I Bought a car from Topgear yesterday, now I'm sure the other staff members are decent BUT in all my years of driving and about 25 odd cars I've bought, yesterday was actually my most pleasant experience, if you do fancy a car deal with a guy called Gee, I can't recommend and praise him enough, I bought the car solely because of him, he's very honest, very truthful and having driven 180 miles I needed to be sure, since then he chased up to see how the car was on the long drive home, which was more than smooth by the way, he didn't have to go above and beyond GREAT CAR GREAT DEAL. What more can I say

My first gear problem was very scary, another garage recommended Top Gear and I was dealt with pleasantly and efficiently by them, the job and price explained and the car was ready in 24 hrs.

Needed a new clutch on a small car so took it to top gear as they were the nearest company .
This review is based on overall experience. Can’t fault the work on replacing my clutch , so far so good (5 out of 5) can’t fault fault the speed of the work carried out , done on the same day (5 out of 5 )
Now the downside - please make sure you ask for the price in total ( eg inclusive of v.a.t ) see what trading standards advise with garages on this matter. I made the mistake of not shopping around for quotes first .
When I got the final bill I thought it was expensive, but obviously had to pay . The next day I decided to get estimates from 3 different reputable clutch company’s . To my surprise and shock I discovered I could have saved myself £200 to £ 250 for the same job . When I rang back the next day they told me they only use quality parts . I would think most clutch specialists would only use quality parts , who would want the headache. Not happy , but my own fault for not taking a couple of hours to shop around 1st
