I completed the quote and there was no option to redeem a $10 guft certificate or receive it?
I send a complaint to TD insurance but waiting for a reply
I also tried chatting with a bot to eventually chat with an agent but their website was extremely slow and unusable?
I took 30 minutes off my day to do this and I get nothing but grief and your unusable website?

Offshore call centre.
TD Insurance needs to have their call centre in Canada. I was speaking with a very nice lady but she couldn't speak good English and didn't have a clue where Alberta was. No, it is not in the USA ...... OMG!! plus he also didn't realize that parts of Canada have both addresses in both English and French. That was painful.
Took me 45 minutes and finally got a quote that was double that of every other insurer.
Do yourself a favour and don't waste your time with TD.

TD insurance has the worst customer service that you can imagine. Mismanaged claims, slow service, inexperienced advisors and outrageous premiums.
I was a customer for 24 years and in the last 5 years TD has completely flopped. Stay far away from TD as they do not work in your best interest.

We switched our house and auto insurance because the net savings were significant. 3 months after signing up, they increased our premiums on our house by double because they said our garage was a house because it has living space above it. I cancelled both policies and they charged me a cancelation fee for the car because they said it was canceled early. I escalated this and received the same response. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR ONLINE TOOLS OR THEIR REPRESENATIVES. The rates will increase and you will be charged if you cancel early. So they can unilaterally increase your rates mid-term but they will charge you with fees if you try to cancel. I am not impressed.

TD insurance is the worst for taking auto insurance for as it will tell us it will give a good discount and ask us to install it's app where it capture the rides and give us bad points even though you drive good and take the discount down it's the worst insurance and should be put down and talked to manager and she was abousotely unprofessional who treat the customers in the worst way.

Getting quote for changing a address on…
Getting quote for changing a address on policy from a advisor, he named (Mohammed ) finalized by himself without my consent and changed my monthly payment from $376 to $790 a month (which is $8k a year for 2018 car) with same coverage as the current address have. The worst customer services ever seen who don’t listen to what his customer says and making decisions by their own, cancelling policy right away and suggesting everyone not to get in a trap.

Only because I couldn't give 0 stars. This companies practices are almost criminal. I was with this company for over 20 years with no claims. Once you make one you are treated so poorly. I was lied to about my vehicle insurance and was told once my speeding ticket went off my record which was March 2025 my premium would go down. Called in April 2025 and they said it will be reflected in next renewal in March 2026. In March 2026 my premium went from $3800 to $4000 then 4 days before the renewal TD changed the premium to $8,000. With a clean driving record and no accidents ever they did this to me. The reason in my mind is because my house suffered hail damage in 2024 and my claim settled in 2025 and 2026. TD changed my vehicle insurance right after that claim settled. Thankfully I changed insurance companies before TD could increase my car insurance. I won't even get into how difficult TD was to deal with on my house claim. This is a TERRIBLE insurance company. DO NOT USE THEM

Terrible coverage and price gets higher every year without any claim. The price went from 2000 for 2 properties up to 4130$, 5 years later.
I called to discuss how we can lower the coverage and the guy on the phone asked me a bunch of questions on both houses, all the details that were provided 3 years ago when I added my secondary house. After removal of some coverage, and adding security cameras information, my new premium was 400$ more, so 4500$ !!
And he told me it was because I was using my secondary residence too often, like going there on a regular basis was adding risk to the property, when 3 years ago they explained the secondary home was priced higher because it was empty most of the time ! And the fact that the roof was metal was more expensive to insure ... what a pile of crap.
I found a better coverage for 1887$ for both houses at Allstate so at least I am getting a lot of savings by cancelling with TD, even though they charged me 411$ in cancellation fees
I've been a 26 year customer of TD…
I've been a 26 year customer of TD Insurance Services. My home insurance policy increased significantly this year over previous years. Naturally I called them, just like every other year. At best all the customer service agent/s could do was speak to what was on their computer screens, they did not understand insurance. At all. They could not explain why I went from paying $1k/year a couple of years ago to being asked to pay over $3k/year going forward. We immediately got a quote from a different broker. It was less than a third of what TD was asking. We subsequently went through the process of cancelling (not renewing) with TD. To describe that process as "painful" is a significant understatement.
Standard insurance leaches
Uneducated agents, prompt after prompt to get an agent, and no communication via text, call or email for policy changes. Easily the worst insurance agency. I wouldn't give them any business ever again. Very disappointed.

I’ve been a TD Insurance customer for over 2 years paying tenant/renters insurance on my condo apartment in Toronto. I recently discovered that my policy had me classified as a condo owner the entire time, resulting in me being charged at a significantly higher rate.
In 2024 I was paying $67/month. In 2025 my rate jumped to $95/month — a 42% increase with no claims, no changes to my unit, nothing. The Ontario industry average increase in 2025 was only 7.15%.
When I flagged this, TD corrected my classification to tenant — but only going forward. Their new quote came in at $60/month, which is still nearly double what tenant insurance should cost in Toronto.
When I escalated to a supervisor requesting a retroactive refund for the ~$1,100+ I was overcharged, he downplayed the overpayment and dismissed my concern entirely.
I am a renter. I have never owned this unit. I was sold the wrong product for two years and TD refuses to take responsibility.
If you’re a TD Insurance customer, I strongly recommend reviewing your policy type carefully — this could be happening to you too

Easily the worst company I've ever interacted with. Regardless of industry. Had them for 10 years because I was too lazy to change but it was so incredibly painful to interact with them I eventually had to. They sent a small amount of money to debt collections without it even showing up on my online account so I wasn't even aware of it. They make it extremely difficult to communicate with them or make changes, they don't do anything you ask without asking multiple times. It is just painful in every single way.

Possibly the worst website imaginable. It is inconceivable to me that TD could not put together a better website. Trying to retrieve login information is impossible. Getting a hold of a support person by telephone is ridiculously long. Nothing about this website is correct.

TD Insurance: Completely Incompetent and Reckless!
I was only notified about the cancellation by physical mail, which I received at my address more than a week later. Before that, I had absolutely no idea there was any issue with my policy — no calls, no emails, nothing. I have many automatic payments and expenses, and I usually don’t track them closely because everything is set up on auto-pay.
After receiving the letter, I immediately called to clarify the situation and paid the remaining balance they told me about. I was then promised a call back the next day to set up a new policy, and we even agreed on a specific time window. However, no one ever called. I waited, expecting them to follow through, and because of that I lost more time and couldn’t arrange coverage elsewhere.
During that time, I had no idea there was any issue — which could have put me in a very serious legal and financial situation if I had been stopped.
This level of communication and responsibility is extremely disappointing. Very unprofessional and careless service.

Honestly 0 star I would give TD one and only worsen insurance company in Canada Just wanted to collect customer money no customer service experience they have very aggressive behaviour and worst policy they have. when I take the policy I mentioned. I driven my vehicle for business but I have separate insurance policy for that. few weeks ago someone strike my vehicle my vehicle was total loss. economical insurance paid off my vehicle without any issues. I informed Td my vehicle is no more I wanted cancel my Td insurance and once I get my new vehicle I will get back to you but what happened customer service agent and Td insurance supervisor they cancelled my insurance from their end and make a note as fail to represent or something! I never make any claim with them and when I get my insurance I informed them I driving my vehicle for commercial with economical insurance but TD doesn’t care about my side cancel my insurance forcefully and steal all my money it is a dirty insurance company and worst customer service agent and supervisor don’t go with TD insurance worst insurance company in Canada.
