Following this post, Sky immediately contacted me and resolved the problem.

I have been satisfied with your services for the last few years. However, I have tried getting in touch by mail and by telephone to no avail. My access has been limited and I don t know why.
Perhaps this review will prompt an answer

Used to be really helpful, but support has deteriorated badly over the last year. We had a working box but were asked to replace it with one with much worse Wi-Fi range on the premise that it was much better. This soon failed after a bad auto-update, and that's where several months of waiting for several weeks between responses trying to get it sorted out. After many months, and spending half a day trying to troubleshoot with an engineer, we were sent a new box. Then asked to send the old one back. To another country. Paying postage ourselves up front. We said No, you will have to arrange it to be picked up. We had problems twice before and had replacement boxes sent with no quibble and no requests to send the old ones back. Why the sudden change in service levels? Anyway, we kept saying no, you need to arrange to have it collected over and over. The final email we received today reads as follows:

We want you out and refuse to provide service to you for only one more day.

Your account with us is cancelled and the service has been cut off today.
Go talk like this to someone else. Do not bother replying. We want nothing to do with you or the likes of you.
Keep the faulty unit and the other one.

We can take the financial loss better than having to deal with arrogant, disrespectful, pretentious people like yourselves for one more day.
If possible, I would literally boot you out the door.

Great communication the box arrived super quickly and the card did too. Great bunch of people who can do so much for you I would highly reccomend them to anyone. The card was activated quickly too so all is good.

I don’t normally do reviews but I’m making an exception as I thought UK Satellite TVs service was great! Very easy ordering process, quick dispatch, very clear and well presented instructions, easy and clear activation page and very quick activation. All very impressive so I’d definitely recommend them!

The viewing card arrived within 3 days and the internet set-up procedure was straightforward. A telephone hotline is now available and very quickly resolved a minor problem that I had (a mistake on my part when filling in the activation form). Strongly recommended!

I am very satisfied about the handling of my subscription. They did it very good and I want to say thank you to UK Satellite TV.

The support has always been really good and helpful.

Marc could not have been more helpful in the setting up of the VPN connection. He even responded to emails on a Sunday. Hence the 5 star rating.
On the other hand, I find the content of the Sky packages of very poor quality and extremely expensive. I had hoped that VPN would give me BBC iPlayer but I have been disappointed.

Service

Delivery was really quick and the service was very friendly. Very pleased with them so far.

I ordered now tv in April for viewing British programming while living here in Germany. The ordering Process was pretty easy and the advice from uk satellite was pretty good about telling me what I needed so the advice was good. The only down side is that there is no number for getting advice you have to email. They are good at responding though.

UK Satellite have worked with me to resolve the issue which I appreciate. There were some communication difficulties at the outset with some messages apperaing to get lost, leading to mutual frustration.

Given the backdrop of the challenge that the coronavirus pandemic has posed to us all, I am grateful to them for the efforts thay have made to bring this matter to a satisfactory outcome.
