Nader and Michelle Janati-Ataei first started this project with Belinda B. from your company. Everything was going ok until Belinda sent the first chapter to Nader and Michelle. When Michelle Janati read it, she thought the chapter was dry and not what Nader and Michelle were looking for in a book. Michelle then plugged the outline into AI and AI wrote the first chapter the way Nader and Michelle wanted. When Michelle shared her concerns to Belinda about the first chapter, Belinda said she understood and will work on it further.
3/30/2026 Michelle received an email stating "I wanted to share a quick update on your project. Belinda will unfortunately need to step away due to personal reasons. I understand this may come as a surprise, and I want to reassure you that we’re taking steps to ensure a smooth transition.” (Please see attached.)
On 4/6/2026 Michelle received another email appointing Jason as their new writer and to continue the project. (See attached.) Jason contacted them 1 time and said after he reviewed and organized all the information he would contact them again, but did not!!
From 4/8/2026 to 5/13/2026 Michelle has not heard from any employee from your company. She requested to cancel the book project and at that point receives an email stating your resolution. Then there was a follow up stating someone else will contact Michelle and still nothing.
Over the course of 8 months Michelle has been paying $500.00 every two weeks for this project that keeps getting more disappointing. She has paid a total of $
It is now October 22, 2026 and still have not heard a word from this company or even been refunded!!!!

My Story
I was persuaded by my daughter to get Story Terrace,
the Publisher to help me tell my story.
I was introduced to the editor Lara Delmage initially, who explained to me in detail the procedures involved.
I was to be matched with a writer and once mutually agreeable person was selected, the programme would start. First person I was put in touch was Vanwy Arif, who became my Writer as we both got on well together. I was told about the interviews and the format. Vanwy was helpful in getting my story in a chronological order, and getting the story divided in chapters with titles and accepted minor corrections. Vanwy did additional work in completing my story and suggested titles while giving me the final choice to decide.
The story truly captures me, better than I expected.
Augusta Valmaggia,the editor came at the finishing stages and was equally helpful in making final corrections and touches, and suggesting ideas about the photos to be included in the book.
All in all it was a great experience working with Story Terrace and I am truly delighted with the final result.

Your daughter gave you some very good advice! We're delighted you decided to go ahead, and that Lara set out each step so clearly at the start. Knowing exactly how the interviews and the writer match will work tends to make those first conversations much easier.
Finding a writer you get on with matters more than anything else, so we're thrilled Vanwy proved to be the right match. Putting a lifetime of memories into chronological order and shaping them into titled chapters takes real care, and Vanwy went further still while always leaving the final say with you. Hearing that the book captures you even better than you expected is the best outcome we could wish for. Agustina's help with the last corrections and the choice of photos clearly brought it all together.

Working with me with not feeling good from all the surgeries that I had to have and the meds that I'm on and giving me the extension and understanding that I am not tech savvy and it takes me awhile to get the courage to even look at it let alone try to figure out how to use it.

What an experience!
This company employs high quality people with talent! I worked mostly with Simone Leon. She was selected initially I think because I was raised in Southern California where she also lives, and we both graduated from the same college. When you go through a project like this, write your story, it's very personal of course. You're literally pouring your heart out to someone you've just met, in my case, someone much younger. I deveoped a real connection with her that was reflected in the book. When she sent me the rough draft, it looked like something that I wrote, had the same sort of expressions that I used. She was brilliant at capturing "me" in my story. Her editor, Tilly, was also a pleasure and talented. She helped with some of the final editing and found ways to improve my story. From my perspective, it was really a great experience and I am all smiles when I think about it!

I recently completed a book taster…
I recently completed a book taster session with StoryTerrace. I was absolutely blown away with what came back from my session. I was in the very early stages of planning my book, but after a 1 hour session I was provided with a clear plan of my book, which included an example piece of writing for what could potentially be the first page. I could not believe how much the writer found out about me in a one hour session. Her gentle questioning and probing enabled her to capture exactly what I want in my book.
If you are thinking of taking part in a book taster session then please do it. It’s worth every penny. 😊

Give it a go!
I was hesitant to start with as writing a memoir seemed like a very large commitment. I was interviewed by a writer at StoryTerrace and my opinion changed immediately. I was encouraged to tell my story, but to break it up into smaller, manageable chunks. The writer was brilliant and really helped put my thoughts into words on a page. The sample chapter the writer wrote was fantastic, capturing the mood of my story as well as capturing the atmosphere.
I would recommend StoryTerrace to anyone wanting to write. They have the expertise to help point you in the right direction and the ghost writers are very experienced.
