waited months for an album listed as in…
waited months for an album listed as in stock. Claimed a refund thru paypal. Before i claimed the refund i asked about alternatives advertised on the website but none of those were in stock either though they were not showing as "out of stock".

new records well packaged.
records arrived in great condition. mailers used are stronger than some used elsewhere.
Like that the postage is capped for uk customers so i can order as much as i want without having to worry about the shipping cost.

Ordered a album that was supposed to be in stock 2 weeks ago. Has not shipped. Sent several emails with no response back. Have disputed transaction with paypal because as far as I am concerned this is fraud. They took my money, have not delivered any product and have not responded to any of my emails asking for a status update.

I am still in the process of getting a refund for an incorrect item,but feel I need to warn other people as with numerous other unhappy customers on here.
Terrible communication and customer service,have had to go to Trading Standards to help get my money back. Item returned,but still no refund has been paid to me. I am having to go to Trading Standards again tomorrow,and if necessary police,as this is now theft.
AVOID,AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY".

Neil, You are accusing us of theft. I suggest you remove that or we will be pursuing you through the courts. You might also like to check when the refund was actioned.
I'm sorry but you have to return the parcel. Both Royal Mail and Parcelforce have been and no parcel. Once we receive it I will refund you for the item and the postal costs.

I think your communications needs to improve and the item returned is now second hand as you took the seal off despite the label on the front clearly indicating what it was.

Pretty Good
Delivery was speedy and the vinyl is absolutely gorgeous. The only problem is that there is a slight skip on one part of the record but other than that it’s perfect.

I wish they were better, be prepared to wait
Always seem good value for money but be prepared to wait, and then wait a little longer. My last order was advertised as in stock and after querying why it was it had taken so long to despatch I was told they couldn't get hold of it. I was refunded immediately but that's not the point - It's either in stock or not at the time of ordering, please don't advertise items that you may be able to get hold of.
I would order from them more regularly if they could tidy up and speed up their process but I don't like to wait 2 weeks plus for my records to arrive or to be left disappointed due to stock not being available. I buy a lot of records and What Records really fall short compared to Juno, Banquet, Rough Trade etc.
If What Records reply to this, please don't insult my intelligence by telling me you are UK VAT registered, explain your supply chain issues or to refer to your News section on your site …. ordering from you is very simple indeed, what comes after that isn't.

Hi Lee, Thank you for your feedback. It makes a change to receive a balanced review. I note from our records that our shipping times are inconsistent and recent orders have been a problem. Many customers now will check to see if an item is in stock and reserve it as in most cases we have only one or two copies in stock which can disappear quickly. I note the order turn around times for orders supplied were 5, 9, same day, 3 and 6 days. These figures include weekends and working days. We don't post at weekends. The last 2 orders you placed were not supplied, cancelled and refunded.
I would point out that compared to the other retailers mentioned, who are excellent retailers, the volume of vinyl we sell is considerable more, we are to an extent a victim of our success. Thank you again for your review, all points noted. Tim
