Lovely blanket and such good quality. I like to support the British made and a British family business.

Very smelly blanket (barnyard smell) , most unusual if was supposed to be recycled wool. Nice colours but unusable to the reek despite washing.

Update: Per my request in the edit below, where I have asked the company to either publish both my product reviews or neither, they have withdrawn my 5* review for the Clifton Herringbone: Birdcage rather than publish my 2* review for the poor quality "Random" blanket.

Two blankets purchased before Christmas. A lovely wool herringbone, to be gifted, and a random recycled wool blanket for myself. The latter was poor value - a thin, scratchy, brown rag of a 'blanket'.
In the new year, I received an email asking for a review of the products and I gave a 5* review for the former blanket and a generous, in my opinion, 2* review for the latter, with a picture of the item. Only the 5* review went live. I let several days go by in case attaching a photo to the 2* review slowed down the submission process. Nothing. I have resubmitted a review without a photo. I've resubmitted via the original invitation to review and resubmitted directly from the company website. Still nothing. I see the owners haven't acknowledged a review here in nearly two years but perhaps they would like the opportunity to explain why genuine poor reviews are ignored.

Edit: Thank you for the reply. While I understand that you may feel protective of your products, I do feel in this instance something has gone wrong with the review system employed.

Let me reassure you, there was absolutely no defamatory language in my 2* review, just an honest appraisal of one blanket being thin and scratchy and a photo of the same to show the colour composition being different to examples used on the website.

You have also intimated that multiple reviews from the same IP address is a possible explanation for my review not being accepted, but there were six days between my initial submission and the resubmission, with no live upload in between time.

I also need to point out that the recycled wool 'random' blanket is indeed the cheapest blanket you offer. However, the wool herringbone blanket (gorgeous, 5*) I purchased is the next cheapest at £70, not 'one of the most expensive' on offer.

I appreciate the offer of an exchange but I have already accepted the blanket as a 'mea culpa' (it's in the dog basket) and would prefer my review is printed to help other customers in their blanket buying decision. If both reviews cannot be uploaded, I would prefer neither is uploaded.

Great product, high quality and very warm. Delivery was fast over Christmas, ordered 1 week prior to the 25th.

My wife was very disappointed when she received her beret and mug. The Web site implies made in England hand crafted. The mug was made abroad and so small it was useless. The Beret was made in the People's Republic of China. We want a refund as we feel misled.

Purchased a fabulous large blanket, wonderfully made, an excellent colour choice and it’s big, offering good coverage for a tall person. Ordered a blanket box as well, that made it all into a wonderful gift.

I bought a lovely big Ashton blanket for my husband for our 7th wedding anniversary and it is gorgeous and is used daily on our sofa to snuggle up under. Perfect service from The British Blanket company to boot. I hadn't given much time for delivery just before Xmas but they delivered in time and in a lovely gift box that I added to my order. Love it. Great product let down by Awful customer support. Only order if you absolutely know you won’t need to return it.

My first order was a huge success, so much so that the recipient went on to order more. Buying from British companies is really important to me, so I was delighted to find the perfect gift.

The second order has been a disaster and customer service has been short and unhelpful. On arrival the colour was not as per online, so I requested a replacement in a different colour. It’s taken weeks to track down the return, no replacement was sent and finally I received a refund (almost 2 months after my original order).

I won’t be making another purchase.
I’ve found another UK ethical blanket shop with good customer service reviews.

Looks good quality, bought it as a Christmas housewarming gift, so yet to unpackage it.

The only annoying thing is the constant email bombardment subsequent to my purchase thinking I am in the market for further blankets, I will be but not on for good while, so perhaps your marketing team would benefit by asking as to what frequency of selling emails would be relevant to me….
