Bought 16 boxes of laminate flooring. Opened two boxes to get a decent variation of the colour and design.
Cut and laid 4 pieces and the end 'lugs' of all four pieces broke off. This means there would be movement and gaps in the floor. Returned the 16 boxes and they only accepted 14 boxes back and I was only reimbursed for the 14 unopened ones. In other words I was refused full reimbursement on a faulty product. One of the boxes they refused to reimburse even had all whole pieces in it. They simply refused payment because it was opened. Would not consider this shop for any product in future.

Called made an appointment for a certain date, no one showed up. Rang shop they didnt even have my details saved on system. Eventually went out after been given clear instructions on what rooms were laminate & what rooms are to be carpets. Got that wrong as well & didnt measure all rooms. Mickey mouse stuff. Well over priced & poor service, wouldnt recommnend. This is their bread & butter. Avoid !

I'm a repeat customer. They offer great choices for carpets and flooring. Provide good advice on what to use. Service is great - install was scheduled quickly and on the day, the installers rang to give an ETA. James is excellent to work with.

Very good customer service in Walkinstown branch. Wayne was very helpful selecting carpet. Fitter was efficient and tidy.

It has been a very positive experience for my parter Jen and l from the initial meeting to discuss carpet options and quotes with Wayne Reilly at the Walkinstown store to the carpet install.

On the install, we had two absolute hard working and trustworthy gentleman who fitted the carpet.

Both installers kept their heads down working hard the whole time they were here, were very polite and decent people, you couldn't have asked for more trustatable people to have in your home, plus they did an excellent job.

I highly recommend this company as it was a pleasurable no hassle and very professional experience from the initial chat to competition of the job, thank you!

My experience with this company has been wonderful. I’d been looking for and at flooring since last year. I called to the Lucan branch and dealt with Robbie. The initial floor I’d picked wasn’t available until February so I got lots of samples and advice from Robbie. I eventually decided on French Oak. I can honestly say my experience picking my floors was not as stressful as my last experience. The fitters arrived and were excellent. Very helpful with cutting kicker boards. I would highly recommend dealing with this company. Robbie went out of his way to be sure I got the floor I wanted. And I’m thrilled. Thank you Robbie for making it a stressless experience . Now for the carpet. Highly recommend this company for the personal experience. 👏👏👏👍👍👍 Michelle

I bought timber floor fo the sitting room and Hal… I also bought carpet for bedroom….. It was a disaster from the beginning. I was told it would take 2 days, that 2 days ended up being 3 weeks… The floor fitter went missing many times with different reasons each time(all of them rubbish)The best excuse was that he
was going back to shop to get higher skirting’s to cover damage on wall…. He didn’t even take the original skirting back with him to the shop…. He arrived back 3 hours later with 1 length of skirting that was the exact same as what I was originally given….. The skirting was put up so badly that it all had to be replaced (by a different fitter)….. when the job was eventually “complete” the new fitter left….. about half an hour after he left I realised that the doors hadn’t been trimmed…. I was unable to close them…. I phoned the shop and was told he would be back out…. I waited 2 weeks until someone came to trim doors….. through out this I sent numerous emails, not 1 was returned… when I phoned shop the person dealing with it was never there …. A week later a piece of flooring at the stairs came loose, I waited a week to get that sorted…. Not once was an apology given….. please do not employ these chancers to do any work for you

Recently purchased 2 carpets, excellent service, beautiful carpets and very happy overall.

It's great to see the rolls of carpet in the shop, not to be picking from a small sample book.

I visited TC Matthews Carpets, Lucan, Co. Dublin on 16th July 2020 & was asked to fill in a COVID contact detail sheet that was at the front door. There is space on the form for 10 customers to fill in their personal details & I had access to those customers details. I contacted TC Matthews Head Office to inform them that I thought that they were in breach of GDPR. They thanked me and replied that they would remedy the situation. I returned to the store today, 1st August, 2020 to see that no change has been made & that customers names, addresses & phone numbers are on view to the public, in fact I was able to take a photo of the contact details of those customers who had filled in the form earlier in the day from outside the shop as the form is directly inside the door. When we were let into the shop we were asked to fill in our details on the sheet. We pointed out that it was a breach of GDPR. I offered to give my name & number to the staff member but did not want to leave my details on the public view. The staff member then told us that he was requesting that we leave the shop because we wouldn’t fill in our details on the sheet that was on public view. The customer service was appalling. The staff member we dealt with was extremely rude. Given the current COVID situation we were very willing to give our contact details but not in the manner that was requested. The staff in this store would benefit from customer service training. I have since contacted the Data Protection Commissioner to inform them of the GDPR breach.
