Scamming company takes money doesn’t do the work. If you challenge them they are very rude and block your number
I strongly advise against using Go-To-Gate and its affiliated service, FlyTicket Ltd. My experience has been frustrating, costly, and possibly fraudulent.
Summary
I purchased a plane ticket, paid for a name change, and then paid again for a new ticket to be issued. Despite receiving confirmation that the corrected ticket was issued, my aunt was denied boarding at the airport due to a name mismatch. She was forced to buy a new ticket at double the original price. Despite filing a complaint immediately, I have yet to receive a refund or even a formal response—two months later.
Detailed Experience
In August 2024, I booked two tickets from Johannesburg to Barcelona for my aunts, with flights scheduled for December 2024. Unfortunately, one of my aunt’s surnames was misspelled.
I contacted Go-To-Gate to correct the name and paid £35 for a name change.
The airline reportedly denied the request, so I was refunded and advised to rebook the ticket using the original cost as credit.
On October 12, I called Go-To-Gate and was redirected to FlyTicket Ltd, who confirmed they manage Go-To-Gate bookings and could process a rebooking.
I was charged £210 for reissuing the ticket and later received confirmation of the corrected booking.
The new booking, reference TNHK5N, successfully reflected the name change on Lufthansa’s website.
What Went Wrong
On the day of the flight, my aunt was denied check-in because the name on her ticket did not match her passport. Despite Lufthansa’s website showing the corrected ticket, their airport system did not reflect the change.
Neither Lufthansa nor Go-To-Gate/FlyTicket took responsibility, each blaming the other/ Lufthansa confirmed that the final responsibility to re-issue the ticket was on the part of the agent, Go-To-Gate/FlyTicket, saying there was nothing more they could do.
- My aunt was forced to buy a new ticket at twice the original price to board the flight.
We immediately requested a refund, as the new ticket purchase was only necessary due to their system failure.
Two months later, after multiple emails and calls, we have received no formal response or refund.
Final Warning
Go-To-Gate and FlyTicket accepted payment for a service they failed to deliver, leaving my aunt stranded and forcing an unnecessary, expensive ticket purchase. This is, at best, gross negligence and, at worst, a fraudulent practice.
I strongly discourage anyone from using these services. Their system failures and refusal to take responsibility leave customers powerless in critical travel situations. I will be escalating this case to the appropriate consumer protection bodies.
Avoid them at all costs.
Thieves. Takes money and ignores. No card payment wants bank transfers only!!! Steer clear if you’re reading this. You’ve been warned.
Big scammers do not fall for this they ask for money and to transfer to their account in natwest. Please be aware really bad company trying to pose as another company to make money.
