The taxi driver scammed me out of money. I was quoted 25.00 for a very short ride. The driver changed the quote from 25 to 40 dollars. I would not this driver or service to anyone.
This is indeed a lie.
I was picked up at Aloha bowling alley and taken directly to my hotel at 11am after a 10 hr tour. Where would I be going in the middle of the night with 2 senior citizens. Stop with the lies.

Great service: very friendly driver who was right on time (even in the snowy conditions at the moment), clean car, good pricing. We would recommand this business to other companies who are looking for transport for their staff like we needed today.

Extreme Overcharging – Tourists Beware!

Review:
I recently contacted taxiamsterdamairport.com for a simple transfer from Schiphol Airport to the Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam (about 15 km). They quoted me an unbelievable €225 for a single ride.

On their own website, the same route is listed at around €75, and a comparable Uber ride costs only €35. Their explanation — “taxes, VAT and administrative fees” — was completely non-transparent and clearly unjustified.

I was travelling with a small dog in a transport box (the size of two suitcases), but that does not justify an additional €150 on top of the listed fare.
This strongly suggests price manipulation and the deliberate exploitation of tourists.

I did not take the ride because the pricing was obviously abusive, but I am writing this review to prevent other travelers from being misled or overcharged.

I strongly advise avoiding this service.

Me and my group needed a van to transport 7 people and bring us back from an event. Heard from locals that “regular” taxi’s are unreliable, so I thought I’d book one online and have it on standby too. I’m glad I did, because the driver was so nice and offered to help outside of the rides too (with luggage and opening doors to the building). Highly recommend!
