Brilliant service again from Charlie. He has been very helpful and friendly on several occasions. This time delivery arrived next day, perfect pieces of wood ! This should keep me busy during the latest Covid lockdown.

I ordered some sawn timber with Charlie over the phone, I asked if there was anything they could do to speed up delivery to which I was told "we will see what we can do"- I wasn't very hopeful to be honest given the current situation.
However the wood arrived 2 days later!!
Thank you Timbersource, I'll be back soon.

Checked their online sales calculator for 9 pieces of timber. Gave exact measurements for all 9 pieces. Entered planed all round, cut to size and used nearest profile to the one I wanted on 3 pieces. Added delivery post code and VAT to get rough online estimate.
Sent my in exact requirements with drawings and measurements for the 3 unusual pieces to get exact quote. My 3 extra pieces must have been very difficult as the quote was 50% higher than online. I accepted. As a disabled service veteran, I wanted to tack the cut pieces together with least effort.

The delivery company pushed the pieces down the side of my house and drove off. The wood was not cut to size and the special profile was wrong. I was told to keep the wood and a new order would be sent asap.

I suggested that they send just the 3 special profile pieces and I would cut the other 6 to size myself. I suggested that would save them money and should entitle me to a refund for work not carried out. That was agreed.

The 3 special profile pieces turned up the next day. Excellent speedy service, but obviously they were not that difficult to cut in their mill. Still not cut to size and my enquiry about a refund was met with a long email about terms and conditions.

They have my bank details for the refund but clearly do not intend to pay up for work paid for but not carried out. I live in the east of the country and they are obviously cowboys from the Wild West.

The company response below is rubbish. I sent drawings with exact measurements on two occasions so cut to length was ordered and even discussed on the telephone on two occasions. I was even promised on the telephone that the replacement boards would be cut to length. They were not. The company response is a fabrication to suit their desire not to reimburse me for work I paid for which they did not do. This type of backtracking is something I have experienced with a few other companies. It's symptomatic of a culture of shoddy customer service. MCOL might be useful again.

I've been buying planed hardwood timber from Timbersource for a couple of years now, and they have become my goto supplier. I've had Sapele, Ash, Beech, European & American Oaks. Just taken delivery of an excellent batch of American Oak. Did have an issue of quality on a small part of a previous delivery, but it was rectified really well.

We needed to get some wood for our outdoor decking and didn’t know quite where to start but the staff at Timbersource were brilliant and made it really easy for us from start to finish. They helped advise us on the type of wood we needed, the quantity etc answered all my questions very patiently. The wood arrived quickly, all was in order, lovely quality and the decking looks great. Thank you!

This is the second order of Hardwood Timber from Timbersource, the first was for a batch of Iroko cut and machined to the sections i needed. I was contacted by a member of staff by email and phone call with regards to my order as there was a large amount, great correspondence and the whole order was perfect. I have just made a smaller order of Oak and had the same high quality of assistance ( thanks Charlie ), even though it wasnt for a large amount of timber the service is exceptional, my order was on time even though Covid19 has disrupted so many businesses. I will be ordering machined timber from this company from now on 5/5.....More like 10/10

I ordered some oak beams , paid in full .
There wasnt a delivery date, I waited a week and heard nothing so emailed to say I wanted to cancel. Amazingly I got an invoice and a note to say the order was due to deliver today and and couldn't be cancelled .
I said my rights say I can cancel any time . I got another email saying if I return the goods I could have a refund , bearing in mind it will cost me a lot to return.
I said I would refuse to accept delivery , lol well two days after asking for a refund the driver chucked the order over the gate and ran off as fast as he could with out alerting anyone.
Be wary of this company.

Excellent service from Timbersource. The website is easy to use, and gives helpful advice. As did the company when I emailed them. The quality of the wood supplied is excellent, and the service was quick. And there was no possibility of the timber being damaged in transit, it was so well protected all round.

I had to order a good few weeks in advance as there is a long tur around time.

That said, when I placed my order, one of the sales reps took an interest, gave me a discount as the order was quite large volume and gave me an exact date for delivery, which the company then stuck to. Any queries I had were answered in a couple of hours by email.

The wood I ordered is beautiful with very few faults or defects.

The company packaged up the wood for transport very well indeed. So there was no transport damage at all.

I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them.

Once again Timbersource came up trumps at a time of need. Required a quantity of Western Red Cedar, planed to profile and cut to required lengths. Obtained personal attention from Charlie Hucknell who went out of his way to source required timber, at a very reasonable price and have it delivered within 3 days of placing order. Highly recommend this company. Thank You Timbersource.

Excellent service from David Knight at timbersource ,being a complete novice Dave arranged all the cutting and shaping of the wood I needed to upcycle my chairs . They look great thanks for the brilliant service

I have made several orders with TimberSource including the supply of ash for a hardwood kitchen and also for an oak framed garden room. I have found the service to be excellent, and can not fault the response to my questions and updates to design of the oak frame to meet our site specific requirements.

Based on my positive experience and the cost competitive offering I will be ordering an oak framed garage as my next project.

Visited the yard as I needed a bit of advice. They were very busy but still made time to help me choose some nice oak boards and load up. Good timber and despite being busy were very helpful, they're obviously doing something right!

I ordered some wood from there on the 23rd of June and all was good. I never got a email saying when the delivery would be so I emailed them and got a reply. I waited in all day and it didn’t turn up. I called them they said they didn’t know what had happened and would make it a priority for first thing in the morning. After 3 days of waiting it still hasn’t turned up, no calls to say why and no matter how much I talk to them I can’t seem to get my delivery. Ver very bad communication and service I will never use them again. I was also told the MD would be in contact with me and he or she hasn’t contacted me as yet. It looks like I will be looking at legal action in the future to resolve this problem.

I was concerned there were some poor reviews of Timbersource but they offered the best price so I gave them a go. I saved money by not paying for a specific delivery date and the wood was delivered within two weeks. It was a day later than promised when I called them, but I got an accurate delivery notice the day before. The Iroko wood is great, cut to size, although slightly rough cut.

The online cuttling list calculator was easy to use for prices but I called the office for advice and I'm so glad I did. Charlie was really helpful and I had my planed oak cut to size delivered 4 days later.

Poor service, no respect at all with clients.
No dates for deliveries, no communication, Nothing happen. It is unsuitable.

I found Timbersource incredibly frustrating to work with.

I ordered 3 shelves and Timbersource provided a full, long piece of wood. They said that this is standard practice for timber, and that I should have clicked the Cut to Size option. I thought that ordering 3 shelves was good enough, as this should have clearly been Cut to Size.

The reality is that the wood is nice, but I also ordered 3 distinct pieces, not one board, so I was delivered a huge piece of lumber which now needs to be cut additionally. I don't have a proper saw in my house, which is why I ordered 3 shelves.

I found them relatively courteous but completely unhelpful over email - and completely un-apologetic about their mistake. Their only compensation was to offer to cut this by courier at my cost, which I don't think is sufficient.

I had also asked about delivery date which they had said was on a date more than a week different from when it was delivered. While this wouldn't have been a problem with 3 shelves, the difference in timing with a huge long piece of lumber made a miserable experience for my apartment complex.

So, I mean, the wood is fine. But they are pretty bad with business.

Two orders, no issues.

I have ordered twice from Timbersource both with totally bespoke profiles of American Oak. In both cases the wood arrived well packed and very nicely finished. Would definitely recommend them.
