Upper Street Handyman review…
We always use Upper Street Handyman as they are reliable, clean and do the job well.
Our back downpipe was relaced and then they came back to fix the gutter.
However this was delayed twice due to the weather.
Eventually it was done well although they arrived after the 1 hour time slot. I do think they are expensive though!

Very poor communication…
I wanted a plumbing job completed quickly and was prepared to pay more than market price for speedy completion. While the very significant delays were not all their fault there was very poor communication throughout. Times of appointments were repeatedly changed or not kept.

We would like to point out that you had your booking on 27th October in the morning, we informed you that the time would change to the afternoon for the same day, on the 19th October, 8 days before your booking, we believe this to be good communication. On the day, the plumber was delayed due to his previous job taking longer than anticipated but we informed you about this within the time slot of arrival, and we still attended to complete the work the same day. We did not compromise on the quality of our work, despite you not being satisfied with the office teams communication. We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused

Excellent work, fair price, outstanding communications.
I have used a lot of building firms over the years in different UK locations, for business and private work. and for large and small jobs. Some have been very good but, even with the best, communication has often been an issue. Not so with Upper Street Handyman Ltd. who must also be the easiest and most efficient communicators I have ever encountered in the building trade, with the help of the excellent Parez and her office colleagues and with the experienced professional oversight of Eli. The firm has recently completed an extensive refit of an Islington flat for me, including the installation of a new central heating system and new internal wall insulation, followed by roofing work to deal with occasional water ingress and the emergency remediation of a sudden leak. It was all very well done, to an exceptional standard, at a fair price. I was given trustworthy advice throughout. The business is a bigger enterprise than the name implies, with a workforce that includes a wide range of skilled trades. All of the workmen I met were friendly, courteous and careful to protect the communal parts of the building. This is a very well run business that deserves to do well.

Upper Street Handyman provide a high-quality service. We hired them to remove wallpaper from our new flat and then prepare the walls for painting. They were responsive and helpful in providing a quote and have done an excellent job. They clearly take pride in their work! The whole team was extremely friendly and respectful. Even minor details that you worry about, like moving furniture around, was done with care and diligence. Will be using for future work!

Excellent plumbing handyman
Quick, efficient handyman help with two minor plumbing issues I had in my apartment. The plumber was prompt, polite and able to easily identify the problem and source the parts to fix. He had to return to fix the second of the two issues but I was able to schedule this easily within a day or two. Only downside was the cost but I think you pay a small premium for the speed and convenience. Have used before and would use again.

Replacing kitchen under cupboard lighting
Our kitchen lighting needed to be replaced and the old lights no longer available. Upper Street Handyman replaced the under unit light panels with new panels and new LED strip lights. I'm very pleased - everyone came on time, no fuss and new lighting looks great.
