Our computer shut down randomly. Brought it into Techstar Galway to Michael + Jonny. They couldn't be more helpful. They checked out our computer and it was unfortunately non repairable but the guys recovered all our data and set up a new PC for us in just a few days with everything installed and ready to go again. Very efficient, Highly recommend Techstar.

I go to Tech star in Castletroy for all my electronic issues and devices, they never fail to deliver on service. Priced very well too. I choose to Support Irish based local buisness first.

Staff is great, patient and transparent.
Prices are reasonable.
They did take a little bit of time, but it's understandable because they had to source the part. I was even suggested a nice temporary phone that was perfect for my needs in the meanwhile, so they really know their stuff!
I thought I'll be charged a bomb looking at the damage but they only charged me for the parts. M51 Phone is as good as new.
Can't complain, I'm grateful and wish the staff and store the best of luck.

I got my laptop the day after I bought it. Very quick, and picking it up at the local store was very handy.

I was half way through building a top spec gaming PC when I lost my nerve and handed it over to TechStar who did a lovely job connecting up the multitude of cables and myriad of vulgar ultra bling. I am now ungriefable!

Hi, unfortunately my experience of the Ballincollig branch of this company has been memorable for the wrong reason. They carried out a repair to my iPad and lost the SIM card and the sim card holder. This can happen anyone . They apologised for losing both parts and agreed to replace. 5 months later and after multiple calls to the shop I still have not received these parts or even a call back.

I thought I had contracted a virus on my Dell PC. I was relieved when TechStar told me that a graphics card had packed up. Worried that other bits were also on the way out, I've replaced the PC. TechStar very kindly offered to recycle the original.

They should be called Tech Zero star, I took in my son's Samsung tablet in January as it was not charging, the staff on the day advised it would be a 35e diagnostic charge and that usually, they would change the screen and battery but only charge for whatever one was causing the issue, it should take between 5-10 days to fix.
I paid up and left the tablet with them, a week later I ring up and was told they changed the screen but that did not resolve the issue and they would order a battery and which could be another week, so I ring the following week only to be told no battery in yet to give it another week, this went on for 7 weeks so I eventually give up and told them I would be on the weekend to collect the tablet.
I arrive in only to be told the tablet is not ready as it needs to be put back together again and if it would be okay for them to post it out to me, again I agreed.
A week later still no tablet so I go back in to collect again this time to be told that the battery was put back together but as they have replaced the screen I would either need to pay for that (NO CHANCE) or they can put back on my old screen, only problem was they did not have an engineer to put back on old screen so they will post it out next week, it has been over 2 months now and I still do not have a tablet, I have long since given up on them repairing it at this stage I just want the tablet back with all its original parts.
I will never deal with this company again

I have fixed and used screen guards and I'm familiar with the method to fix it on different phones. This I ordered to fix on my own phone and I should say the screen guard had plenty of large ( not small ones) bubbles beneath it which was not disappearing even after trying to eliminate by finger pressing on it.

I tried to remove and refix but he screen guard was broken. It was a total waste of money for me not because it broke but because of the number of large bubbles on it.

Could not be worse. Laptop repair price went from 200 too 570€. Leave that alone, they took my macbook with a new charger and lost it. After claiming they didn't take it and telling me right in the face that it's not on the system, they were shown the receipt that they did. They agressively had a go at me for not coming earlier and gave an old and dirty charger with non-Apple cables as a replacement. Shop manager was super-rude and didn't apologise even once. Behaved as nothing is their fault at all. One thing certain - can't trust these people with a repair: will be overcharged, your stuff will be lost and you will get snarked at.

My son's school iPAD screen was crushed between books in his schoolbag. Didn't realise until the evening before school. Needed a bit of a rush job to get this fixed. Two guys I spoke to on the phone and in store were sound and this got fixed very quickly.

I can only say this of the jetland unit, they need to dial it back on the 'hard sell' tactics. they talked themselves out of a few hundred euros today.
