My experience with the energy shop was very good I was looking everywhere for a new supply quote that was keenly priced and the energy shop provided me with that they recommended so energy who offered me a fantastic price and I was happy to accept the price quoted the whole experience was very easy and transparent no hidden fees or catches I have used various comparison websites before and in my opinion energy shop is up there with the best of them I was totally aware of every step of the switch process from start to finish

I’ll admit it — I ended up with Scottish Power. Not my proudest moment. For a while, I had no control over my account. There was this so-called “friendly credit”: the money appears to be there, and yet the power gets cut off. A strange kind of friendship.
Now, thanks to TheEnergyShop.com, it’s a different story. A new chapter. I’m curious how long it will last — but maybe, just maybe, this time it’ll work.
Your recommendation helped me reclaim a bit of order, and a bit of dignity. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I have absolutely no recollection of signing up with your company. I was recently made aware that my energy supplier had been switched without my consent to So Energy. The first I heard about this was when my current supplier emailed me to say it was sad to see me leave. I want to stress I have given no one permission to move my supplier and moreover I am in a fixed deal so would not want to switch as it incurs exit fees.
I raised a complaint with So Energy which informs me the Energy Shop initiated the switch. I did not give the Energy Shop permissions to switch me or use my data to do so. I have wasted a lot of time sorted out this issue and I have contacted them to request:
- why this happened without my permission
- why you used my data without my permission in contravention of GDPR rules (again what you will do to compensate me for this issue)
I am also considering raising a complaint with the Energy Ombudsman which is dependent on a satisfactory response from the Energy Shop. But beware this company especially if it is letting others use the data they hold about you. It’s scandalous and I have wasted so much time sorted out the problems they created .
Without my permission they try to switch my electricity to other supply this is not right i don’t consent them to do anything for me i will report to the authorities if my details not removed from there system.

Without my intervention The Energy Shop instructed So Energy to take over my electricity supply. I have tried to telephone on several occasions with the line being dropped after a 15 minute wait. I will be reporting the incident to The Energy Ombudsman.
I note your response to my warning above. In response, these are the facts as I have them. I wasn't notified by third party of the impending switch, neither had I made a request. You have listed a number of telephone numbers which don't seem to work. I waited on your freephone number for more than 15 minutes on 2 occasions only for you to drop the line. There are similar complaints to mine listed on Trust Pilot. As they say there is no smoke without fire.

I was looking for electricity on Quarterly Variable Direct Debit
The Energy Shop filtered Eon as Quarterly Direct Debit. I messaged them to as if this was Variable Quarterly Direct Debit but got no reply.
I gave up waiting and went ahead with Eon. I found that they DO NOT do Quarterly Direct Debit as the Energy Shop had listed
Why haven’t I heard from you after a number of emails (no telephone number being available) asking why my transfer of electricity account from British Gas to EOn that you claim to have arranged has not materialised

I am extremely disappointed with The Energy Shop’s handling of personal information. Without my consent, my bank details were used to switch energy suppliers for Flat 10 Piccadilly House, BD1 3NJ, even though I have never registered with The Energy Shop or authorized any such transaction.
This is a serious breach of data security, and despite reaching out, I have yet to receive a satisfactory explanation. It is alarming that such unauthorized activity could occur, raising concerns about how The Energy Shop handles customer data.

It is so rare nowadays, to be given such amazing online service. Scott truly is fantastic! He went above the call of duty, assisting us with a Scottish Power error, and finally, once we were able to switch, he advised us on a tariff which is best for us - And this was not one beneficial to his company - instead - thinking of us as high users how our annual bills would be affected. Thank you Scott - for sure I will be keeping an eye on the energy shop tarrifs for the future and recommending you to our friends and family - In the 21st century, such diligent and personal service - it simply a needle in the haystack! THANK YOU!

Was quick and easy to submit my details then choose a tariff that would save me money on costly energy bills. Received emails from both my new supplier and existing supplier within a few hours of submitting the application, informing me the switch is taking place Was fully switched to my new supplier a few days later.
Did not get the quoted price I was given on the site and had to sort myself out.
Took 2 days and 3 emails before I got an answer from the company.

I live in the Milwaukee area and have had ongoing issues with getting service for my Jotul DV stove from the place I purchased it 10 years ago (and no other local places willing to work on something they didn't sell). In desperation, I reached out to The Energy Shop, saying that I knew I was far out of their service area but asking if they might be able to advise via phone or email if I sent pics/video of the problems. I got a prompt reply telling me that they'd be glad to help and suggesting particular pictures that would be the most useful.
As it turned out, I found a place (also a fair distance away) that was willing to service the stove and whose service area I was within. That place came and took care of things for me, and they will get their own review. I just wanted to say how appreciative I was that The Energy Shop was willing to work with me remotely if I'd been unable to find any other help. Good customer service is a rarity nowadays, and I was most appreciative of The Energy Shop's helpful attitude. If I ever move into their area, this is the place I'll go!

You folks are just fantastic at what you do. Price quoted was exactly as charged. Employee Jack did an excellent job and clean up was amazing like he never was here. Our fireplace works so much better and his work was right on the ball and his diagnosis was right on the mark. You have an outstanding service and are our go to vendor in the future.
