I bought a suite from Sterling and have…
I bought a suite from Sterling and have had problems with it from day 1. Initially, it was replaced because of a problem with the cushion (it would not hold its shape).
After the replacement, the leather started peeling on the single seater chair- we contacted the insurance company (recommended to us by the Sterling salesman when we purchased the suite), but they told us that the suite had not been cared for properly. Explained that we could not clean the suite as it would aggravate the problem and peel more of the leather off, but they blamed it on us.
We have put a complaint in on Resolver, but as of yet, have been ignored. Don’t know what else to do.

You have told us that you contacted the insurance company to report peeling leather and that they did not uphold your complaint.
May we ask you to contact customerservices@sterlingfurniture.co.uk so they can explain how your policy works. They will also ask you questions about your complaint and arrange an inspection if you feel this is due to a fault and not wear and tear.

Best quality and service
Best quality and service. David is Not a pushy salesman and so knowledgeable. We've visited on two occasions to search for the right sofa. Black Friday deals offered huge discounts. Every option available to us in terms of finance. We were advised for the best comfort and durability for our leather sofa. Family always buy from sterling due to the quality and styles available. We can't wait until March.

Spent a lot of money to replace and…
Spent a lot of money to replace and upgrade my hall and lounge carpet. Poor communication on day of fitting from fitters resulting in me having to contact store to find out when / if coming. Arrived late and in a rush. Didn’t have correct tool to create seam in carpet so shoddy job done. Initial complaint to store dealt with but second attempt at resolving the poor seem - same fitters were assigned to this. This felt awkward . This time they arrived to fix the fault but had brought wrong door bar. Spoke to installation team on phone and was advised that I should have liaised with them directly rather than floor sales team.
Sterling should consider lines of communication between sales, installation and fitting teams to ensure smooth customer service.
3 weeks since original fitting date and job still not completed.
Won’t use Sterling again , sorry.

If you’re thinking of buying a sofa from Sterling Homes, go elsewhere!
We ordered a sofa and chair in June, and they were finally delivered in mid-August — but the wrong sofa had been ordered, despite us spending time clearly explaining the correct details to the salesperson.
A replacement (197x197x96) was then ordered, and it was delivered today, but again the measurements are completely wrong. It was supposed to be a small corner sofa, and it isn’t.
The entire process has been a nightmare — poor communication, no transparency, and constant broken promises. The manager at the Tannochside store deserves credit only for his consistency in offering false assurances and never calling back as promised.
Overall, a deeply disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for furniture and customer service that actually values your time and money.

Amazing Service at Uddingston
Just a huge shout-out to Lauren in flooring. Lauren took the time to go over different options with attention to detail, nothing was too much trouble. Such a friendly service and no pressure given. Can't wait for our new carpet and will highly recommend.

Just been to this store in Birkenhead, Uddingston. I was served by Sean and Lauren. I don’t normally leave reviews because service delivery should be a given not the exception but both of these individuals are a credit to their organisation. Unbiased advice without the hard sell. It almost felt as if a friend was advising you. I will now buy 4 sofas and 2 rugs. Great shop, their merchandise is quality and most of all the staff are great. Good coffee shop as well
