Trude and Up Norway created a trip of a lifetime for us. Every detail of our trip was flawless. We enjoyed touring Oslo and the fjords. Trude arranged our activities (from biking to kayaking to hiking), the hotels were stayed in, and the transportation. We were provided with a very useful electronic itinerary that described each day of our trip. We especially enjoyed the hotels in the mountains. Up Norway is top notch and provides extraordinary service. We will definitely use Up Norway for our next trip to Norway.

It was my first time in Norway and I was not sure where to begin. Up Norway came up with a personalized itinerary for me and my family choosing hotels and hikes off the beaten track. After too many weekends downtown Oslo, I emailed Torunn asking for ideas on where to find a weekend hideout close to nature. I would be dependent on public transport. One hour later she had organized a complete two-day trip to the newly opened Skåbu Fjellhotel, including train transportation, pick-up at Vinstra, dinner and accommodation. The price was good, I don’t think I could have saved much organizing it myself. And, I saved a lot of time booking! I just had to meet up at Oslo Central Station, the rest was taken care of. I had never hear about Skåbu Fjellhotel, but it turned out to be a hidde gem with amazing food and superb hosts. Although I love researching for my holidays, I will not hesitate to let Torunn and UpNorway organize my next trip given the knowledge they have about exiting places and people to visit.

Btw - when the hotel owner picked us up at Vinstra, he mentioned the paper Finansavisen that very same day had run a 5-page article on the little known hotel, including the front page. They immediately received 60 bookings just that day!

Up Norway was fantastic! We had an amazing trip and saw many things away from the main tourist areas that we would not have known about. Agneta was wonderful during the planning -- always responsive and took the time to understand what was important to us. The accommodations and food were all top-notch. We could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend Up Norway!

Just great, this was so much easier than planning everything myself! Competitive prices, nice staff, would recommend.

I travelled to Lofoten 17th - 20th of March, organized and guided by Up Norway, day one was well organized with visit to Lofoten Gårdsysteri where we had lunch (nice cheese) and played with goats. We stayed a Villa Lofoten with Aaslaug the host, where had very nice local food, we visited Lofotr for a guided tour and a play with traditional food. Mon we had a guided trip to Hollandmælen with guides from Hattvika Lodge,. Tue I climbed Skottinden with Ronald from Hattvika Lodge. Great guy and experienced guide. That was a fantastic experience, even though the weather changed I felt safe and secure. Best trip every. Well organized and put together by Up Norway. Highly recommended.

We are happy with the hotel choices - they are stylish and comfly. We are lucky enough to be able to see aurora and even meteor rain on the second night, though not lucky enough to see whales on the first. We did not expect to share a tent with other travellers on the second night and so we spent the night sleeping at the restaurant instead, which was not a very pleasant experience I must say. We hope the agency could provide more detailed info about the tours, such as whether warm clothing will be provided, whether any meal will be served, whether we will be sharing a tent with others, so that we could be more well prepared. Overrall, we had an enjoyable trip.

Absolutely loved working together with Upnorway to figure out a route for my trip to Norway in October! It is not an easy time of year to visit, but Torunn was very knowledgeable and ensured I got the best experience possible! Loved all the suggestions and even when I was already in Norway extra help was given figuring out ferry’s and various other things. Will visit again soon! Hopefully for a much longer time! We feel so lucky that we found UpNorway and Torunn. She was so informative and helpful from the very start. We knew we wanted to see a few areas of Norway, as well as visit the place my husband's family came from. She arranged a stellar trip for us (Oslo, the mountains, the fjords, the coast). We feel as if we've been shown the country from the inside, and without having to be among throngs of tourists. The hotels and locations were beautiful and unique, and her expertise was invaluable to us while on the trip. This is the way to travel, and we look forward to returning to Norway and seeing more!

We had Up Norway to assist in planning our Norway trip. It has been a fabulous road trip, each day was filled with exciting activities and experiences. Breathtaking scenery with changing landscape, horse riding on a beautiful mountain, we stayed at lovely farm converted boutique hotels with sumptuous dinner and breakfast. My family simply adore Norway and would love to come back again!

10 days filled with beautiful scenic road trips, historic and other outstanding hotels.. and let's not forget all the amazing food we have had the pleasure of eating! Local food, local beverages - Norway has a lot to offer.
Every day, waking up in new surroundings & meeting so many nice people along the way. Small personal touches, that made us both walk around with big smiles. What's not to love?
Whenever we had any questions, we texted Up Norway via the app, and they always responded very quickly.
We will definitely book many more trips with Up Norway and will highly recommend this for anyone who loves traveling! We loved it!

Up Norway was super helpful! Thanks to them, I had the best time in Norway. I was able to sync up with a great group of like-minded travelers. We hiked Trolltunga, Kjerag, Priekestolen, and more, avoiding the touristy parts of Norway the entire way. They listened to what I wanted to do, and helped me plan it out. Can't wait to go back to Norway!

As we are having this year´s summer holidays in Oslo, we decided to test the new concept, ”A Taste of Local Secrets” from Up Norway. We opted for the 24-hour alternative. Within short we got our itinerary through the very helpful app including all the necessary details for our trip. Day one started with a visit to beautiful Grøndalen Gård via the scenic route through the summery green outskirts of Oslo. Upon arrival at Grøndalen we were greeted by our lovely hosts Hans Arild and Anne. They could inform us that the farm has been in the family since the 1600s. We got to take part in the afternoon milking of the cows (including the optional tasting ) and feeding of the calves. Hans Arild and Anne are an endless source of information on history and local sustainable farming, for example all the calves get to spend their first months together with their mother – happy cows and great milk. We got the tour of the farms “cheese factory” where they create their local cheese Nyr before we ended our stay with a light meal getting to taste different versions of Nyr paired with homemade jam and bread. A truly great and unique experience.

We ended our first day with a delicious 4-course dinner at Bar Brutus, a really cool restaurant right in our own backyard in Gamlebyen (old Oslo). The staff was really friendly and helpful, the organic wine tasteful and the food really delicious. The icing on the cake was the dessert made from milk from Grøndalen Gård with a sauce made from Nyr.

The second day we spent at beautiful Håøya, a one hour boat-ride through the fjord from Oslo harbor. This is a beautiful place with lots of history and stunning nature. We started with lunch at Håøya Naturverksted, a truly amazing place where they make their own goat cheese without any electricity on the island!!! The goats are hand-milked every morning, and the rest of the day they run freely around the island. The bread is baked every day in a wood burning stove. The lunch was really tasteful, we got to try three different goat cheeses and it is really impressive how they manage to make such great food out there. Our host Helge was really friendly and full of local knowledge, and he also helped us plan our 2,5 hour long walk across the island. The scenery on the walk was beautiful, we got to see the remnants of the old fortress and we are pretty sure we saw one of the eagles who have taken residence in the habitat on the island. The walk ended on the southeastern side of the island where we were picked up by the local ferry and taken to Drøbak. There we took a cooling swim overlooking the beautiful fortress of Oscarsborg before riding the bus back to Oslo.

We had 24 amazing hours guided by Up Norway with useful and timely support along the way, exceptionally great service and high quality unique local experiences. We will definitely use Up Norway again for future adventures both around Oslo and throughout the rest of Norway.

We simply received a link and could with an app follow every part of our vacation. We could not have experienced Norway better from the inside. This must be the future of traveling.
