Wish I had gone to vashi sooner!

I spent months trying to find a great place to buy an engagement ring. I wish I had just gone to vashi sooner! Everything was great especially Daniel at the Covent Garden store who took very good care of us and ensured answering all our questions no matter how long it took! If you are looking for a ring - definitely visit the Covent Garden store and ask for Daniel!

Also want to highlight that the rings are also very reasonably priced compared to the competition

From the moment we entered the shop

From the moment we entered the shop, the staff at Vashi made us feel at home. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. My children enjoyed learning about how the jewellery is designed and made and we all had so many questions that the staff were more than happy to answer. Thank you for a great afternoon, we’d love to come back!

Great experience

We had an excellent experience at Vashi Covent Garden. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and taken down stairs and offered drinks while we shop. We had children with us and they were entertained with designing and seeing how everything works.
Staff were excellent and very knowledgable. It was great to see and speak to the different designers and makers during our visit.
Would thoroughly recommend

I visited the store yesterday with my…

I visited the store yesterday with my niece and cannot praise the shop and staff enough. My niece was able to design and look at jewellery and how it is made. The experience was great and she came away saying “I want to work there”. The staff were brilliant with myself and helped answer any questions I had.

Where do I start? Please read, it may help you.

Where do I start? Please take the time to read my review, it could save a lot of heartache and money.

Please don’t be fooled by the premises that Vashi have, do your research thoroughly before even considering to use them.

My son started the process to purchase a bespoke engagement ring in early April 2022.
The original production time was 4 weeks. We were shown some unset diamonds and lots of settings on our first visit.
After some thought, he chose a diamond from Vashi which they would get in, and paid a deposit, having decided to go down the bespoke route. We had a zoom call in the Canary Wharf shop, with the salesperson present and two members of the design team. Everything was discussed, sadly they didn’t yet have the diamond for us to view but the design team would send 3 designs through within the next two weeks. The production time had gone up and they couldn’t promise the ring would be made by the date it was needed. A placeholder ring was offered if necessary.
After that time we had another zoom call with the same staff members but done from home. Only two designs were offered but my son chose one that he liked. As it was a more simple design than originally thought they hope it could be completed in time. ( needed by 31/8 ). A further deposit was paid and everything was going ahead.
Approximately 4 weeks before it was needed my son got an email to say everything was on track. A couple of days later, on a Friday, he received an email from the finance company saying the finance had been cancelled.
Vashi was closed so he rang the finance company to be told Vashi had cancelled it!!
On the following Monday he rang Vashi and was assured they had not cancelled it but it would be looked into.
Then all hell broke loose, he was told by Vashi, the ring could not be made, they couldn’t get the diamond or the platinum and he could either wait or go elsewhere. This left him 3.5 weeks….
They couldn’t give him a timeframe and of course the finance had been cancelled by someone at Vashi.

Albeit late, we did some serious research on the company, which is readily available online. It was at this point we decided to cancel the order and ask for a refund to be able to go elsewhere.

Out of interest I contacted a jeweller at Hatton Garden, showed him the Vashi certification of the stone we had tried to purchase and was told it was highly unlikely that Vashi could supply a stone of that quality for the money we were paying.

When we asked to cancel the order the salesperson did liase with higher management who then offered to complete the ring on time. My concern? Where did they suddenly get the diamond and platinum from? Would we get what we were paying for?
As stated we went ahead with the cancellation as our faith in Vashi had gone.
We had ascertained that Vashi across all stores had no unset stones or settings and only had what was on display.

What we found was horrifying, Vashi do not give GIA certificates but use their own system, which apparently isn’t an exact science!!
Other buyers have experienced similar to us.
If you place a bad review, things may get moving…
Rings have been valued far less than they were bought for.
It would appear suppliers are not being paid…
Bad reviews are being buried by a sudden rush of good ones!!

Please please do your own research, check all one star reviews, check other review sites and check Glass Door for staff honesty.

We had a lucky escape and have been rescued by a fabulous jeweller in Bond Street.

I have spoken to Vashi’s customer care and fully explained all. I would also like to add that during the entire process the salesperson did everything in her power to help us and the fault does not lie with her.

Beautiful ring, superb customer service

I had a beautiful experience with Vashi at their Canary Wharf store where I bought an engagement ring. The staff is professional and accommodating. I want to thank WILL for keeping me up to date and providing me with a partial refund and a nice gift to make up for the slight delay in the delivery of the ring.

I am looking forward to visiting the store again in the future.

Unbelievable service

I first visited Vashi to purchase an engagement ring for my future wife and once she said yes I knew instantly that we had to return to get our wedding rings from Vashi too. From the outset we were assisted by Sergiu from the Covent Garden store who helped us through every stage of the process. Initially we went for a standard ring for myself and then we went down the bespoke route for my fiancé. In both instances Sergiu exceeded our expectations in his knowledge, patience, and willingness to help. We had such an enjoyable experience at Vashi and it is all thanks to Sergiu!

The Vashi Experience

Having had not too much knowledge of Vashi prior to our visit, we feel it was incredibly inclusive and taught us loads about diamonds!
Wonderful experience learning about the process of making jewellery! The staff are SUPER friendly and willing to assist with any questions regardless of how silly. We were shocked to also learn that you can build a ring for under £1000!
All of this washed down with plenty of drinks! Highly recommend!!

Appalling wedding ring service

* UPDATE * Since this review was posted, Vashi have been in touch (the day after in fact) to apologise and expedite the making of my rings. I have since received both rings and they are as described. They have also refunded £150 to apologise for the service. Given how quick this was to resolve once I had posted a review, I am now a little sceptical about the original claims of "supply issues" but I am pleased that it has finally been resolved and I have the rings ready for the wedding. In total, it took 12 weeks for my rings to be delivered vs. the 5 week initial estimate. I don't know how long it would have taken if I hadn't posted a public review. The experience was fairly stressful and I think Vashi would do better to give their customers a more honest assessment of timescales up front than put people in a position of worry and feeling like they have no option but to publicly complain. In this instance, the review achieved the outcome we needed. Vashi have asked me to remove this review. I have updated it so people have the full picture of our experience.

*ORIGINAL REVIEW*

Please think very carefully before ordering wedding rings or any other time sensitive jewellery from Vashi.

We visited Vashi Covent Garden in May, 16 weeks before our wedding and chose beautiful rings which we were really excited about. The person who helped us told us there was a 5 week wait for orders and we had ordered in plenty of time. We left happy and very satisfied with the service in the shop. Unfortunately our experience has gone drastically downhill from that point.

We waited 5 weeks and heard nothing. Perhaps naively, I left it another 3 weeks, expecting the rings to be dispatched but still no word from Vashi. I contacted them 8 weeks after the order to be told that they were experiencing issues with suppliers and were working to overcome delays as quickly as possible. The rep asked for the date of our wedding and advised they would be in touch the next day. That contact never came and I had to email again asking for an update only to be told they could not guarantee a date for delivery. I asked for a call so I could understand in more detail what the delay was to try and make a decision on whether to cancel and look for alternative rings. The customer service rep was very reassuring and told me my order was "in the top 10 priority orders" and they would hopefully get a delivery of materials in the next few weeks. I emphasised again that the wedding was now only 6 weeks away and we were due away on holiday for the 2 weeks immediately prior so wouldn't be able to accept a delivery. They offered me a £150 refund for the inconvenience which has not yet arrived.

Another 2 weeks later and I've just received another email to say there is no update and no ETA. I was promised further contact yesterday morning after "escalating with the workshop" and it did not arrive.

We have been looking for alternative wedding rings with other suppliers but Vashi's lack of updates have meant that we now do not have sufficient time for anyone else to guarantee delivery in time. I'm really disappointed and stressed about this - rings are such a fundamental part of a wedding ceremony and Vashi should know how important the role they play is.

I do understand that there are supply delays in all industries at the moment - my complaint is that Vashi did not contact me in sufficient time to advise there may be a delay when it became clear there were supply issues. If they had contacted me earlier, I would have had a better chance of sourcing alternative rings for our wedding. Secondly, they should not be taking orders (and payment!) for time sensitive items like wedding rings without clearly informing customers at the point or order that there are significant delays in the supply chain. I can see from recent reviews that they continue to do so.

I'm thoroughly disappointed and still have no idea what we are going to do on our wedding day in September! I strongly recommend against ordering wedding rings from Vashi.

Excellent service, excellent product

I researched and bought an engagement ring with Xenia. She was knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging - and knowing i had a time frame she sent me updates (discreetly) throughout the process, to help give me peace of mind that the ring would be ready in time. The ring is perfect, and I’m looking forward to giving it to my partner soon!!

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. I bought my rings a few years ago my wife needed them resized. I contact Vashi and the team replied quickly. One ring still had a complementary resize which i was surprised they honour it after so long and the second ring had already been resized but cost wasn't much to resize. I sent off the rings, and they return back in perfect condition plus they didn't charge me for the resizing. Thank you Vashi!! I am always happy to recommend this place

Anna @ Royal Exchange changed my view on Vashi

My experience with Vashi didn't get off to a good start when I visited the Covent Garden store, where I felt pressured by the member of staff to buy a ring. I was then told they would email a summary of my options discussed during the consultation, but they didn't.

I gave up hope but thought perhaps I should try another store. I booked in for a consultation at the Royal Exchange store, and within minutes I was contacted by Anna with a welcome email. My consultation with Anna was a very different experience. Anna had a very sincere and honest approach, which I appreciated. Anna presented me with a few options that were within my budget, along with a detailed explanation of the difference between each diamond. Unfortunately, the specific diamond I was interested in was not in their store. As I left the store within 30 minutes, Anna contacted me to inform me that she had looked into their inventory and was able to find the exact diamond and that it could be sent to the store within a few days for my viewing. I returned to the store and made my purchase. I was told the ring would take up to 5 weeks to complete, which I desperately needed as I would be flying off in 8 weeks where I planned to propose. Due to issues with the supply chain, I was told there was a possibility I would not get the ring in time. Luckily, 2 days before my flight, the ring was ready. I believe this was thanks to Anna, who followed up daily with the production team to get the ring completed on time. I would highly recommend Anna for her expert advice, transparency, honesty, and hard work.

Lovely store, great jewellery, but no stock!

I bought an eternity ring at the covent garden branch of Vashi. It's a stunning store, really nicely laid out, and the staff I encountered on two separate visits were all incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and professional.

I'd been shopping all day for a ring, and plenty of jewellery stores can be quite pretentious. Vashi does high end jewellery but it had a relaxed and welcoming vibe.

I ended up buying a yellow sapphire eternity ring, which was one of the best rings I'd seen all day. Unfortunately I had guessed the size wrong, and the store was perfectly willing to honour its exchange policy for a smaller size version of the ring, but it would have taken 2+ months to be made.

My one issue with the store was a real lack of existing stock. They didn't have smaller sizes in any of the different coloured eternity rings or the diamond version.

It seems that they make rings to order, and this takes a fairly long time (2+ months). It doesn't make sense to me that the store wouldn't maintain an inventory of their rings across the most common sizes, as plenty of tourists or people with less time will be unable to buy rings on the day of their visit to the store.

The eternity ring I bought appears to be their latest range and yet they have virtually no existing stock for it in the common sizes, and are missing out on plenty of quick sales by demanding customers wait for rings to be made.

Other than this, I really like the shop and my partner and I love the ring, which we've decided to just keep on a different finger rather than wait for a smaller one to be made.
