I recently placed an order with Uptownie worth ₹11,000 and wanted to return a few items I didn’t like. The items were unworn, unwashed, and I initiated the return request the same day they were delivered.
To my shock, their customer service informed me that they do not offer refunds — only store credits, regardless of product condition or timing.
This is frustrating and unfair. Even major Indian and international brands offer full refunds if the customer is unsatisfied. What makes Uptownie so different that they feel justified in locking customer money in their store, especially when the return is initiated within hours?
If I don’t want to shop with them again, why should I be forced to?
I will definitely be sharing my experience on all platforms.
Be careful before ordering from them — read the return policy, and know that you won’t get your money back.

Bad experience
I made an order and it's more than 15 days my order is still in process. The delivery date mentioned is within 7days and it's more than 15 days now. Nor they are confirming any tentative date. Also, payment is already made in advance as there is no cod option.

The above is the response being received from them for the Nth number of time. They aren't ready to cancel the order and refund the money either. Please do not make a fool out of yourself. I clearly lost 2000 Rs. And also my time.

I purchased two items initially. Then returned two items bcz it didn’t fit me well. They gave me credit points. I again purchased three items out of which two were bought using credit points. One of them now is not fitting me so I asked for return and they are saying that they don’t accept any returns on items bought using credit points. What kind of rule is that and nowhere they mentioned this. It’s a stupid site and total waste of money. Stuff is also not good.
Wrong delivery timeline. Not yet shipped fake reasons
Order delivery time shows 4-5 days. Ready to ship. But it’s been two week they have not even processed the order, they keep sending me order delayed messages which I think are auto generated, on checking order status it shows not yet processed and when I select cancel order it says that my order has already been shipped so can’t be canceled. On further enquiry they said they are in process of shifting the warehouse so there is delay. Then next time in a few hours they said too many orders have come in so there is a delay. Clearly fake reasons and the company seems completely fraudulent. Even now the piece I have ordered on the website shows ready to ship and one day shipping . So clearly it’s a scam. As if they are short on stock they should update it as sold out or Pre order.!

Placed an order for two shirts on 17 June 2025. As per website details shipping was to happen in 2-3 business days. No such thing happened and they constantly keep sending messages apologizing for the delay as they have received too many orders and no date for shipping. Comments posted on their FB page are judiciously deleted so that they can lure people to place orders. Most Pathetic service. Most definitely avoidable. I am sure I have lost the money.

I had ordered a top from the online…
I had ordered a top from the online portal Uptownie in size L. While the quality of the product was decent, the fitting was not appropriate. So, I opted to exchange it for a different design in a larger size (XL), thinking it would resolve the fit issue.
To my surprise, the XL size didn’t fit either — in fact, it was worse. While I could at least wear the size L, the XL top didn’t even go down past the chest area. This seems to be a flaw in the product’s design or sizing chart.
For reference, I usually wear size M or L in brands like H&M and Vero Moda, so Uptownie’s sizing appears to be highly inaccurate. Unfortunately, they only allow a one-time exchange and don’t offer refunds. I emailed them explaining the situation — that the product is of no use to me now — and requested another exchange, not a refund. They refused.
As a result, I’m left with a top that I cannot wear at all. It’s incredibly disappointing, and practices like these are why companies like Uptownie struggle to gain loyal customers. In my opinion, their policies are rigid and unfair, and the experience feels borderline deceptive.

Scammers!! Worst people will block you when you keep pinging with queries and you will never receive product you order. Scamming everyone since God know when, before order search uptownie over linkedin to know truth. Ordered product on 7 may and still nothing received.

Really unprofessional and useless return policy , the shorts which they show in best fabric , came as bad old see through fabric. they took longest time to pick and then they gave credit , when I used credit to buy a new item which came one size big, they refused to exchange it to small size , what kind of policy is this even big brand like Myntra , Nykaa , Amazon don't do this, NEVER buy anything from uptownie

Very disappointing experience with Uptownie.
I placed a return request for a dress on 25th May because the fit was poor. It’s now been over two weeks, and my return still hasn’t been picked up. I was told there’s “no courier service available” between my location and their warehouse. which honestly sounds like an excuse rather than a real issue.
They haven’t provided any solution, refund, or proper communication. Just delays and silence. If they can’t even manage a basic return, how can anyone trust them for quality service?
Extremely unprofessional. Will never shop from Uptownie again and do not recommend them to others.

Extremely disappointing service. I regret purchasing from here. Had I gone through the reviews beforehand, I could’ve saved my money. Experiences like this make it hard to trust even the genuine brands and online platforms out there. Shame on you Uptownie owners. Fake fake fake!!!
They are cheaters
They are cheaters. Never answer on customer care number. And if the goods are not shipped you ask them to cancel it they will say they cant. Their return policy gives you store credits which is fine if goods are shipped or delivered. But if the customer needs it urgently and want to talk to them they do not talk on calls and after 3 days they reply saying sorry they cant help. They give you store credits which later is of no use because the occasion for which the clothes are needed has gone. I bought products worth 4900 and they cheated by not shipping it ( they said its delayed ) and when I messaged them to cancel it in that case as It wont be of any use to me later they denied cancellation ( inspite of products not being shipped ).
Please be careful before you order from them.

Very bad customer service. Ordered two dresses from their website and the quality of the dresses were so bad. Not like as tat of picture they show. I placed the return on (1st june) and till today there has been no proper response. Very bad team. Completely disappointed.
