My husband and I have been traveling by Tripper Bus between Bethesda and NYC monthly or more often since 2010. We initially chose Tripper after reading a Washington Post review of multiple NY-DC buses. Honestly, WiFi isn't perfect, but the ride is safe, comfortable and an easy option. It is also an EXCELLENT value.

Excellent service

The bus was late in both directions. The wifi barely worked in one direction and not at all in the other. My footrest did not work.

Bus was 30 minutes late. We had to wait in the cold on a dark street for 30 minutes in NYC.

Other than that, it was fine

I have been taking Tripper buses regularly from Bethesda to NY for almost two years and have never had a bad experience. The buses are on time, convenient, and the people involved are very kind. I missed my return bus from NYC this week and they put me on the next bus two hours later without charging extra. I highly recommend Tripper.

The bus drivers were very nice. There was a lot of traffic going in and I was quite a bit late, but that's not the companies fault. It was very enjoyable. Would definitely travel this way again.

I recently took Tripperbus for the first time from Bethesda to NYC. The bus was comfortable, left within 10 minutes of the posted time, and receiving a bottle of water was a nice touch, as were power plugs on every seat. Wifi, however, was too slow to be any use.

My main complaints are due to delays. We stopped in the middle of the trip for about 20 minutes to change bus drivers. Why that took so long, I'm not sure. Then, we hit about an hour delay in traffic. All together, we got in 90 minutes later than planned. I get that Lincoln tunnel traffic is bad, but for a bus company that does this route all the time, they should at least put up reasonable estimates for when a bus is scheduled to arrive based on past trips. People make plans around that, and a 90 minute delay can impact those plans.

Professional, clean, courteous

Drivers are friendly and drive safely. They also give you a free cold bottle of water for your trip which is helpful. They also provide trashbags on the bus - its the little things that matter. Bathrooms are clean!

My husband and I just returned from a trip to NYC and back from Arlington, and we are both happy we chose Tripper. Would definitely use it again. The locations work for us, and the buses and bathrooms were very clean. The drivers were polite and professional and the schedules were on time. Couldn't ask for better. As an aside, we saw a competitor at their NYC location as we were walking around and it was a madhouse. Tripper was very calm and easy. Even the people on the buses were quiet so the trips were relaxing. I would compare it to the first class car on the train but cheaper and easier from Arlington.

The bus was clean with wifi and electricity which was much needed since the trip took over an hour longer then advertised. It's defiantly the most affordable way to travel but there is no way the bus can travel from Arlington to NY in 4.5 hours with the route they take.

Great bus service, rarely have issues, love ability to book online and change reservations without fees. One criticism, a few of the bus drivers have a tendency to slam/pulse the gas/brake pedals constantly and needlessly (even on open roads). It's probably just a bad habit, but it can make me nauseous and is generally unpleasant (can't imagine it's good for fuel efficiency either).

Did you happen to find a small red plastic round case with teeth guard inside? The drivers were great. Will ride and recommend Tripper again for sure!

That was a great ride to and from NY. I love the cleanliness in the bus and the courtesy of the drivers. Will take the bus again any time and I highly recommend it.

This was a great experience with my bus ride from Bethesda,MD to NYC. The bus was clean and the driver was courteous and prompt. No complaints...beats driving any day.

i am amazed of how things has definetly change. the buses are clean. and new, the drivers are professionals. they great you very nicely,
and the announcements are clear and detailed.

The trip from Arlington to NYC went as expected. The seats are a bit tight in terms of trying to work on a laptop, but other than that, no complaints.
