From Mrs F start to finish our experiene with…

From start to finish our experiene with the Good Care Group has been 100% positive - caring, professionial, courteous and efficient. Our request for a carer for my husband post heart surgery was made at fairly short notice but seemed to pose no problems to the company. A care manager visited my husband in hospital in Brighton - initially to meet us all and assess his needs. She was also amazing in asking the right questions re home equipment, medication, ongoing physiotherapy etc. It was of course a very stressful experience for all of us but, thanks to the Good Care Group, we felt completely supported throughout the
process of assessment and allocation of our wonderful carer, Dariusz. Dariusz arrived with the Group's local representative, Lynn. On that day she spent a lot of time with me - patiently reassuring me, sorting out a routine and even speaking (quite firmly!) to our GP surgery re medication and the need for a home visit as soon as possible. Our lovely carer Dariusz was intially
staying for 3 weeks which was quickly extended to 6 weeks when we realised how quickly he had become part of the family. He is a very thoughtul, caring and empathetic person and was also very mindful of my husband's dignity. He set up his own routines to ensure that Graham ate good and nutritious food to increase his weight and as Dariusz is a brilliant cook my husband was excellently cared for. He fitted in with us
seamlessly having a very calm, efficient and caring personality with a good sense of humour. I cannot recommend this Agency and Dariusz too highly.

Professional, supportive, compassionate! Top Marks for the Good Care Group

We have been so impressed with The Good Care Group. From the initial call to enquire about care, through to the fantastic live in carer we’ve been allocated I couldn’t be happier or more impressed with the level of service we have experienced. I found myself talking to really professional people with good understanding and willingness to help and provide excellent service. The care manager, Hannah Flack, has been absolutely amazing and so helpful in supporting us and ensuring my mother in law had a safe return from hospital following a hip replacement. She supported and guided us through the whole journey and found an ideal live-in carer who has been such an amazing help to my mother in law. Kasia is so experienced and such a lovely person she seems like one of the family.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Good Care Group and would gladly have them back if and when the time comes.

Compassionate and Understanding Care

The whole experience has been very good. Our first meeting with the Care manager to assess our needs was very comprehensive and understanding. We then received profiles of the carers to review which was very helpful. The carers have been very compassionate of our needs and very thorough in their care.

This being my first experience,

This being my first experience of having a live in carer I was naturally apprehensive. The care manager visited me in hospital for assessment and was at home with my carer when I was discharged. The carers have all been very pleasant, courteous, and friendly. They have responded to my needs in all aspects of care with special attention to my skin and privacy. I do not walk well and have every confidence in my carer ensuring my safety at all times. If the carers were drivers with cars then I would have awarded five stars. This has been a positive experience for me and I have no hesitation in recommending the Good Care Company.

Live-in care for parents

We are about 1 month into live-in care for my parents due to vascular dementia followed by a stroke for Dad and Moms own declining health. We have had a rocky start due to my parents struggling to adjust, however the Good Care Group has been amazing. The carer has clearly communicated any challenges and clearly documented any events, which we are able to read whenever we want within the app. The care manager, Nichola has met with my sister and I twice and communicated via text to provide information regarding the plan of care, and assist in problem solving the adjustment challenges. The carers themselves have been wonderful in providing my parents with the assistance they need with their self care, medications, cooking, light
housework, and even accompanying them to doctor visits. The Good Care Group have provided my sister and I with the peace of mind that my parents are cared for 24/7. Highly recommended.

The Good Care Group is highly professional

If you are thinking of using the Good Care Group you may be put off by the fact that they are not by any means cheap. However, the quality is what you would expect from having the best. We have had two carers for almost five years and I could not have imagined a better service anywhere. This is, of course, down to the individuals but this is also down to the Good Care Group having got them here.

Good care, good people

What makes The Good Care Group great is the quality of their carers. The two wonderful humans who are looking after my 96 year old mother are fantastic - totally different in character but a brilliant team. They are practical, kind, eternally patient with their client and honest with family and friends. I have learned a lot from them and am incredibly grateful for all they are doing. Above all they have a sense of humour - life-saving on so many occasions for client, carer and family. Thank you !

An excellent introduction for live-in care

The initial administrative process was straightforward and detailed with helpful staff giving me confidence as It was the first time I had done anything like this. The carer was very professional and obviously experienced in this type of work. I felt we developed a good working relationship with her and would welcome her back in the future.

Sensitive to Dad’s needs

The Good Care Group came to our rescue at short notice when we needed live-in care for Dad, making all the necessary arrangements quickly and efficiently. And both the carers are reliable, proactive, experienced, sensitive to Dad’s needs and very kind - just what we’d hoped for.

Respite

I am the main carer for my disabled mother and needed to arrange care while I went on a short break. This was easily arranged. The knowledge, and ability of the person from the company put us all at ease in the knowledge that mum was going to be well cared for. I would confidently use this service again.

Professional and compassionate

I found the communication and information provided was prompt and provided the details I needed. I was dealt with in a professional manner and everyone was very personable and helpful. The respite live in carer was everything I could have wished for, caring for my mum in a kind and compassionate manner which enabled me to have a relaxing and stress free holiday.

All well

All well! Bev refused to get washed or change his clothes, or go out, but as he ate well and was calm I think that’s the main thing. Handovers were both fine. I like Chrissie, our carer, - she’s pretty laid back and resourceful, likes to read and isn’t bothered about the lack of shops etc.

Good sales but dont walk the talk.

They are very good at selling their package, the reality is that it is not delivered.. they 'say' their carers all cook from scratch, fresh meals, actually they dont - they rely on Charlie Bigham. One hadnt a clue, the other is ok, good on presentation but as they dont eat meat it means my mother doesnt get any either (or if she does its not cooked properly). The documentation is intrusive and over the top, the care company say it will be shared and agreed daily with the individual, it is not, it is secretive and very intrusive. if you complain they dont even respond to you - they take constructive feedback badly. Are the laptops checked for viruses, our carer took down our whole family network with a device.
