Phoned today for a quote…most un professional 10 or 15 mins I have experienced while trying to book ever !
I know people are working from home because of covid and this was the case today. I could not hear what the travel agent was saying at times because his children were louder than him..it was so off putting!..he couldn’t concentrate on the job either or just wasn’t good at what he was doing..not sure..he was then saying his system wasn’t working right and it just ended up a mess..I ended up cutting the phone call short.
Sorry but Value Added Travel need to make sure their staff are still delivering a professional service (even when working from home) and that didn’t happen today…..Just lost a potentional customer …

This company is brilliant at booking holidays however when you have to cancel due to country being red because of covid they took 6 months to refund!!! Disgusting!! I will probably never book with them again, terrible customer service experience!!

Thank you for leaving a review. Having checked our records, we can see that you were provided a full refund a few days this review was posted. The reason why refunds took so long was due to the Covid situation at the time. All of our suppliers took up to a year to refund us and as per clause 26 in our Terms and Conditions:
'26. Your Arrangement With Us
By proceeding with your booking, you are accepting that the terms of this Agreement and conditions of any contract made with any suppliers (e.g. hotels) apply to your booking and your travel arrangements.'
This means that we were only able to refund you once we received a refund from our suppliers. We trust that this matter has been resolved and we look forward to any future bookings that you make with us. Thank you for using Value Added Travel.

Completely disgusted watch out if you…
Complete disgusted watch out if you have a credit note.
Chose to take a credit for note for the deposit (wouldn't refund to bank/original payment option) as we didn't feel comfortable travelling abroad this year and at the time it was on the red list.
Constantly tried to rebook for May next year but told need to wait for flights to be release in late June/July, yet a friend who inquired in May to travel with us for exactly same dates/party size next year was given a quote.
After numerous emails I eventually got a quote middle July £3k more than my friend was quoted in May.

Each company has it's own separate policy and we can confirm that flight timings and prices normally only get released a year in advance, hence why you were told to wait at the time until they were released. Having checked our records, we found that we managed to rebook you for a holiday last May for a reasonable price. Any increases were due to our suppliers increasing their prices in the post-Covid period. We hope that this matter has now been resolved.

Very helpful & knowledgeable staff
I have used Value Added Travel several times in the past few years and had nothing but excellent service from their agents who are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Brilliant for the family
Flew from Heathrow to Dubai with the family to the Atlantis. Brilliant trip, the kids had a marvellous time. The help I got with VAT when trying to sort out rooms for us all was amazing. Looking forward to booking our 3rd trip with them soon

Holiday To Dubai
I have been using Luxury Holidays/Value Added Travel for a few years now and always get good service and best prices.
Booked a last minute deal to Dubai with some friends of ours last year and we were all a bit worried travelling during a pandemic but we really enjoyed it.
The hotel was not crowded so we did not feel unsafe at any point and were actually able to go to Dubai Mall and eat in restaurants without much restrictions so it was a nice change from here and felt relaxing. We even ended up staying an extra few nights as we were having such a good time.

Really good company to book with
I understand that we leave in hard times for everyone at the moment because of the pandemic and I don't know about others but my experience so far with Luxury Holidays has been great. I've booked my honeymoon last year to go in June 2021 to Mauritius but because I had to postpone my wedding to 2022, I had to change my dates for my honeymoon too for 2022 :(( . So I called and managed to speak with a guy called Sol who managed to find me a better deal than the one booked last year so I can say that I was lucky he he. He sounded so professional and helpful. I am not giving 5 stars only because I am waiting to see how my honeymoon in Mauritius will be (fingers crossed it will happen in 2022) and if everything will be as planned I will come back to give them 5 stars :D. Thank you for now
