Shocking experience!
I’ve had an absolutely horrible experience dealing with Frank Ross and Alex Smith at Travelelink.

I haven’t seen my mum in 4 years and had been saving for a long time so I could finally afford to visit her. I found flights with Travelelink that were within my budget, paid the deposit, and everything was confirmed.

Just minutes after paying the remaining balance, I was told my flights had changed and the layover had gone up to 31 hours. I was then offered different flights, but they were more than double the price.

I asked for an immediate refund because these weren’t the flights I had agreed to. I was then told I would have to pay a £400 cancellation fee—even though this all happened just minutes after I had paid the balance. At no point before taking my money did anyone tell me the flights had changed.

After a long conversation, they agreed to reduce the cancellation fee to £250, and I’m still waiting for my refund 3 days later. Despite them promising my would be refunded on the same day.

I also asked Alex Smith, who told me he was the manager, for the contact details of someone above him so I could make a formal complaint. He refused to give me any details.

I would honestly stay well away from this company. My excitement about finally seeing my mum after 4 years turned into stress and disappointment. It just isn’t worth the risk.

THE DEFINITION OF ROUGE TRADERS.
This company is a scam company and i don't know why trading standard cant stop them from operating.
The agent “Alex ” dont know if thats his real name-is a liar and a scammer. I booked and paid £900.00 deposit for a flight to Ghana and when i called a few days later to pay the balance of £600.00 he told me not to worry about the balance until few days before departure and when i insist to pay the balance he then told me the ticket is gone up to £2,600 because of the war in Iran,so if I want to travel on that month of May then i should pay more,i was so angry and upset that I decided to search for their office to go meet him face to face,then a friend told me to check with British airways first to make sure the reservation was not fake, and BA did confirm that my ticket reservation doesn't exist. And when i mention to them that my ticket reservation doesn’t exist on BRITISH AIRWAYS system that was when TRAVELELINK went cold on me my phone calls and emails were ignored ,i had to buy a new ticket from British airways far more cheaper than what TRAVELELINK offered me.
I have reported the company to all the authorities that i know of and my credit card insurer is dealing with a charge back,
Please my fellow travellers stay far away from TRAVELELINK even if they promised a free air fare dont go near them because they would make your travel HELL.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK FLIGHTS WITH THIS COMPANY AND STAY AWAY FROM “ALEX SMITH” he is the true reincarnation of Lucifer, LIARER and HEARTLES.

These people, know how to scam you, I paid £400, for a ticket of £972, only to be told the ticket has gons up, now i want my deposit back, they pressurising me to buy a ticket, i cannot afgord, im sending messages to Ricky Bell, all i get is " Im going to speak to my manager', im so angry that £400 was part of my ticket money😪😪😪

Faizy Howbs 02033409474 helped me patiently but I got disappointment when my tickets went higher than expected. They paid for 3 tickets and I did a payment plan to pay up my tickets with them.Thank you for assisting me

If there was an option for one star I would , reserved a flight with them and as soon as I paid half the amount ie 250 pounds on 02/06/2026 they then called 3 hours later saying the flights had issues on my returning flight ,and there is now a layover of 32 hours and if I want to sort another returning flight I'd need to pay 800 extra . I tried getting them to cancel and refund they said there is a £150 cancel charge. Absolutely a scam , do not trust the 5* reviews on here.

Very poor experience with Travel E Link. I would strongly advise avoiding them.

I was approached with a “discounted” offer and encouraged to reserve flights quickly. After going through the process, I was then told there had been a change from the airline and the price suddenly increased by around 50%. This was after I had already committed, which felt completely misleading.

When I challenged it, I was pushed to make payment directly to their bank account with promises that tickets would be issued straight away. This is exactly how I was caught out previously, reserve first, then the price changes, then pressure to pay more.

What’s more concerning is that this doesn’t appear to be a one-off. There are multiple reviews describing very similar situations, prices changing after payment, tickets not being issued on time, and difficulty getting refunds.

I’ve also asked them to delete my details and continue to receive unsolicited messages.

Overall, this felt unprofessional and dishonest. I won’t be using them again and would strongly recommend booking directly with airlines or well-established travel agents.

I booked a return flight with Lisa Das
She booked the wrong return date.
I had to pay another £200 to get back.
All she had to say was sorry and offer a £20 voucher .
This was a complete insult.
Please stick to booking direct with airlines or recommended trust worthy agents.

Stay away completely. They are fraudulent, even go as far as emailing you a doctored e ticket. I contacted them for a flight from London to Nigeria with 2 check in bags, and was quoted £545. After i made a deposit of £300, I was then informed by the Manager Alex, that my date was no longer available and offered me a different date with an increased price of £760. When I ask for my deposit back, I was told it's with the airline and subject to a cancellation charge. After going back and forth I settled for the new date and price. An e ticket was issued and emailed to me which clearly states 2 check in bags, only to find out when I checked with the airline that it was only 1 check in bag that was booked under my e ticket. For over 2 weeks now, they have been promising to update the baggage allowance to 2 but nothing has been done, and they have stopped picking my call or whenever the call is picked they keep me on hold to speak with Alex and drop the call after a minute of holding. I have reached out to Royal Air Maroc for help but none was received because it was not a purchase direct with them. Stay clear of this company.

Blamed myself for not reading the reviews before scammed by these people.
Was assisted by Fizzy who made me pay the reservation charge for three people for tickets which were never issued and after some days they asked me to pay £2000 or else they will cancel my bookings.

Useless company.... SCAMMERS!!
I paid £100 deposit and that was the end of it.... despite my phone calls( travel agent Albert Green: always away) and emails...no reply.

This company is a scam company.
The agent “Alex Smith” is a liar and a scammer. He lied to us about being able to book flights to our West African destination, he lied about the prices of tickets and about the timeframe for a payment plan. We kept asking him when can we make the final payments so we could receive our tickets but Alex Smith kept delaying us to the point that it got so close to our planned date of travel, then he told us that the price had increased and he couldn’t get tickets for the original price. He proceeded to tell us the airline increased the price. At this point we had paid well over £3,500. Alex said he would refund out money, however he only gave a partial refund and kept giving unreasonable excuses as to why he has not processed a full refund. It got to the point he started telling us that the company bank was not working due to “tax reasons”. At that point I knew he was full of crap and he had scammed us.
We messaged him daily for updates on our refund, he would simply ignore the messages or reply in capital letters that we should wait. I am going to report this company to the airline and to the fraud website. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK FLIGHTS WITH THIS COMPANY AND STAY AWAY FROM “ALEX SMITH” to save yourself money and disappointment!
