Excellent delivery and good quality of meat

The produce is great, the boxes are always damaged due to dpd drivers throwing boxes. Dpd says its not up to them to sort out their drivers. Even sent film footage of drivers damaging boxes. Would love it if another delivery service was available

Quality meat products as always. Previous deliveries hit and miss in Cheltenham, this one was reasonable but not to the door. Thanks to the business manager for getting involved.

Great quality beef, not uber pricey and quick,
reliable delivery. I appreciate the different cuts offered like Korean beef and sausage collaborations with restaurants. It adds some interesting variety to the standard meat order.

Bought the minimum £80 order. Included 2 packs Texan-Style hot link sausages as reviews on website (Reviews.io) raved about them. The raw sausages looked very different from the website picture. Followed the smoking instructions very carefully but the sausages looked hardly cooked. Fried them to get some colour. Hot they tasted unpleasant, cold they were disgusting, overprocessed and not coarse as promised on the website. Will be throwing away the other pack. What a waste.
Also tried their belly pork that took 8 hours to smoke to a point where we could just about chew the meat. Any other belly pork would be pulled pork by this stage, not Swaledale which was so tough it probably would never have reached the pull.
The sting in the tail? Left a 1 star review on Reviews.io and they never sent a verification email. Repeated that a day later, no verification and no posted review. Wonder if Swaledale Butchers know Review.io block reviews?

I have had many good experiences with Swaledale, the meat is good and delivery on time and whenever I have had to communicate with them their responses have been quick and to the point. I recently ordered a Cote de Boeuf and though it cooked well and was tender I thought the flavour was not as good as others I have had

The meat is of course excellent quality too and delivery service and packaging excellent.

All on time and meat looks great sorry to say much better value than our local butcher which is now why I order on line

The quality of the meat is consistently high. Meat arrives promptly and well packaged

Excellent sausages, clearly expertly prepared - no mealiness, good fat content, good seasoning not overpowering (all of which is not common in UK). Excellent cuts of beef (bavette and onglet). Pork chops however had quite strong boar taint, making them hard to eat.

Ordered steaks for a party they came smelling and in bad condition! Contacted then immediately and told to send pictures which did ! Made me get off steaks out of the bin to take pictures!
THEN REFUSED TO RESOLVE ANYTHING! Horrendous level of customer service too! Said WONT HELP OR DO ANYTING !
Avoid like the plague ! Il be perusing this as never had anything like this simply awful!

THEY NOW GIVEN SOME NONSENSE REPLY about not sending pictures which I did! THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY!

They responded saying I sent no proof and no photos and I did, this food could have made me and my family seriously sick !

Great products and communication! My only concern is the use of DPD. No fault of Swaledale but one of my packages arrived open and the other half of it was delivered to the wrong address. Other than DPD, this is the best online butchers in the country!

I love this company and their products! I don’t know what to rave about first. I started using the company for their grass fed, heritage breeds and nose to tail butchery and have been absolutely delighted with the product. I am a repeat customer and the quality has been top notch every time, absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the artisan steaks and ox cheek is my new favourite for a stew. If there are cuts I am unfamiliar with, the website has all the instructions and recipes I need. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the prices and recommend keeping an eye on the specials each month as, for example, I bought top rump on offer that was £15 per kg! The supermarkets are at least £18 per kg. Customer service and delivery have been excellent. Gorgeous, healthy food that is good for me, better for the animals, good for the environment and no one is being gouged by millionaires; happy days. Oh and I like that the packing insulation is recyclable too.
