I recently had a disappointing…

I recently had a disappointing experience with Toteme's customer service. I returned a coat and boots promptly, expecting a timely refund upon receipt at their warehouse. Unfortunately, I was informed that the inspection process could take up to 14 business days, not acknowledging my email request asking why it takes so long which feels excessively long compared to the industry standard of 5–10 business days.

While I appreciate the response I received from Nada, the Client Services Advisor, I was very frustrated by the lack of clarity surrounding their returns process online. I was not aware that UPS pickup could be arranged from my home, until I was told via what’s app as their returns information only referenced dropping parcels off at collection points, which was inconvenient for me.

Additionally, it was disheartening to see that they have not acknowledged any feedback on Trustpilot from previous bad reviews regarding their customer service. This lack of responsiveness reflects very poorly on a company with a global turnover of $100 million in 2023. For a brand of this scale, providing a seamless customer experience should be a priority.

My experience with Toteme has significantly impacted my perception of their brand. I hope they take these concerns seriously and the CEO and owners are made aware of how they treat customers and work to improve their service. Based on this experience, I am hesitant to order from them again in the future.

Terrible customer service and quality…

Terrible customer service and quality of boots does not reflect the price. Bought a pair of nappa heeled sock boots. Wore it once and the whole bottom started to peel off. Damaged. Which is crazy for just one wear. Customer service told me that this was due to wearing it in Winter and I should have added rubber sole before wearing the boots. Like.. what? It's Winter in UK. It's Winter ankle boots. Why on earth is that a reason for the sole going after 1 wear and who buys a boots to re-sole it before it's first wear. This company is a joke. I'm so angry.

MUY LENTOS. ES LA SEGUNDA VEZ QUE PIDO ALGO AQUÍ Y SON REALMENTE LENTOS. SE ESCUDAN EN QUE ESTA ÉPOCA ES DE REBAJAS Y TIENEN MUCHO TRABAJO PERO LA REALIDAD ES QUE LO QUE YO HE PEDIDO NO ES DE REBAJAS, YA QUE PERTENECE A LA COLECCIÓN PERMANENTE.
OPINO QUE YA QUE COBRAN EL ENVÍO DEBERÍAN SER MÁS RÁPIDOS Y PRIORIZAR CLIENTES

I bought a bracelet for 650 eur

I bought a bracelet for 650 eur. The quality of it was maximum cos. 30-40 eur, not more. I sent it back and its been a week after they confirmed they received my return but it wasnt processed yet. They wrote it can take up to 14 business days for them to process a return. This and the fact that customer has to pay for shipment and returns, tells me that this company has huge problems with cash/liquidity. All because their quality is way below their prices

10 Eur for return even though I want to change the item to a smaller size. (Boots are 2 sizes bigger than normal boots).
They use UPS which means I had to carry a huge box twice since the instructions via UPS/Ingrid returns in Sweden require you to have a printer at home. UPS indicates that you either print OR scan a code but my UPS package delivery store does not use bar code, so that option is not always possible. Why not make it easier for your customers and send a sticker return label OR choose another more modern carrier services provider.
Or let me return the item to the Toteme store, 5 minutes from my job just as other swedish high end-fashion brands let me do to avoid shipping and other more sustainable choices (isn't sustainability a huge thing nowadays?). Let customers exchange items to a new size for less than the cost of a full return is my five cents. Nice quality on the boots though and great they are made in Italy.

I am genuinely disappointed by my…

I am genuinely disappointed by my experience with Toteme. This was not my first order, yet I was subjected to an invasive “verification” process that included requests for sensitive personal and card-related information, only to be rejected afterward without a clear explanation.

For a returning customer, this kind of treatment feels humiliating. Security matters, but so do trust, transparency, and basic respect. When a brand positions itself as premium, it should not make loyal customers feel distrusted or disposable. Even the most established luxury houses manage fraud prevention without crossing this line.

This experience has left a very unpleasant impression.

Jag förstår verkligen inte hypen kring…

Jag förstår verkligen inte hypen kring Totême. Butikspersonalen verkar ointresserad av kunderna, vilket gör att jag nästan alltid beställer online. Vid de få tillfällen jag gjort det har jag fått returnera plaggen på grund av dålig kvalitet.

Senast beställde jag en blus som redan vid leverans kändes begagnad och smulig i tyget. Jag kan garantera att den hade börjat falla sönder efter första tvätten. För det priset förväntar man sig kvalitet och inte produkter som knappt håller ihop. Lägg hellre era pengar på H&M, där får man åtminstone plagg som håller längre än dessa.

Extremely disappointed – received a dirty, smelly and seemingly used shirt for €340

I ordered a shirt for €340 and was shocked by what I received. The shirt arrived dirty, with an unpleasant smell, and the tag looked crumpled and chewed. There were loose threads around the buttons, and the stitching felt cheap and unprofessional. It didn’t look or feel like a new item at all — more like something that had already been worn or returned and resold.
For this price, I expected premium quality, proper inspection, and presentation. Instead, I got a product that doesn’t even meet basic quality standards. Very disappointing and it completely undermined my trust in this store.

Awful quality - buy COS instead

Awful quality. I've literally never seen a brand spend so much on marketing and have such shitty products. My god...just buy COS at this point. Who are they fooling. Trying to execute The Row marketing tactics with COS quality products. Don't light a fire next to the clothes...it'll go up in flames.

BAD service - charge you too much

This is supposed to be a luxury brand. Nothing luxury about it! Expensive items so you buy for a large amount of money. You still have to pay for shipping. Then you want to return maybe one item and they charge you again for return shipping. No matter if you have kept other items on same order. This is ridiculous. I am NEVER spending this much money on TOTEME clothing or bags again. And customer is not helping - rather arrogant in their replies. Don't spend your money here - so many other brands with MUCH better service levels!

I am completely disappointed with the…

I am completely disappointed with the Toteme brand and the quality of their products. I purchased the Clutch T-Lock bag in Tan color along with a matching belt from the MyTheresa website. I used the bag exactly four times, and shortly after, visible scuffing appeared on the corners.

I contacted MyTheresa to express my dissatisfaction, as a bag in this price category should not show such wear after only four uses. The quality simply does not match the price. After some time, MyTheresa requested the bag back to conduct an inspection. A few days later, they responded that there was no defect and claimed the scuffing was caused by external impact.

However, the bag is in perfect condition both inside and out. Given that the T-Lock is a semi-structured model, if it had truly been hit, it would have shown dents or deformation — yet none of that is present. It is clear that the only issue is the poor leather treatment on the corners, which points either to a factory defect or substandard finishing.

MyTheresa claims that they consulted Toteme, and Toteme confirmed that this is not a defect. Yet I was never provided with any written report or documentation of this so-called expert assessment. Therefore, I have every reason to believe this information could be false.

Now they are planning to send the bag back to me without taking any action and without offering any alternative such as a repair or a replacement.

I am utterly disappointed by this level of customer service. This is not luxury shopping.

The Wholesalers are the problem and culture difference in customer service not the brand

I think the problems most are experiencing is because they bought their items from a wholesaler and not in Stockholm dealing directly with Toteme. It’s the wholesaler your really dealing with not Toteme, they might even be buying the defects on discount and reselling at full price. Toteme is a smaller Swedish company ( not a huge fashion conglomerate with lots of resources) with Swedish customer service (that takes a lot of time). I’ve never had a issue with items buying from the pop up store in Stockholm. They are actually over the top customer service for Sweden. Im now in Canada and unfortunately just fell on vacation and damaged my t-lock, I’m confident they would take good care of me in Stockholm because I can understand the culture and language but now I’m in North America I’m most likely hooped and I might just sadly have to accept that because it’s not a easily assessable massed produced North American brand with return and repair policies like coach.

I bought the T-lock croco-embossed top…

I bought the T-lock croco-embossed top handle bag from Net-A-Porter. It is a beautiful bag but has apparent quality issues and defects. After a Google search, I found similar quality issues but with different issues. My issues were apparent glue near the seams and a big dent at the bottom of the bag. Net-A-Porter offered me 10% credit after I notified them of the defects and sent them pictures, but with these blatant defects, I definitely did not want to keep this bag.

Very poorly made items

I have purchased two items: one belt and one bucket bag from Toteme via two prestigious websites., The belt came and the stripe doesn’t go through the hole well. The hole was literally made too small !! The other bucket belt was a disaster with huge quality issue. The two sides of the bag is asymmetrical. The leather of one side didn’t fold well and the bag looks cheap and poorly made!!! I was so so angry about it which makes me no choice but to write a review about it. It’s not as expensive as other top designer’s brand but it’s definitely not worth the price at all!!! Very very poorly made products!

Don’t ever buy from this company

Don’t ever buy from this company! If you return something they claim that there is a missing item in parcel. And they refund you only a half of your money without taxes. And you can’t not proof that all items where in the box because the weight was wrong at the beginning
