The bar offers an unbeatable spot to admire the cathedral's front.Nico, Ellie, and their team were incredibly welcoming and played a big part in making our day unforgettable.The food, drinks, and service consistently impress, making Veeno a must-visit whether you're spending the weekend in Chester or you're a local. Huge thanks to Nico, Ellie, and the entire team for a truly special experience!

My son gifted me a wine tasting experience voucher for Christmas. When I attempted to book, I received a rather abrupt response stating that vouchers aren't valid for Saturday nights and that we should have checked the fine print. Curious, I called again without mentioning the voucher and found out I could reserve a table for the same experience on a Saturday! It's quite frustrating that they sell these vouchers and then restrict usage. I would suggest avoiding buying vouchers from them.

We had a voucher for the Taste of Sicily experience at Veeno Edinburgh (Rose Street). We absolutely loved it! Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The sharing platter and matching wines were delicious. We plan to go back and take family / friends. Lovely atmosphere too. Thank you, Veeno 👏

Tried to book and join my daughter with my voucher in Chester. Phone constantly engaged for 2 weeks and no answer from their booking website. Chat also useless kept asking for a booking number!!! Avoid!!

Easy ordering, good wine

Was bought a voucher for Christmas by my son for a wine tasting experience. On trying to book have been told (fairly curtly) that they don’t allow vouchers on a Saturday night and we should have read the small print. I called again to see if I could book a table for Saturday (without mentioning the voucher) and there was availability for me to book for the same deal as the voucher! Shocking to promote vouchers and take your money but not allow certain times. Advise not to purchase vouchers from this company.

I have given 3 stars purely on the basis that the wine and paired nibbles were on point, no fault there at all, on redeeming a gift voucher from our daughter the guy at the entrance didn’t seem very happy, then we couldn’t get they’re attention for service, my wife went to the bar to order an extra portion of olives so when we asked for the bill we were charged over £10 for a £4 portion of olives (apparently an undisclosed service charge of 12.5% was acceptable for bad service throughout)) even though we were there with a voucher

Slight issue with the delivery (not Veeno's fault) but the manager at the local restaurant sorted it out for us very quickly. Thanks!

However "preferred delivery date" was ignored.

Order was personally delivered by local Veeno staff to meet pre Christmas, way beyond what you would expect.

First sampled Veeno wines at a tasting I. The Bristol Bar. Bought a couple of cases for Christmas from the on line shop. One bottle was broken in delivery and Mine arranged a replacement. Great service

This was a Christmas gift from last year that I finally got round to booking 12 months later…
And it was so worth the wait! We had a lovely evening; Ellie our host was brilliant, so informative on all the wines we tried and what foods should be paired with them.
Would 100% recommend this!

Our first visit to Veeno in Chester as my daughter gifted me a voucher for the I Quattro vino for 2 for Father's day. It was cosy, charming and the staff were helpful, personable and knowledgeable about the food and the wines. We really enjoyed it and had the tasting platter with wine pairing. We saw other customers food too from the normal menu which looked very nice and plentiful.

Easy to order but lacking tracking information.
Wine price was much better than in the wine bar itself even though they were giving a discount.
Shame they do not keep prices in the wine bar the same as the online shop.

Purchased a selection of meats and cheese and some wine to celebrate our anniversary. Nothing arrived during shipping timescales and then an email arrived saying my order had been refunded with no explanation why. When I queried this via email I was told they no longer ship food products via parcel force… why are the food products on your ‘online shop’ if they can’t be shipped? Confusing. I fed this back via email and haven’t even had a response from the customer service team.
A very different experience compared with our in-store one in Edinburgh. I won’t be trying to order from the online store again.

The order process was very quick and the items were well-packaged and delivered in a timely manner.

The wine we ordered was no longer available but staff at Veeno offered an alternative and it arrived within 2 days. Fantastic service.

We recently spent a blissful few hours at the Veeno Wine Bar in Chester to watch The Duke of Westminster’s wedding at Chester Cathedral - the bar is THE best viewing point of the front of the cathedral!

Nico, Ellie & the team couldn’t have been more accommodating, they really did help make the day extra special 👌🏼
