Very fast speeds

I purchased an eSIM from Stellar Security VPN for a trip to Japan on July 17, 2026.
I paid €3.55 for 10 GB.
It worked from the very first day I arrived in Japan, but I couldn't use the hotspot feature; I should mention that I used it on an iPhone 16.
I tried contacting someone via email for help with this issue, but I never received a reply.
A week later, on July 24, 2026, I was charged another €1.49 without any explanation.
I sent another email to their support service, but once again, I received no response.
Ultimately, I don't think I'll use their eSIM service again, as their technical support is abysmal and their pricing isn't fair.

Used the esim, very good and easy to use. they provide a VPN with it. Recommended

I had a good experience with stellar esim. It was super cheap and easy and worked well. I travel a lot and often buy esim, and this one was working very well. No complains at all!!!

We have bought 4 eSIMs with 10 GB of data within 30 days from StellarSecurity for our vacation in Canada. Unfortunately we are having all kinds of problems with these 4 eSIMs of Stellar:

1. One eSIM never properly worked with only 2G speed at best. We have sent email to Stellar and never got any reaction. We solved the problem with buying a eSIM from a different company and that eSIM has functioned flawlessly.

2. The other 3 eSIMs have often connection problems. Then one or two eSIMs have no connection at all, while the other has normal connection with good signal. So the problem cannot be caused by being at a location with no signal. This makes the use of eSIMs from Stellar very problematic.

So Stellar is delivering eSIMs with many problems and sending email to Stellar about problems is useless, because we didn't received any reply. With this experience I will not advise to use Stellar eSIMs.

Sehr unkomplizierte eSIM, habe das Paket für die Türkei gebucht, war zum einen mega günstig, zum anderen hat alles problemlos geklappt und ich hatte 50GB im Urlaub, ohne mich um lokale Anbieter kümmern zu müssen. Wichtig war nur, schon vor dem Flug alles einzurichten, nur einschalten muss man noch nichts, das kann man dann im Reiseland machen. Bin komplett überzeugt und werde ab jetzt jedes Jahr zu Stellar greifen!

Wir haben uns eine Stellar eSim für die Türkei gekauft. Die Installation haben wir noch in Deutschland durchgeführt, was problemlos verlief. In Antalya angekommen gab es zunächst keine Verbindung zu einem Netz. Durch die manuelle Einstellung der APN konnte dann aber eine Verbindung hergestellt werden. Die Karte läuft wie beschrieben und wir werden beim nächsten Urlaub gern wieder darauf zurück greifen.

I bought an eSIM and first everything went fine.

However, after ~2 weeks they suddenly charged my Credit card again with 1,49€. I contacted the customer support and they answered within 1 min (seems enough people complain about this scam to have a bot answer them) that I bought a "Stellar Travel Protection". As far as I can see this is a completely useless product, looks like the only use is to scam people. Customer support is ignoring all further requests after their initial reply.

There is no order confirmation, no reference, nothing pinpointing I might have intentionally ordered this.

Very sneaky to charge few weeks after initial and actual purchase so people may not notice. Save you some headache and stay away, see the other reviews that this is common practice at stellarsecurity.com.

Their eSIM was trash. I bought it for UK but after landing it couldn’t connect to the network. Eventually it kinda worked but only in some parts of London. There were areas where I only had E (2G) when my friend who had another company’s eSIM had 4G all the time without any problems. If I couldn’t rely on my friend’s internet I would need to buy another eSIM.

EDIT (RESPONSE): This is incorrect.

I did not have the option to configure the APN settings manually on my iPhone. There was no “Mobile Data Network” / APN menu available for your eSIM, so it was impossible to enter the APN settings from the activation email.

I informed you about this by email on 24 July, but I did not receive any response addressing this issue.

After several days without a solution, I purchased an eSIM from another provider. It worked immediately on the same iPhone and, unlike your eSIM, it provided access to the APN settings when required.

This clearly demonstrates that the problem was not my device or its configuration, but your eSIM provisioning or carrier profile.

Therefore, I do not accept the claim that the issue was caused by incorrect APN configuration on my side, as I was never given the ability to configure the APN in the first place.

I created a ticket 22/7, now it is 28/7 no answer yet.

Really a bad first impression, can't really say anything about the product, since it seems to be impossible to installe the antivirus

The speed of this local Japanese eSIM is abysmal.

I purchased a 50GB, 30-day local Japanese eSIM plan. (Product name: Japan 50GB 30Days (IIJ) + Free Stellar VPN)

Although the provider is listed as IIJ and the IP address is local to Japan, both download and upload speeds are capped at 5~15 Mbps. I tested the speed using Fast.com while outdoors near Namba Station in Osaka.

At this speed, it would be a struggle to even use up the full 50GB within the 30-day period. Selling an eSIM of this quality as a "local eSIM plan" borders on a scam. The seller really needs to re-evaluate the quality of the eSIMs provided by their supplier.

Furthermore, the website does not clearly specify whether the service is LTE-only or 5G-enabled; while the product page guidelines claim it supports 5G, in reality, only LTE is available. They should remove the mention of 5G support from the guidelines to avoid confusing customers.

- Edit: All settings are set correctly. It is not a case of poor 5G coverage in my area; the eSIM itself is restricted to connecting only to LTE base stations. This specific eSIM does not support connections to 5G base stations at all. At the same time, I also tried using the another Japanese ESIM that you sell via the HK "Three(3)" carrier, and confirmed that it connected normally to the 5G base station when manually configured and connected to the same IIJ carrier base station as the ESIM in question. This confirms that the issue is not due to the surrounding environment, but rather that the your Japan local ESIM provider does not offer 5G service.

Very cheap and very easy to set up. Will definitely use again when going abroad

My wife and I bought 2 eSIMs. Our internet dropped for up to 20 minutes at a time in the Netherlands for a few times. My wife and I both faced this issue repeatedly, but it worked fine in Belgium.

They also charged us €1.49 each, which I initially thought was unauthorized. After I posted on Trustpilot, it turned out I had fallen into their hidden subscription trap, but they immediately refunded and cancelled it, so I raised my review to 2 stars for their resolution.

Overall, it was an awful experience to use Stellar eSIM for our vacation when we only consider about eSIM. However their support team was really kind and positive!

Used Stellar Security twice now, once in France and once in the Netherlands. Really cheap compared to other eSIMs I've looked at and the internet speed was fast both times. VPN is included which is a nice bonus, though I haven't actually used it yet. Also handy that you can check your remaining data on their website, only thing is it feels like there's a 3-4 hour delay before usage updates. Overall pleasantly surprised and I'll be using it again soon for my Japan trip.

E-sim easy to set up. Works well.

Connects to 3 and EE in the UK. I wish it included O2 too.
