Is there a zero star option? I guess add me to the enormous list of customers this company has screwed over. Atrocious, that’s what I would say about this company. They have held funds for a week and keep giving me the runaround. How these folks can operate like this and not be sued to oblivion by now is baffling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Do not even use Chase.

This company is absolute garbage
This company is absolute garbage. I jumped through all of their Hoops to verified my business multiple times I have everything in place I'm completely legit and above board registered with the state registered with the IRS I have insurance etc etc and these incompetent scumbags stopped my client transactions over and over again and reversed my transactions over and over again so I was constantly unable to pay my employees. Then they tell you that they can't tell you why they reversed it but that it's against their policies which are proprietary. The biggest crock of horseshit I have ever heard this company should be sued into the ground and they should certainly lose their ability to process payments. I am closing my Chase account and moving to a different bank because of these scumbags
We have fallen victim to a fraudster…
We have fallen victim to a fraudster who exploited WePay's payment gateway for illegal transactions. We have submitted substantial evidence demonstrating WePay's failure in performing due diligence for identity verification and card processing, leading to significant financial losses for our company.
Despite this clear documentation, we have not received a satisfactory resolution or meaningful communication from WePay. Instead, WePay has consistently failed to provide the necessary information, obstructing our requests and inquiries.
WePay will take your legitimate money transactions and hold your money for their own gain
WePay will take your legitimate, everyday business transactions, and for no reason, they will just hold the funds from your business account under the pretense of reviewing the transactions. This has happened to my business more than once when WePAy was used.
I watched a video of Warren Buffet speaking about this practice. Warren Buffet says that the banking system calls these "float accounts," where they hold your money in these accounts for no reason other than to accumulate interest at your expense. WePAy has done this to my business twice now.
WePay: Over Six Years of Reliable Service
I've been using WePay for over six years, and it's been fantastic. No payout delays, no issues with incoming payments—everything just works smoothly. Even when I had to change account ownership and update my business operating address, it was a breeze. I sent in the documents, and WePay handled the rest without any hassle. "Steve | Customer Delight - Client Service Analyst" needs a raise immediately.
I've seen some bad reviews about "funds being held hostage," but honestly, my experience has been the opposite. WePay has been reliable and easy to work with, making payment processing one less thing to worry about. If you need a dependable payment processor, I highly recommend WePay.

Avoid any third-party payment processors at all costs!
Once they freeze your account, you won't be able to see which transactions were charged back or refunded, nor will you be able to refund any transactions.
Additionally, your funds will be frozen, fees applied, terms and policies changed on you, and you'll be left to die trying.
There's a force out there ensuring small players never succeed.
Get a real merchant account, accept cash, learn, prepare, set aside funds, and avoid being dragged under by these scams.
They will steal your money, never use again!
They are scammers,100% FRAUD. They suddently closed my account for no reasons and hold my refund for 120 days. And after 120 days when I requested to release my money back, they said my money was not eligible for release. They just wanted to steal my money. They don't have phone to number call and only leave an email. Never use their service. The worst one in the world.
Run from chase and wepay! Hands down the worst credit card processing service around!
Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. I own a wholesale business and Wepay decided to hold a payment from a loyal, repeat, customer. I process their business card probably 10 times each year for large amounts. Chase said there is a 5 day hold on the payment, no explanation. Needed the funds to complete my customers order so I asked them to just refund the charge and I would process again with stripe (stripe has been great). Wepay will not refund the charge till the 5 days hold is up and then it can take another 3 to 7 days for client to get the refund. Flat out refused to refund and told me it is in their terms and agreement that they can opt not to process a refund. Makes me and my business look bad. Once again no explanation or reason as to why this hold is happening. I have processed over 1 million dollars a year with chase wepay for the past two years. No issues w my account or anything? I used PayPal and square for years and never had these problems. Stripe is good too. This was WePay’s 3rd strike with me, closing
May we pay and chase altogether. Chase should be ashamed being a billion dollar company and making it harder for small business s to function and blatantly telling me too bad it is in the terms and conditions I agreed to. Shame on chase- The worst

Scammers who steal money from small businesses. Stole 2500 and is illegally holding it for 120 days. My next step is a class action lawsuit.

REFUNDED A CUSTOMER $1800 AFTER I SUBMITTED ALL MY STATE AND FEDERAL FILING PAPER WORK, INVOICE AND COMMUNICATIONS WITH CUSTOMER ON PAYMENT THEY SAID "Because of the proprietary nature of our review process, we are unable to share exact details."

Scam!!!!!! They will hold your funds and they do not care that they are putting your business in danger!!!! I spoke to customer service before signing my restaurant and lounge up when my POS system temporarily went down. They reassured me that if I go above $15k in one day that they wouldn't hold my funds beyond one week. I didn't go over the daily limit. But after a weekend of sales they decided to hold $12k for 120 days. There's no one to speak to over the phone. They only correspond via email and they take days to respond. I have no definitive answer to when I will receive my funds.
Wepay scam
I am also a victim of the wepay scam. Wepay does not give a reason why they refused to process the card payment and took the money from my account and funded it back for a legitimate transaction. I purchased a card reader that serves nothing. It looks like this scheme is a business to sell their equipment. On the Better business bureau you find many similar experiences.

A business credit card processing company that denies transactions for now reason... I am a small business owner and once of my customers asked me to charge him via CC. I used WePay/Chase bank and they held my funds then denied the transaction with out explanation and with out even calling me to inquire. Then when I called for an explanation they said they could not give me one.

Do not under any circumstances go with chase we pay business merchant account, I branched off my business, and opened a account, did 2 services for customers and they locked my account and canceled it, they have also locked the money up for 120 days and I cannot do anything about it! So my only option is to call my customers and have them submit fraud claims on their credit cards so they can get their money back and me bill them another way, imagine how bad that makes my business look this service can potentially cripple my small business!!!! I am beyond livid.

Fraudulent 1099-K from a fraudulent…
Fraudulent 1099-K from a fraudulent company. My second bad experience with WePay.
WePay withheld my clients funds in their "Reserve Account", closed my account, and refunded the money back to the client after weeks of protest. The money never touched my account, however, WePay issued me a 1099-K for the invoiced amount that was never received, then reported those unearned funds to the IRS as income.
There is no customer service whatsoever. When you call the number on the 1099, you receive an automated recording that repeats itself. This damaged they caused will not be easily corrected.
Read the reviews - this company need to be shut down and class action lawsuits filed. WePay is not acting in good faith, they are bad actors, and a rogue company.
