walk Birks of Aberfeldy. Only about an hour and you climb up to the waterfalls. Then we came back down to loch Lomond and spent the night before returning the next morning.

It was just what we needed and we can’t wait to book our next trip!

I had great experience from communication, booking online, checking status of things online, and then in-person exchanges for pickup and return. The van was clean and in great working condition. Olivia and I traveled around for 13 days and got to see so much. She was about the max size 'camper' I would want on the roads in Scotland. You can end up on single track roads before you know it and they just aren't big enough for RVs. The only thing I wish she had was a gray water tank so I could more easily dispose gray water in proper locations. They did provide a collapsible container that I could use inside in the sink or outside under the drain to catch the water and then transport to disposal. I would definitely recommend this company for campervan rentals. Their online portal is great on laptops and desktops and hear they are working on better mobile usability. Friendly and flexible, support this family run business.

It was a seamless experience from selecting and paying for the van to picking it up and returning it later. The staff we dealt with were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The whole process was very efficient and we couldn't fault it.

The communication was excellent and staff were really friendly and helpful. The van was so well equipped there was nothing we needed and didn't have. It was spotless and in great condition. I think it made up our minds to get one for ourselves. Many thanks 😊

Just a great experience! We booked a campervan online, but we had a few questions. They reached back and solved all our doubts. The campervan was brand new, beautiful and very well equipped and organised. We had no problem driving on wee roads and doing wild camping. 100% recommendable.

This experience couldn’t have been any better from start to finish! The team were so helpful and friendly, the van was exceptional, we had the best time and will definitely be using Staycation Scotland again. We were particularly impressed with the customer service when out on the road. We needed a reminder of how to do something in the van and they replied on WhatsApp immediately with a video to help us. We felt very well looked after.

We completed the NC500 and Isle of Skye as a mini moon after our wedding. We loved our trip and staying in Lyla was absolutely perfect! The van was so easy and comfortable to drive making the road trip very enjoyable. The interior was amazing and we felt at home in our campervan, we didn’t want to drop it off! We also used Staycation Scotland website and Instagram to plan out our trip as well as recommendations they sent through to us which was really helpful. Jules responded to our messages quickly and helped with any questions we had putting us at ease. The team was fabulous and we would recommend their campervans to everyone! We’ll definitely be back again!

Excellent customer service and were extremely welcoming on arrival. A range of camper vans to choose from that are all relatively new, well maintained and fitted to a high standard so we had nothing to worry about when campervanning as first timers. We were able to fulfil our dream of doing a road trip through Scotland. Checking the vehicle back in at the end of the trip was seamless and it is obvious that the company care about improving their customer's experiences.

First class service from Jules and her team! Offered great advice on the best places to camp, Piper was a luxury van compact but equipped with everything you need. We loved every part of the experience and the weather was in our favour 😎 Morar Sands was a big highlight the beaches are stunning and we will definitely be doing more Staycations next year x highly recommend and have done so already x

We had a great time exploring Skye, Harris and Lewis in one of the VW transporter vans. The vans are a nice compact size, great for driving and easy parking. The van makes the most of the space it has inside with more storage than you would think, good idea to use packing cubes for clothes. Found the lower bed more comfy and cosy than up top but good to have the option. You have everything you need in terms of utensils, pots, pans etc. Had a great holiday and would book again.

Staycation campers are fantastic lots of utensils, cookware, and extras that means you don’t need to buy a lot of stuff before your trip. Campers have a really nice finish.
We have now tried 2 types, the Volkswagen with the pop top roof, it is great for fitting into smaller spaces a lot more compact, not a huge amount of storage space. Then tried the Mercedes sprinter it was a lot bigger had some trouble getting into car parks because of the size but had tuns of storage, also didn’t need to sort bed and roof every night as it was already set up.
Both were great vans and would definitely hire again.

Just completed my first campervan trip in Lexi. We were travelling as a family group in a convoy of 3 campervans. It was a different kind of holiday from what we have ever had. It was great and the kids loved it. We went to the west coast of Scotland taking time to stop and enjoy the sights. It’s a great way to travel and see the countryside. The campervans were spotless and had everything we needed. The staff at Staycation were very helpful and friendly. I hope to do it again soon. I would definitely recommend anyone wishing to go on a campervan holiday to go with Staycation.

Great holiday that was really easy to arrange. Very friendly staff keen to accommodate requests. Very informative briefing prior to trip with lots of hints and tips. Pick up and return process was simple. Van had everything we needed as a beginner trip. Numerous confirmation emails before and after, this could possibly be combined into fewer pdfs. Not sure necessary as emails could just be contained in booking dashboard as required. Didn’t detract from overall experience. We had a great time and will certainly highly recommend and be back again possibly to buy next time 😁

Loved every minute of renting out the camper van. Everything was explained well before taking it out. We had a few questions about the vehicle size and height when on our trip and were replied to very fast. Very accommodating when asking for an early start.
