Thor trade copier is relaible and efficient. Makes my life so much easier.

I'm updating my original review to acknowledge the efforts made by Leon and the Thor support team in addressing the issues I've experienced.

To give credit where it's due, Leon has been responsive, transparent about certain technical limitations, and willing to investigate and implement fixes. I appreciate the time and effort the team has put into improving the platform.

However, despite multiple updates and assurances, my experience with Thor has continued to be frustrating, particularly when it comes to reliability.

Some of the issues I've encountered include:

- Incorrect position sizing: On one occasion, despite having my follower configured with a 1x copy ratio, my leader entered 4 contracts, but the follower unexpectedly opened 8 contracts instead, doubling my intended exposure. With a 1x ratio, the follower should have mirrored the leader's position size exactly.
- Missed entries and unintended trades: In a separate incident, one of my followers failed to copy the leader's entry entirely. Even more concerning, when the leader eventually exited its position, that follower unexpectedly opened a new position instead of remaining flat. This is particularly worrying because the follower entered a trade when it should not have had any open position.
- Followers remaining in open positions: There have been occasional instances where the leader's position was closed, but the followers remained in their positions instead of closing simultaneously. To Thor's credit, the team implemented an automatic safeguard designed to close follower positions within 10 seconds if the leader no longer holds any position. While I appreciate this additional protection, I still find it unacceptable that followers can remain exposed after the leader has exited. In futures trading, even a few seconds of unintended exposure can result in significant losses, especially during volatile market conditions. A safety mechanism should be the last line of defence, not something traders need to rely on for routine trade execution.
- Connection status inaccuracies: Thor displayed accounts as "Connected" even when trades were no longer being copied. I later learned that the connections had expired, but the interface did not accurately reflect this.

To their credit, the team has introduced changes involving order timeouts, retries, connection status updates, and additional safeguards. Unfortunately, these issues have occurred repeatedly, and I haven't been able to regain confidence in the platform.

One of these incidents also resulted in me losing an evaluation and funded account, which makes the reliability concerns particularly significant.

I understand that some problems may originate from Tradovate or its API rather than Thor itself. However, as an end user, what matters most is that the trade copier works reliably and handles failures safely.

Trading is already challenging enough without having to constantly monitor whether a copier is executing orders correctly, maintaining the right position sizes, or closing trades as instructed.

For now, I've decided to return to Tradecopia, which has been more reliable in my previous experience.

I genuinely wish Leon and the Thor team all the best and hope they continue improving the platform. Thor has potential, but reliability and risk management must come before additional features, especially for traders managing multiple funded or evaluation accounts.

I would be happy to reconsider my rating in the future if these reliability issues are consistently and demonstrably resolved.

Absolutely brilliant support. I called out a few issues/comments and they were fixed in minutes. I suggested some updates / indicators / changes to odin and thor and they were fixed immediately or overnight. Low latency remains primary objective all throughout. The CEO, Leon, himself responds to support tickets at times, which is incredible. I have subscribed for a few months now and moved from other copiers in parallel on standby (e.g. tradesyncer and via quantower) to just thor and now with odin as leader account - and about 40-50 follower accounts of mine (across rithmic, tradovate, dxfeed and project x) are copying seamlessly.

I love their system, I really can't wait for them to create FTMO USA or FTMO integration for TradingView.

Belle plateforme, très complète. Quelques petits bugs au début mais rapidement corrigés avec un top support.

So far after just completed trial perioud. Looks good.

Recently, I contacted the Thor Support team regarding an issue with the Thor software after an upgrade. The option to copy trades was no longer working when you had a Phoenix account.

The response and the resolution were incredibly fast. They upgraded the Thor platform and restored this functionality in about 20 minutes.

This is the advantage of working with a company that has its own development team. Amazing!

Very disappointing experience. I paused my subscription, but they still attempted to charge me.

The trade copier is unreliable — sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It also seems far too easy to breach a prop futures account when using it.

Customer support has been unhelpful, and overall I’m very disappointed with the service. I would not recommend it.

Thor copier failed to reliably copy trades between my own cTrader accounts. I spent 4 days actively troubleshooting this with support — trade execution sometimes went through, but stop losses and take profit amendments consistently did not, and only some accounts were ever affected. Support then went silent for 6 days after Sep 20, with no status update or acknowledgment during that time. This took attention away from my actual trading during a busy period.Ticket #0011 on Thor Trade Copier for proof.

Update, Sep 26: Below are select quotes and timestamps from the full support ticket (the conversation ran longer; these are the exchanges most relevant to the timeline of the delay, after most of the troubleshooting).

On Sep 18, 10:25 AM I confirmed the core problem was still open: "it does copy a market entry but it does not copy the stop loss to the follower, neither the stop loss ammendments."

Sep 20, 6:10 PM, I asked: "It's been a while and I wonder if you have any feedback?"

Sep 20, 8:19 PM, Leon asked a basic setup question — "Can you tell me your leader & follower here" — four days into the ticket. I answered the same evening, 8:30 PM.

Nothing followed until Sep 26, 5:24 PM, when Leon replied. He specifically denied giving up — "we didn't 'give up'" — but in the same sentence explained the silence as: "I just forgot to follow up."
This doesn't change the fact: no communication for 6 days.

Leon also mentioned they "updated our support system so that such unanswered cases are visible to us," implying no tracking existed while my ticket sat unanswered for 6 days.

Their diagnosis (mixed cTrader Live/Demo accounts on one connection) is plausible, but the fix is described as "should be operational on Monday" — so as of this review, the underlying problem is still unresolved.

It was addressed only after a public review.

Five Stars. I'm not getting paid or coerced to review.

Been copying for 1 week between NinjaTrader and TopstepX. Everything works as it should.

The chief engineer is active in discord. You can ask him questions.

I also noticed some negative reviews here.
A trade copier is not a magic tool.

By nature (this goes for all copy companies) you have to know or atleast ask structural limitations of the technology.

Example, you are in a futures position in ES in pre-market. You put a trailing stop. Tick by tick trailling.

9:30:00 opens, market booms 10 ticks. Your Master Account will send 10 requests in 1 second and probably choke the circuit.

And then you go out complaining hey this doesn't work.

Atleast ask Thor what you intend to do first.
They will be more than willing to assess and advise.

Thor is a great trade copier and supports almost any connection. Thor also has a great journaling feature with AI to help you improve on your trading.

Another cool feature is they have build a Ninjatrader Addon to allow copy trading with sim accounts. This means that even if you buy a dxfeed or projectx account you can still trade it on Ninjatrader.

The Thor programmers are always open for suggestions and improvements.
