Unacceptable Service and Lack of Accountability at Tommy’s Express Car Wash
As a TommyClub Unlimited Subscription member, I trusted Tommy’s Express Car Wash in Visalia, CA, to clean my vehicle safely. However, in June 2025, my rear windshield wiper was damaged during multiple washes, a feature encouraged by their unlimited plan. The site leader blamed me for “neglect,” claiming a flipped wiper blade caused the issue, despite the car wash’s equipment being the likely culprit. Customers shouldn’t have to inspect their vehicles for equipment-related issues after every wash.
Worse, the Visalia location refused to provide their insurance information to my insurer, USAA, which may indicate an attempt to dodge liability or a lack of proper coverage. This has complicated my ability to resolve the claim efficiently. Additionally, co-owner called me to question my car wash usage and complain about my honest review, which was unprofessional. While they offered $1,000 (damage to car was approximately $3,000) for repairs and insurance costs, the process was frustrating, and their refusal to cooperate with USAA is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this location until significant improvements are made to equipment, customer service, and transparency.

I signed up for the three month promotion when I did the gentleman said that there was an extra month available so you get four months for $15 per month now that it did not work out they charged me the full amount for that month very deceiving

The machine wash mostly damage windshield , and to often do car wash rusty your car due chemical sit inside the body frame , also the Equipment for wash the carpet not working for long time over 2 weeks no one attention to fix also the suction vacum not been clean well no suction at all , so members paid from lower to medium & high price realy not please about this service, look like paid mongkey got peanut. No wonder know during nice weather the lot is empty also so pricely for 3 minutes $15 , should be around $5 to $9 .
Business in America so gready to make profit want quickly but end up bangkrutsy,& Chinese reasonable price but keep flow cash quickly & moving for last and growth for the next place

Gio was super helpful and showed me how to use the vacuum and gave me details on the various kinds of washes.

I love this one (on Sunset Dr here in Johnson City, Tn)! Today I had my car washed and it was the only car wash that actually gets your wheels clean! Their employees are exemplary in helping in every way! I wish to commend 3 employees that greatly helped me: Landon, Emma and Hailee! They made my experience wonderful!

Carwash is mediocre - no real complaint. But I signed up for Tommy's Club, thinking it was only a two month trial. Now I can't get out of it. Tommy's apparently doesn't believe in answering the phone and hasn't responded to either my phone message or e-mail. Looks like my only option is to cancel my credit card.

Went to Tommy's car wash and tried for the first time in coldwater , MI , and it will be my last , didn't even clean whole car completely missed rear window and tailgate plus bumper never been so dissatisfied in a car wash!

Won't refund my money. Auto debit should not have been on . They said they turned it off. ¿??????

Disappointing Experience at Tommy's Car Wash

Taking my 2020 Ford Expedition to Tommy's Car Wash was a massive mistake. Their faulty equipment outright destroyed the rear wiper assembly on my vehicle. Shortly after exiting onto the street, I noticed my rear window was wet and turned on the rear wiper--only to find it malfunctioning. To make matters worse, I was rushing to pick someone up at the Fargo airport. When I called the manager, Chad, to report the issue, he blatantly refused to assist. His justification? I had driven off the property.

This blatant lack of accountability and complete disregard for customer service is beyond unacceptable. Tommy's Car Wash clearly prioritizes their own convenience over the trust and satisfaction of their customers. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and repair costs--stay far away from this car wash.

Been a member for about 6 months at Tommy’s. They’re always very nice and smiling, which makes the experience even better. The manager, David, even came up to me and gave me some free air fresheners! Last time I went, they also gave me free cloths to dry my car. I really appreciate that this wash doesn’t leave any scratches and gets my car cleaner than other places I’ve tried. Definitely my go to car wash!

Adam Matthew Bruckhart White old racist! I’ve been a member for 6 months and my car got damaged while I was getting it washed. Tore my bumper completely off. He refused to acknowledge any fault. He repeatedly said how dump and negligent I was for having my car at a car wash and that the damages were my fault, he refused to give me the companies insurance info and told me to contact my own insurance if I felt like Tommy’s express was in the wrong. This place needs to be closed down! He’s a coward and an A-hole he kept saying how he was a former cop as if he was on an ego trip or something. He wouldn’t had addressed me in such a asinine manner if I was a big black man

This car wash at 15th and I35 used to be coulter car wash and never had a problem paid $40/month not one complaint. Since changed to Tommy it is aggravating to try and get through the gate I pull up and wait every time even though there is no need I am patient but sometimes I have to honk one time a kid yelled at me.looking for a new car wash

Total rip off. I paid for a monthly subscription and 20 days later these scumbags tried to charge me again and cancelled my account which means I only got 20 days for a monthly subscription. Total rip off so save your money from these scum...

“Free Month” BS! They will charge you the moment you roll through, then say its actually up to the local owner to decide.

I was at the Rochester, MN Penny Lane car wash last night (3-26-25) and I had to update some billing information. The two clerks working (Mia, Chad) were super friendly, helpful and it was so nice to have good, normal service. So many people are negative, sarcastic but not these two. They helped me and I upgraded my service..thanks!

This Carwash tore my bumper off of my vehicle

This car wash totally trashed my car. I signed up when they were brand new and pointed out to him when Ken was manager about my headlights being trashed from the car wash and my paint. So dummy me I keep using the car wash. I have a Porsche Cayenne and the headlights are trashed and the paint. When I was with ultimate car Wash this never happened. My advice to anybody out there do not run your car through this car wash unless you have a beater and don't care. Pictures to come

Went thru car wash and got grease from front hood, windshield, top of car to back trunk. I got home to clean door jams when I discovered it. Went back out to Ephrata car wash and showed the team. They said the only thing they can do is to run thru again. Still same issue. The management team did not even come over to see if problem was solved or not. I pulled over and finished drying my car and wiping all the grease marks off.

Very disappointed
