Excellent service
Michael the Sales Manager is our go to, we really trust him as he is so knowledgeable and he is super helpful when it comes to making the right decisions, your never rushed or pushed towards a particular brand he also has a very welcoming and friendly approach. There’s nowhere else that offers the same level of customer service, although personally I prefer the old layout in the stores, please don’t make my more ‘big’ changes in-store as it’s already lost some of its signature & much loved ‘Sterling’ look.

Carpet fitting rescheduled- not met
Called 4 hours later onthe day of fitting only to be offered sincere apologies etc
Then told of factory issues/delivery/hiccups in the warehouse etc. Please, I’m not too angry about the fitting times as I was working from home but could see it be an issue for some. but just ke me in the loop.
And don’t tell stories to cover up the truth- just tell the truth, no excuses required!

Forced hidden fee
After choosing a bed and bedroom furniture to match at your uddingston branch, we were brought to the desk to pay for the goods, the woman we dealt with explained that the delivery guys will come into our home and not to worry they will build our bed and and bring in the rest of the furniture and praised it as a great service, what she forgot to mention that I was charged a extra £119 for this service, at no point was this extra fee mentioned which is shocking.
Even during the conversation my husband said he would just build it and she said, no the guys will build it and put it where you want.
This is shocking that this fee is not disclosed to customers

Pleased with my carpet and the ftting
Pleased with my carpet and the ftting. Staff were very helpful when ordering. My only complaint was that I had to ring, more than once, to get a copy of the sales form which I had not received. Also, conformation of my payments made.

Sterling Home Experience
Our experience with Sterling was very informative, especially from David on our purchase of a leather suite, and then he passed us onto Sharon whom he informed us was great at her job. After choosing the carpet she sat us down and quoted us a price on both. Went away to think about it and few days later came back down to seal the deal, unfortunately David was off so Deane stepped in. Sharon once again followed the whole sale thru, what a great team of salespeople you have in your Birkenshaw branch, it was a pleasure dealing with them. Looking forward to receiving them late August .

Terrible service from day 1 over 3…
Terrible service from day 1 over 3 years ago with sterling.first sofa we received was faulty & had to be replaced within 1 year after much complaining to company.
2cd suite when it finally arrived had leather peeling from chair within 3 months of receipt.
Again after much complaining and company passing the buck to supplier they deemed to not replace the chair as you would expect but only the leather on arm of chair.
This leather took approximately 16 weeks to arrive.
The technician arrived to fit the leather but again the company had forgot to send it to my home address.
Yet another date & time had to be arranged.
New leather now on chair & we ll see how long it lasts though not hopefully.
I would not advise anyone to purchase anything from Sterling's unless they are willing to put up with possibly the worst service I have ever received in my life.

We were welcomed and looked after by Shaun.
So glad he came over to assist us - he was extremely well informed on all the suites on show and helped us select 4 suites. Had it not been for Shaun we may have missed some unique selling points on a couple of suites.

Good value, good choice, good quality
The care and attention we received from the salesperson,Sean, was wonderful. He explained the structure of the suite and chair we were buying, listened when we told him our best time for delivery as we were going on holiday and acted accordingly ensuring it could be after our return. He informed us when the discount being offered was coming to an end and was really easy to engage with. The shop was warm and welcoming and the choice of suites was great and good value. Overall it was a pleasure to shop there.

We found the in store experience fine but watch out for the ‘add ons’
We found the in store experience a pleasant experience. We are pleased with our new chairs.
As we are both retired we accepted and paid extra for assembly and removal of packing. It was expensive adding to the overall spend.
The delivery was later than expected, and the chairs were brought in ready assembled and apart from some polythene wrapping, no extra work seemed to justify the cost .
We questioned the deliver driver about the chairs not requiring assembly, and he said they are built at the warehouse. There was no way we could have confirmed that.
