The shopping experience is not personal

It is clear that right now Stitchfix is sending whatever they have remaining in stock. Any requests or notes to the "personal shopper" are fruitless.
I requested items that I could wear on my next holiday, a hot country that culturally preferred full coverage. I asked for full length loose fitting items.
My first review consisted of mini skirts, mini dress, and jumpers. I rejected all but one item and my actual delivery consisted of a duplicate item in two colours, several jumpers, and a blouse that was in a pattern I had specified I did not wish to receive in my style profile.
I contacted customer services as I was very disappointed and I was told that due to the ongoing sale they could not accommodate my requests, and said that the fee I paid was non-refundable.
The latter would be easier to accept if it wasn't for the blatant disregard for any of my notes.
I am sure this review is too late to save anyone else from what genuinely now feels like a scam.
Stitchfix was worth a try before their sale. Now it's the equivalent of getting what's left on the rack but at full price.

A scam now

Ordered a fix for an update for a work trip. All preview items were stitchfix's own brand or £100s above the budget I specified. Most miserable thing was that preview included 3 of the same jumpsuit in different patterns... still awaiting receiving my rather overdue fix.

I hate to be harsh but...

I hate to be harsh but honestly it's no wonder UK ops are closing. The 'stylist' just does whatever it wants and doesnt listen to a thing. No matter how many times I've ticked 'wouldnt wear this' on items guess what, my latest box is full of stuff I would not wear, despite all the upticks on things I would. Utterly pointless.

Sad to see Stitch Fix go

Sad to see Stitch Fix go.

Haven't had the opportunity to use them as much as I'd have liked due to work travel, but have been very pleased with the 2 orders I've had so far & had actually decided to sign up to biweekly orders when the news came out.

Don't know who my "stylist" was, but they were fantastic.

Really hope to see Stitch Fix back in the UK again

Disappointing

Thought I’d give them another go since they have a sale on. It seemed like they paid no attention to what I asked for, on the expected delivery date it hadn’t even shipped. I received 5 awful frumpy items that were either own brand and terrible quality or pieces that were on sale and massively reduced elsewhere. Such a waste of my time and money instead of something that should save time.

Clearly given up in the UK

I've had some good things and wanted to try again for some updated workwear. On the scheduled delivery date it hasn't even shipped. My preview included two pvc miniskirts so very far off brief. When I contacted customer services about the delivery date I got a non apology that they were too busy with orders because of the sale. As the sale is for the company to shift stock ahead of closure it feels like anyone who might care about customer experience has given up or gone.

Edit: The parcel has now arrived, 4 days late. Good job my expectations were low as the attempt to style me for the office included bright green workout leggings and a short strappy leopard print romper suit.

Stock clearance disappointment

Thought I would try Stitch Fix before they left the UK as I had been meaning to for a while but I'm so disappointed with the results. They ignored all written instructions and sent seemingly any old stock they had left in my size - I don't think one person took the time to review my profile before I was sent a box.

The stitch fix branded clothes I received are of a low quality too, one item has very poor stitching that is already fraying and another has completely wrong proportions. It makes me wonder if the whole venture is simply a complex way to sell cheaply made clothes at inflated prices.

Gave them another chance & much better

In the interests of fairness, I am writing a review for the 3rd box I received after being persuaded to give them another go.

My third box was MUCH improved and I kept every single item.
Seems once a human being got involved and someone took responsibility then the issues were sorted out.

I can forgive 'not getting a style', that is not the issue. It is the fobbing off with lies and repeatedly sending things that I specifically said I didn't want, That is just wasting everyone's time and money - and is bad for the environment.

That said, I am glad I gave them another go as things much improved. My husband got a box and kept all 5 things. Ordered a second box and didn't like any of his previews. He dropped them an e mail to clarify and received an email to apologise and asking more questions to make sure they got his box right!

The men's does seem much better from our limited experience (but perhaps there is less margin for error there).

Shame Stitch Fix UK are going really. There seem to be real issues with the over reliance on the AI models - perhaps they should have opened an online shop to go with the boxes maybe for more revenue?

At least they seemed to genuinely try to fix issues (admittedly eventually) and they deserve credit for that.

Perhaps the over reliance on AI for styling - such a visual thing & so much nuance - is the failure here.
The chatbot/chat gpt customer service is also a problem. Customers who are already annoyed are just going to be increasingly frustrated with talking to a robot or someone reading from a script. This is not unique to Stitch Fix, but seems to be an ever growing issue across the board.

I'm so sad Stitch Fix is closing

I'm so sad Stitch Fix is closing. I only recently stumbled across them and they were excellent! I have no confidence picking clothes for myself so it was great having someone to help. The clothes I have received have been perfect for me. A brilliant idea and wonderful service.

I was gutted to hear that Stitch fix is…

I was gutted to hear that Stitch fix is closing. I have been using them for a very long time as I wasn't very good at shopping because (a)I had no patience and (b) I wasn't sure what my style was. But their AI solution solved that and after a few tweaks I always loved the clothes I got. Writing personal notes to them to say "I'm going to a wedding so need a jacket" or "going to Malta so want some nice tailored shorts" was great. I will definitely be upping my fixes to take advantage of the sale before they close. Hope everyone working there is able to find a new job and soon!

Am absolutely gutted stich fix UK is closing. My husband and I have been using them for nearly 2 years now as we both hate shopping and always go for the same style of clothes for ourselves. My husband used them first for a weekend away in Lisbon with the boys. He wanted something casual but smart and decided to give them ago. I can honestly say all the clothes sent were good quality, fit well and were something different than he'd usually go with. He then set me up an account for my birthday. I found nearly every item I had sent were also good quality, fit well and things that I wouldn't normally go for. The stylists really take all your feedback and needs into account and get a really good idea of what you like and match clothes to your lifestyle. I'm really going to miss getting my orders now and am dreading having to go back to the overpriced, poor quality high street stuff. 😒😒.

Sad it is over …

I have received some of my favourite clothes from Stitch Fix - I am so sad it’s closing down. I did wonder if there was an issue as the clothes selected for my last fix were nothing like I asked for and were all very similar to each other. I suspect they have low stock now. End of a very happy era ☹️

Not delivered

2 days I had to wait in for my Stitch fix package to arrive via the Post Office and it’s still not here. So disappointed.

Process is easy but outcome always disappoints

The process itself is very simple and enjoy that you can preview initial choices. However, I found the clothes on the “style shuffle” are quite out-dated and I never receive any of the items that I have actually clicked the thumbs up for. The stylists are often very hit and miss, most often it’s a miss. My most recent box only had 1 piece of clothing that was anything like my likes and the stylist only chose it because it was green, which apparently some of my liked items were. I wish they would take a look at the style of the liked clothing and fit of clothes that I’ve mentioned in feedback.
Often feel like I’m just giving them an easy £10 styling fee rather than actual effort into clothes that I would want to keep.
