I am now debt free thanks to the Iva in place and staff at step change were wonderful. Please find out all the charges before you commit to it. It’s just one payment a month and no more nasty letters in the post or phone calls.

Contacted Step change after finding myself in a worse and worse position financially every year getting to a point I had nowhere else to turn , everyone I have spoken to has been , polite , kind and generally careing , The VA team has been great and today my IVA was approved , I am now looking forward to a better year instead of waking up every day wondering how I am going to manage to pay this and pay that , thank you stepchange

StepChange have been fantastic in helping me get in to an VA. The customer service is out of the park! Top notch! They are so helpful and guide you all the way through the process & are on hand to help anytime, whatever the question. Easy to work with and set up, good communication - Good company to use

I get this place tries to help people but in my case they made my life and credit history worst off in the long run when I first contacted them 4 years ago they put me on a DMP but my debts were so high I would of been on that plan for 13 years then I had another incident in life which ended my DMP with them they then advised to put me on another DMP and again it failed I then reached out to the National debt line who were amazing who put me in touch with the CAB who set up a debt relief order and it all was sorted in a month now I’m just waiting for it to be accepted and rebuild my life I get I’m the one who ended up in debt but the advice and solution I was given from step change would have kept me in debt until I died

Great experience helped me on the road to being debt free it seemed daunting at first but can’t believe how quick it went until my dmp was up and creditors were paid off

I gave 5 star's because stepchange helped me to get debt free, and they was always there for me, if you are in debt I would recommend giving stepchange a call they are brilliant they will help you with all your debts.

The IVA was so easy to set up and once the process and budget was explained to me I knew that I could relax at last.
Although at times it has been a bit of a struggle I have always had in the back of my mind that
your help was only a phone call
away. The support I received when I had questions was excellent. My extreme thanks go to the 2 people who dealt with my case.

Honestly can’t fault step change one bit I was so anxious to get help but they made everything so much easier. I went through Iva and if it’s something you’re thinking about then I would recommend step change all the way! Thank you very much

I contacted stepchange after i was struggling with my debts & i reached the stage i cannot carry on just paying minimum .Afrer watching Money Saving Expert ( Martin Lewis).
I decided to get in touch with stepchange & i have to say i was very pleased the way they dealt with my case.Anytime i phone Glasgow office the staff very helpfull &Kind.I would like to take this opportunity to thank Celeine for her kindness and her hard work .I don't think i will came that far with out her Help.I will recommend stepchange to any one struggling with debt.Thank you so much for all stepchange staff who dealt with my case & now My DPP has been set up.

I really upsetting experience from the moment I contact step change. I have never experienced such a poor service. It's had a negative impact on my mental health. I really worry about the impact on the most vulnerable, if my experience is common.

I've now been sent a WhatsApp message (from step change)asking for bank details- should someone respond to this review and recommend I get in touch with a company to stop this happen- please don't. I have really had enough of your service passing the buck and putting everything back onto the client.

Also, when I look at the poor reviews, on multiple occasions step change respond with 'We’re concerned that you may be dealing with a company posing as us'. I find this really odd, and something I haven't heard of from any other charity- I mean, when have you heard of a food bank, or another regulated charity designed to help those in need, use this as a common response? There's something that makes me very uncomfortable about this charity- I don't think it will be long until a regulator uncovers unacceptable working practices here.

Step change was so easy to set up, they take care of your lenders for you so you don’t have to pay the interest anymore, it’s totally stress free! They help you make a manageable plan depending on your income and make sure you won’t be spending more than you can afford. Checking your progress was easy on their web site and doing a new budget was great as you could change your payment to step change if your finances changed. It has been such a relief and I wish id of done it sooner. Oh and yes it does effect your credit score which is what put me off at first but my credit score was bad anyway so thought just do it, and now my credit score is better than when I started!

Step change are cancelling breathing space without consulting me. They claim I have already been on it but haven’t and they have not given any proof. I will now lose everything including my job. I have a mental health condition and step change know this but they seem to not care about it and have pushed me to the edge. They never reply to emails or calls. No one in the phone knows what they are doing and they kept looking stuff up on the internet when I was talking to them on the phone. They have no clue what is what. They just repeat themselves and get you to repeat every too. It is hell dealing with them. Please do not trust them, it will cost you dearly and more than you know and they will not care one bit. They will just move on to ruin the life of someone else.
