I purchased an ice cream machine from HTG.uk just over two months ago, and it’s been an absolute disaster. The machine is completely unreliable – extremely noisy, and you need to top it up with ice cream mix every two minutes, making it impossible to run a smooth service.
It broke down just two months after installation, and when I called for support, they booked me in for an appointment four weeks later. The engineer finally turned up a week after that, and to top it all off, I received a £230 callout fee invoice, even though the machine was under warranty! Completely unacceptable.
That’s not all. When I initially purchased the machine, the salesperson never once mentioned anything about a £500 “document/handling fee.” When I questioned it later, I was told the fee was “included in the price” – but this was never disclosed at the time of purchase. It’s clearly a trick to slip in hidden charges after the customer agrees to the sale.
I even raised this with the directors, pointing out that their staff need proper training to clearly explain any fees before asking customers to sign anything. This level of dishonesty and poor service is shocking.
HTG.uk is a company full of empty promises, hidden charges, and unreliable products. Avoid them at all costs – you’ll thank me later.
