I really like our instructor
I really like our instructor Khaled. He is very personable and approachable. His classes feel like a friend is helping you learn which I feel makes myself and my classmates more open to speaking up and participating. The team is very supportive in your experience- I have had to pause a bit due to surgery and unexpected complications, and Maxwell Lions has been very understanding and supportive!

The instructor is very knowledgeable and is a good fit personality wise for understanding the audience and the variety of technical skills and knowledge in the cohort. I only wish we didn't spend as much time on excel skills and would've liked to utilize more of the course weeks on more technical skills like SQL and Python.

Flexible, caring, and in depth education
Upright education has been one of the best experiences I’ve had for online education. Not only do they have an extensive portal that has easy to follow material, but it all comes together with the instructor in class. I truly appreciate all of the material from videos to downloadable content. Their teacher assistances are amazing and always available for a surplus of office hours or even outside of office hours to help with assignments and wrapping up understanding together.
I actually started the program while pregnant and ended up having some issues during pregnancy and postpartum. Upright education has been nothing but understanding and willing to work with me through all of this so that I can complete my certificate. I definitely will be coming back for any future educational needs.

Re-Inventing Myself
I was a stay-at-home mom for many years. After my youngest went off to college, I decided to re-enter the workforce. After months of inquiry, I realized that my technical skills were outdated. It was imperative that I update my educational and technical skills through a reputable institution. After several on-line searches, I discovered Upright Education. Once I got started in the Data Analytics course, I felt a bit of intimidation. I wasn't sure if I had the ability to participate in this course because I have been out of college for over twenty years. The instructors and support staff made the experience seamless. They are knowledgeable, supportive and patient. With this type of environment, re-entering the educational field felt more approachable.

Amazing instructor!
The instructor is wonderful. He's patient, explains concepts thoroughly, shares information and insights when he can. My only complaint is that assignments are located in different places within Canvas, which can be confusing.

Cybersecurity Cohort
Course moves at a good pace teaching everything you need to know to break into the field and gives students the tools they need to succeed outside the scope of the course such as hands-on labs/simulations and access to interview prep.

I had an amazing instructor and TA
I had an amazing instructor and TA. I didn't know anything about computers until I started this class as I worked in the Medical field but I learned so much from John and Zach. Im not gonna say I didn't feel overwhelmed and wanted to quit a few time because I didn't think I was smart enough to do this, but they constantly encouraged me to push forward and I am glad I did. I learned so much in this class and I am so proud of myself for sticking with it. It made me realize when I step out of my box I can accomplish anything. The first part of the class was foreign to me but I was retaining a lot more than I realized. If you feel frustrated just stick in there because it does start to make sens.

The instructor clearly has a deep well…
The instructor clearly has a deep well of knowledge, and the materials (exercises and documented resources) are valuable. My main challenge has been pacing: there often isn’t enough time to process the content and ask questions before we move on. By the end of some segments, I’m still absorbing the new concepts and struggling to formulate questions in the moment. Building in a bit more space for Q&A and reflection would help the class engage more confidently with the material.
Suggestions:
* Add mini “pause points” every 15–20 minutes for 2–3 questions.
* Offer a brief office-hours block or “parking lot” for unanswered questions.
* Share a short pre-read or “prompt pack” beforehand to reduce cognitive load during lecture.
* Provide timestamps or section markers in recordings to review complex parts quickly.

The instructor is very patient and likes to talk through the realities of what we will encounter in a job interview and what might not be as important to perfect or memorize. Also, the homework is challenging but so far I can spend a couple hours over a couple days and work through it.

The online classes and instructors were…
The online classes and instructors were fantastic and the lessons were great. As many of the students shared on our final day, I think the actual instructions for the homework assignments and projects could’ve been more clear and precise in what the intentions were, although it wasn’t incredibly hard to decipher. Overall it was an incredible experience.

My experience
My experience with my instructor and the staff has been nothing short of amazing. During my cohort, I faced some heavy personal challenges that caused me to fall behind, but the staff immediately stepped in with support and helped me create a plan to get back on track. Chris, my cohort’s instructor, explains the material clearly, is flexible, and shows real understanding for each student’s earning styles. The staff also checked in with me regularly, and it’s clear they genuinely care about our success.

The Instructor and Teaching Assistant were AMAZING. They taught us using real world examples and projects. I was able to master all the applications that I learned during the Bootcamp.
