It is offering the opportunity for non-accredited investors to buy into startups. However, more support is needed: 1. updates are not sent to investors e-mail accounts usually so updates are often missed. 2. Investors are not always notified of the failure or functionality status of an investment. This is important for tax purposes. 3. WeFunder has no secondary market so investors can trade and sell investments 4. The system is flawed. Some old investments don't show up. The system seems stuck at a certain amount of investments.

This has been a great experience, it is easy to get set up and get the compaign going. Other crowdfunding platforms, require you to summit an email and wait for a response, that never happens. They helped malus.com get to the next level. With great great response times and knowledgeable customer service representatives.

I had a balance in my wefunder account that I was trying to wire back into my bank account. Wefunder themselves did the bank transfer for me on Jan 30th, it is now March 14th and I havent received the funds into my bank account. I emailed many times and have only got a response a few times. After a long wait they replied to me and said we were having issues with many customers with the same problem and to bear with them while they fix it. I waited, then waited some more. They returned to me after yet more emails I had to send and said they would have returned in 5-10 business days. This did not happen. I again sent emails with no responses, after a long time they got back to me and said the bank rejected the payment and they said they would look into it. Again I am waiting with no update or response. I will update this review if I ever get my money back into my account. My advice is not to use Wefunder, in the future I will use other pre ipo investment websites.

Wire instructions were clear and I have sent wire funds before for an investment in 2022, but this time I did not receive an email verifying the wire was received, even with a confirmation from my bank.
I tried numerous times via email, to contact someone because there is nothing on the website other than FAQ’s no phone numbers, my investment will expire within 1 day if no one responds. Oh well

Wefunder did absolutely next to zero to support our fundraise. 96% of all funds were driven by the founding team. Wefunder promised that they’d do 30-35% of the fundraise. This message was in their briefs, emails by their account managers, they even told us how to achieve the milestones. We did each and every one of those things and still nothing. Wefunder pretty much didn’t do anything at all.
The platform is extremely glitchy as well. We found bugs and reported them that they didn't even know about (reply's to questions didn't go to the person who submitted them). I will say they did fix the issue reported within 3 weeks.
In addition, so many users couldn’t process payment, couldn't submit thier ID's and many more glitches. As a founder, I spent an inordiante amount of time managing through the experience with users.
For us, we had HIGH hopes. We drove thousands to the site for traffic and Wefunder drove nearly nothing. Their email blasts converted just a few users with less than $500 checks.
What Wefunder wants you to do is bring them the investors so they can charge the investor 8% of the fee to invest. We totally got the 7.5% fee charged to us. They filed all paperwork for the RegCF and handled that and we believe it was fair to recoup costs of all the legal efforts.
Overall it was a bad experience using Wefunder with 90% of the weight being Wefunder didn’t do its part to drive funding.
Overall we raised $230K in funding via 96% driven by our efforts.
