I knew nothing about Up Norway when I ended up booking with them - it was the best decision I ever made! They made our trip an amazing success and their trip plan on my cell phone was extremely efficient with every detail perfectly noted along with full details on what to experience in each city we visited. They asked what we wanted from our holiday and delivered on every front!

We used Up Norway to help plan a special trip to Norway for our 10 year anniversary, to spend time in the Lofoten Islands. The trip was spectacular and their communication was wonderful. Every piece from travel documentation to the app was well thought through and made our trip stress-free. Would absolutely use them again in heartbeat if were to go back!

We collaborated with Up Norway to create a month long trip to (mostly) northern Norway focused on the northern lights. In a nutshell, it was spectacular. Beauty during the days and nights with no worries about logistics. Their hotel/lodge/apartment picks were excellent, their support was always timely, and the activities they suggested were fun and informative. As a group of five, we particularly appreciated that they found places to stay where the singleton in our group was not hit with heavy single supplement fees.

This was the second trip we've done with them, and it was another home run. Thanks Up Norway!

I cannot imagine a better trip than what was given to us from Up Norway. Katharina and Katja responded to all of our needs and never complained about this picky American and his idiosyncrasies. From start to finish, the trip was perfect. When there might have been a glitch, they were readily available to help. I would be so happy to use them again!!!!!

We never have done a curated trip. We’ve always planned our travels on our own. Up Norway worked with us to understand what we were interested in and also provided input on what they thought we would enjoy. They were right on all counts. Our itinerary gave us lots of opportunity to experience Norway’s beauty up close and slowly. The destinations and stays were with hosts that really invited us in and made us feel welcome. We felt we made life long friendships. The silence and beauty of Norway can only be experienced. Travel books can’t capture it. Up Norway put together a perfect trip for us.

I've never done custom trip planning before, usually do it myself or accept a standard plan. The planning experience with Up Norway was delightful. They asked good questions and came back with ideas that fit together well to provide a varied and satisfying combination. They were flexible in making requested changes and helped us stay on budget without lessening our experience. They gave us pre-trip suggestions to get us ready for the itinerary. Their trip plan app gave us all the information we needed to self-guide from place to place. They checked in along the way to help if needed. Staff coordination and coverage was excellent.

Up Norway created a fantastic itinerary for us, exactly what we asked for, travelling for 2 weeks to Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger and many stops in-between, on trains, ferries and a hire car. We stayed in wonderful hotels, and enjoyed great experiences in each place. The trip was perfectly organised, we found their app really easy to use, and it contained a wealth of information. The team were always very responsive too. We definitely recommend Up Norway for a special holiday, tailored to exactly what you want to do and see in Norway.

Up Norway created a 4 week tour starting in Oslo. We travelled by train, overnight ferry, bus and plane up the west coast to Lofoten. Accommodations were stunning. Good balance of activity and relaxing. The app had many details and we referred to it often. Norway is not for budget travelling.

The journey was very good organized, good communication, good advices. Up Norway is very professional on every aspect. Thank you!!! the experience was incredible.

My partner and I have done a few travels to different parts of the world. We have had a mix of relying on travel curators and planning it ourselves. The reason we prefer planning it ourselves is that we do not want to be clubbed into a group with instructions on what to do and what not to do, we much rather explore a place on our own and find out about it even if that means missing out on "Instagram worthy things".
SO we had that in the back of our mind when we first contacted UpNorway. But from the point of first contact, they have been professional and helpful without being in your face.
Planning an itinerary, tweaking it to our preferences, accepting our randomness, making sure all details were there in the app (did I mention how useful that app was at every point of time with links to directions etc.) and then finally during the trip being there for help through chat even for last minute questions. It was a pleasure to work with such professional team.

Up Norway is a very professional travel agency which I worked with, they are very knowledgeable and I like how comprehensive their travel guide is. It was my first nordic trip and I am glad I used Up Norway which gave me a peace of mind travelling to an unknown place.

My wife and I have relied on travel companies in the past for some of our travel and generally we've had very good service. But Up Norway really stands out as the most well-polished, professional company we have dealt with. Whether it was the initial trip planning by their detail-oriented and knowledgeable team, arranging great accommodations and transportation, working out final details, executing the trip, assisting with any issues that might have arisen (very few and weather-related), or assisting with any post-trip details, Up Norway was always there and we were very comfortable in knowing someone was always available for assistance if required. In addition, the App they provided for our phones with all of the trip logistics was over the top, providing easy navigation, superb details for each location, and one-stop administrative details (such as all required tickets) for the trip.

This attention to detail and professionalism allowed us to focus on enjoying a wonderful 20-day trip in the beautiful country of Norway. We plan to return and would not hesitate to use Up Norway again. Very highly recommended!

I worked with UpNorway on behalf of 7 friends and had an enjoyable time helping plan what turned out to be a fabulous three week trip. The UpNorway Team was outstanding in listening, suggesting and coordinating a jillion logistical details. My wife and I have been fortunate to have traveled a lot and UpNorway is the Best of the Best!

A trip to Norway has been a long-held dream, so I started planning. After much research, I realised that we wouldn't make the most of our holiday without some professional help, and contacted Up Norway. From the first discussion, it was apparent that this was a company we felt comfortable doing business with.

The trip planning process was very thorough, with the consultants working hard to understand our want and needs, and (most important) our budget. There were several long delays at our end (sickness etc), but when we were ready to restart the process, so were Up Norway.

Once the plans were locked in, we received a detailed itinerary showing where we would be on every day, where we would stay, and how we would get there. This information was replicated in the app, together with hotel vouchers, travel tickets, background information and suggested activities.

The app also allowed us to communicate directly in the event anything went wrong (nothing did). Our consultant Torstein used the chat function to check up on us several times to ensure everything was going OK (it was).

Compared with other trips we planned ourselves, this experience was very positive. Every detail was considered in advance, all the hotels were expecting us, and all the transport (bus, train, ferry and airline) integrated seamlessly.

There is no doubt a premium paid to have somebody arrange your whole trip for you, but it was worth every cent. We highly recommend Up Norway.

I chose UpNorway after browsing through several Scandinavian travel agencies late one night in May 2023 because I knew I wanted to see the northern lights in January for my birthday. A previously bad experience with an Icelandic travel agency made me cautious trying again, but from the beginning UpNorway was nothing but communicative, responsive, and enthusiastic about creating a tailor made itinerary for my birthday trip. Everything was handled seamlessly and the app with our detailed itinerary (that was available both on and offline) was invaluable. The weather was unfortunately uncooperative during our trip and the UpNorway team was there every step of the way helping us navigate the cancellation of excursions and rescheduling of domestic flights (all due to bad weather). I have never had such an amazing experience with a travel agency and I recommend them wholeheartedly. So much so that I’m going to utilize them again for a second trip to Norway later this year to try to see the northern lights again. Pauline, Mari, Karin, Torstein and the rest of the team were absolutely phenomenal and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

What an amazing company. Up Norway were amazing from start to finish. They created an amazing holiday which was one of our family's all time favourite trips. They were flexible throughout the process, found is an among place to stay, and amazing adventures to go on. The team were always on hand to answer questions or solve any issues. The whole holiday really felt like it was getting to know the best of Norway in a way that was away from the crowds and the usual places to visit. Normally I don't use an agency to travel because it doesn't always work well, but with up Norway everything was perfect, from the planning, the customer service, the offer of plans and above all, the good energy on the part of all the staff makes this agency without a doubt the best I've ever used.
