My wife bought me a TOG Santoku for my birthday in March (after dropping a few hints) which immediately felt very special. I have a set of German steel knives which are kept sharp on stones but this immediately felt so much lighter and sharper straight out of the box. I therefore felt a need to purchase another knife and decided on the Mini Bunka as I thought this would be a good compliment to the Santoku. The first one received was not nearly as sharp as I had been used to from my Santoku experience and I felt the need to get in touch to gain a replacement. The replacement received today is much better and has that special feeling again, so many thanks for arranging the replacement. Perhaps not quite as quick a resolution as could have been (I guess we are all used to Amazon these days with near instant returns when needed) but I suspect that they do not get many faulty TOG knives. A tip for people who read this before ordering a knife - don't 'add to basket' from the scrollable page with all the knives - go through the view details as otherwise you don't get to add the free blade guard (I sadly have missed out on this addition). I will probably save for another knife though :)

Amazing customer service. Such a great company to buy from, can rely on them for precise and super helpful service - never sales focused always need for the product to be the right one for you and for it to last. I've got them and have bought several knives as gifts over the years and they are so wonderfully appreciated.

Really love these knives, they are great to use, sharp and well balanced. Also own the ‘Ox’ chopping board which is a kitchen must have!

Unfortunately, not able to purchase knives in one go due to cost so they have aged at different rate as you’d expect with a natural product. Be prepared the dark handle lightens substantially with age, even after oiling and waxing so look tired quite quickly. I’m told they aren’t stained, but it’s almost as though the stain has come out and you’re left with a light wood.

Still lovely knives though.

These knives are so good. They seem expensive but I expect to have these for years and to use them at least once every day. Life is too short to drink bad coffee and to use rubbish knives. These are superb.

I’ve always kept all my knives RAZOR sharp for over 70 years. Although I quite like this knife it is not razor sharp. A lot of work needs to be done to get it up to my standards.

Just received my Hare Chopping Board, and all I can say is OUTSTANDING! I don’t know how a chopping board can be beautiful , but TOG have done it. It is pure class and the craftsmanship is exquisite. I just need to buy the balm now and I’m all set. Looks so good on my work surface, has received lots of comments and really suits my Santoku knife.

Great Quality Knife, the Hogonokami is well built and seems quite reliable. Sharp enough to do the work but still hold its edge.
