My experience with The Indian Book Store has been extremely disappointing.

The books I received were not what I expected. They had missing text, unusual formatting, and no publisher or copyright information like a standard published edition. The overall quality was poor and did not match genuine copies that I already own.

What disappointed me even more was the customer service. I immediately contacted them, provided clear photos they requested. Instead of resolving the issue or honoring their own return policy for defective products, they eventually don’t care

There is no clear disclosure on the website that the books may differ from standard published editions. Had this been mentioned before purchase, I would never have ordered from them.

After my experience, I also came across many similar complaints online from other customers, which made me realize I wasn’t the only one facing these issues.

This is no longer just about losing ₹1,000. It’s about transparency, accountability, and treating customers fairly. I cannot recommend buying from this store based on my experience.

Very easy process and constant update of delivery process made it a seamless experience in buying online.. Good 👍

I have ordered a product over 1 week a ago and they have taken no action on delivering it. There is no option to cancel it either. These people are running a scam.

I wish I could give zero stars for this one. The quality of books are very bad, these are more like print of scanned pdf version. Even the outer covers are not good for the money paid. Very disappointed. This website is a cheap copy of the original Indian Book Store. Please don't buy.

They sell pirated books and thus causing loss to customers, publishers & authors. Dont ever buy from this store. All fake products with bad printing and charts & pictures. Big cheats

I purchased Sapiens by Yuval Harari. The quality of the book is utterly substandard. It is obviously a pirated book. The company policy doesn't accept return and refund request on quality grounds.

Trying to find how to report the company for piracy.

I received fresh and new copies of books I ordered . The print was as good as the original. I got free bookmarks too. I feel great about my decision of buying books from The Indian bookstore.

Worst experience ever. Book was delivered 20 days later, and it was just a xerox/print fromthe internet. Waste of money and time. Pathetic. Never buying from here ever again.

Book was damaged and quality of printing was very bad, waste of money, even though i thought of return it to them,but their returning process looks very lenghthy and amount return takes more than 10 days,bought two books,one is ok but another one is bad,i ordered for hard cover page only Rs.500 book "Thinking fast and slow" to avoid this kind of quality issues but still i got damage book and very low quality book,very disappointed with their quality of book even though i paid more for hard cover,here after i wont recommend anybody go buy through these kind of discount trap

Book I ordered is good according to the price, but the service is pathetic. It tooks two weeks to receive my parcel, I ordered the book on May 1, and it was sitting idle in the store till may 10, on may 11 it was picked, and on may 14 i received the book.

Thier (the sellers) response time is slow too.

We ordered a music book from them. 1st it came after 10 days and secondly when received it was fake. INR 800 book was a fake one. Just a photocopy of a very inferior quality and that to be content was not same as of the orginal book. This website is a fraud. They are cheater. DO not order from them.

Pathetic people. Sent incomplete order & then unwilling to provide any contact no. to talk. Hardly reply on email & WhatsApp. Took full payment in advance & now not even replying the query.

The books delivered are wrong, duplicate and fake. No response from the store.. only a whats app number is there which also does not respond after we pay.

This site is a scam. Ordered a Keychain advertised in their store, and have not received it yet. No reply to my msgs or emails. Such a scam...

I purchased two iron man helmets, paid in advance.. Alot of follow ups required, and late receipt of the orders

Ordered 2 action figure , ironspiderman and Itachi , The quality is amazing and the delivery was super fast , definitely some great collections of books and action figure on the site

I had sent them photos of print quality, book condition and the solution they gave me was 10% discount on my next purchase - but no solution to the currently bought books which are unreadable
The Indian Book Store has zero ethics, doesn't care for customer
I do not recommend anyone to buy any product from The Indian Book Store
