I've been using Tripper regularly for the past couple of years and have been loving it every time.

This trip was a disaster, in both directions. I arrived early in Bethesda at the stop, around 5 and got in the line. Shortly after, the guy (I remember him from other trips - usually very friendly but this time unbelievably cranky and rude) said that this line is for the 440 bus (mine was 540) and told me to get out of the line. He then spent the next 30 minutes screaming at someone on the phone and telling us that the 440 was late because the driver is Chinese and doesn't know what he's doing - real nice thing for any Chinese riders to hear! So anyway at about 6 ish the 440 bus pulled up and they let everyone on. From there on it was good - late, but fine.

On the return on Sunday, I actually arrived quite late to the bus after misplacing my phone and having to run back to my friends' to get it, I was there about 6:55. Line for the 7:00 bus was running down the sidewalk into the street (dangerous!). It was very cold and the guy told us the bus would be 20 minutes late. 7:20 came and went - although the bus did arrive shortly after (maybe 7:30). It was packed tight, and there were no on board outlets as Tripper PROMISES for its rides. On top of that legroom seemed to be less than normal - I recall usually being quite comfortable on Tripper, but not on this one. It was miserable inside. Long story short I popped a handful of sleeping pills and prayed for them to knock me out so it would be over.

Oh yeah - and why even bother with WiFi if it can't hold a solid connection and ion the rare occasion it does, gets you 1990's modem speeds?

Loved Tripper in the past but sad to say that may well have been my last ride with them.

Everything was great on my trip, with the exception of the bus needing a new accessory belt installed--it would squeal every few minutes for a little while which was super annoying. Otherwise great!

I just used Tripper for the first time this past weekend to go from NYC to Arlington.

I was very happy that the bus went to Arlington instead of downtown DC, it made the trip much smoother. My trip down Friday night was no problem, the trip back on Sunday was another story. The seats on the bus were much smaller - there was barely any leg room compared to the trip down. There were also no outlets on the bus which I can understand but that is one of Trippers advertised features so I hadn't been concerned about making sure my phone was fully charged before I got on the bus. The driver was also not great - there were some times he was riding the break and going much slower than other vehicles on the road.

I have used Tripper for years. It is the only service I trust. They are safe, friendly and punctual. If you go to NY regularly take advantage of this service - for every two r/t tickets you get a free one-way leg on your next trip. What's not to like?

My bus was delayed in arriving (which was fine/normal/happens) but the really strange thing was how the staff at the departure site handled it. He seemed really confused, overly stressed and did a very poor job at communicating with the people waiting. He gave instructions (different lines, different departure times) once every 10 mins and when newly arriving people got in the wrong line, he got angry with them. Very unprofessional.

All of the staff were wonderful and the bus itself was very clean and suitable.

The bus was on time wich is important, seats could be a little more confortable but are aceptable.

As the title suggests, my experience was very satisfactory. This was in part a function of the easy traffic but also from the efficient staff and the well oiled machinery of the on boarding procedure. My only problem was not being able to find the plug for charging my phone. The driver said where it was once but I had listened carefully!

Tripper bus is usually on time and the drivers are very friendly. However oftentimes they stop in Catonsville, MD to change drivers, which adds to the travel time and seems like it could be avoided since they already make a stop
in Bethesda. I would also prefer that they don't stop at Delaware House or another rest stop since they stop in Bethesda.

I like Tripper. Their buses are clean and they have wifi and electric plugs at each seat, the staff are friendly, and the prices are acceptable.

I Love tripper bus it gives good service they always treat me awesome & I Always Feel Safe Traveling to Virginia.

Tripper bus is an affordable and comfortable way of transportation to New York City. Free water is a nice touch for a long trip.

Always good service on this route. I have ridden only on Saturdays, so no delays.

This was the first time I used Tripper Bus and I have to say it is now my new favorite way to travel between NYC and Arlington, VA. Comfy seats, free wifi, electricity, competitive fares, and courteous competent drivers. What's not to like?!

This is my "go to" bus. They arrive on time, they are clean and they get me where I need to go safely and efficiently. If I had to say anything negative about the bus ride it would be that sometimes the outlets don't work and that the Wi-Fi is unreliable.

I booked three round trip tickets to New York City which left from Bethesda MD Sat at 7:30am. We noticed that our bus was a newer bus on our way up which was very nice. (We had traveled using Tripper in the past back in May and we were hoping that we would get the same driver that we had in the past because he was absolutely wonderful. Too bad I forgot his name :( unfort. he was not our driver at all during this trip) I searched for an outlet to charge my tablet but wasn't able to locate one. Tripper, I would suggest to put outlets in for us to be able to charge electrical devices. If there are outlets, I did NOT see a one at all! Also, I'd like to make a suggestion for Tripper to consider doing in the future. I noticed that each seat located on the Isle side was numbered. Why? I don't know. My suggestion is when one is making reservations for their bus tickets to set assigned seating for everyone. For example, during our trip this time we had three people so needless to say if there was assigned seating automatically then two of us would be seated together and the third person would be given another seat elsewhere. I would also like to add if any one is either travelling alone or being an odd number like we had then there should be an option where we can pay extra if we would like to book the seat next to us. I would have paid extra being that I was the third person in my group. I had to find a seat as we were getting aboard which I took a seat behind my group. Of course this isn't Trippers fault but because it was a full bus I got stuck having to take a window seat behind my party. I was forced to be next to a stranger who was not only extremely HUGE, he had me shuved up against the window for 4 hours nonstop. I being a 115 ld.young woman, it was absolutely the worse uncomfortable trip I have ever experienced. Needless to say, this man was also sick as a dog that day. Coughing and sneezing continuously up against my face was the worst part of it all. I ended up catching a head cold myself by day two of our trip with a running high fever. This by far caused me to ruin my entire trip. I will also note that both ways (there and back) we weren't given any water like we had on our last trip with Tripper by our driver. Also, I'm not sure if this is a mandatory thing but Id like to mention that on my previous trip (both there and on our way back) our driver stopped half way for 15 min for us to stretch our legs. This did not happen on this last trip at all. Finally, in NY for our 1:30pm bus to head back to Bethesda. As we arrived at the bus stop at about 12:45pm there was a brand new Tripper Bus just sitting there with a driver inside. Our group along with another group were the first ones to arrive. We had asked this driver if this was our bus hoping he may allow us to get on a bit early since it was pouring down rain and cold as you don't know that day. He would jump out and back on ignoring us as we were standing there orginally since we just assumed this was our bus waiting until 1:30 to depart. Finally that's when we asked him if this was our bus etc..All he would say is no its not. Ahh lol ok. Finally a lady got a bit disturbed by his lack of curiosity towards others and boy,was she ticked off. It was extremely rude of the driver. It's one of those situations where you just had to be to fully understand. Basically,it just showed lime he could have cared less that we were standing there assuming this was our bus and he didn't care to at least tell us that it wasn't meanwhile he sees us in pouring rain and cold as all hell. Finally she asked what going on and why is there another bus then? (He briefly said in passing) I'm here with this bus in case something happens to the 130 pm bus. What!?! Finally, another Tripper Bus showed up and believe it or not it was alot older of a bus compared to the one that had been sitting there. I just didn't care, all I wanted to do was get aboard out of the freezing cold wet rain. I went to use the bus bathroom once I was on and b I have to say it was so disgusting! Urine all over the lid, a pile of used tissues just thrown down, the hand sanitizer was empty, and mind you I was the first one to use this bathroom on our trip back. Also, I locked the door behind me as one would naturally do which also turns the light on to the bathroom. I'm in the middle of trying to do my business in this filthy urinal and the door comes flying open with a gentleman standing there. Oh my goodness! He was apologizeing saying he didn't realize anyone was inside. So I guess the locks don't work on the bathroom door! It was just a older,dirty,and a bus that had horrible WiFi signal. I tried logging on throughout my 4 hour trip back but it was impossible to even get a connection. I'm not one to give bad reviews and I am definitely not one that likes to complain. I mention this simply because you can sometimes get those types of people who love to complain about every tiny little thing. I am not that way at all as well as this is not to be taken that way at all I was asked to give an honest review and that is all I am doing. I probably will never use Tripper again unless I learn some things have changed. I work for a company that does alot of traveling now which I know many people that use these buses often. I will not recommended them here all because of this trips experience. Tripper, please consider the option I mentioned earlier in my review (that's even if you guys read these reviews to try and make any changes for the better for your passangers) that pertains to starting to do assigned seating when making reservations with you guys along with having an option to those who are traveling alone or as a fifth wheel to have an option to reserve the seat next to them! I will NEVER EVER want to go thru that again. Picture a small petite lady being forced to have a 300 plus man that takes up so much arm room that has the lady squished up against the window for 4 hours without any exaggeration. To top it off this person was constantly coughing,sneezing, and blowing his nose which caused me to get a high fever and a head cold which ruined my entire trip altogether. Again that's not Trippers fault but if I had the option to pay extra to have both seats then that wouldn't of happened.
