STAY AWAY! Quality control issues.

After three orders, including signing up for their membership, I am finally ready to voice an opinion on Wild Fork. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

Every single order I placed was some combination of missing products and bad quality. They cannot figure out how to vacuum seal their product properly. Time after time, I defrost a piece of meat (their products all shop frozen) and find it sitting in a pool of juice in my fridge. I’m done with it. Support local, this place sucks.

Customer service is a pain.

Frozen but not shaken 007

Like most customers ordering on line the first thing people see is pictures of products to buy. I wanted stew meat and bought two other items. The stew meat picture didn't match the product delivered to me. The picture I saw was a package of stew meat not frozen with cellophane covering on top of Styrofoam bottom like in the meat section of any grocery store. I got a bag of cubed frozen meat. Frozen meats are a hard sell. The quality is whether frozen or not is perfectly OK. But not what I expected. Fortunately I got a refund for that product from a delivery service. The lamb shacks ok I would of frozen them if not frozen and the beef liver. So they have a ways to go the products are great. I will buy again knowing what to expect. Even more now for the sure convenience of having very high quality products meat abd seafood frozen.

Cancelled an order I had placed a week…

Cancelled an order I had placed a week earlier 24 hours prior to delivery on a long weekend and was unable to do anything to get me my order before I needed it. This company is not trustworthy and the food is not good enough to warrant the risk of not receiving it. Try one of their dozens other competitors.

My experience at wild fork

I had the pleasure of meeting a worker named Leo. He was delightful and knowledged on how the company works. I know that by the time I left I left with meat and seasonings and a good experience.

My favorite place

I really like the west loop location. I’ve been buying up the Crème Brûlée🤭.The employees are great! Alisia is AWESOME! We always have great conversations about wildfork products, and she always wears beautiful smile. She’s a hard worker and always willing to help. The employees I’ve encountered have all been so helpful with great information and always wear inviting smiles. This my favorite location. Keep up the great job!

Bad ribs

I have loved everything I have purchased from Wild Forks. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the beef short ribs. There were maybe only 2 pieces in the bag that had any decent amount of meat on them. The others were basically meatless. I cannot recommend this product.

This market is absolutely amazing

This market is absolutely amazing. I have never seen a nicer set up and the place is so clean you really could eat off the floor. Things are easy to find. All items are frozen because some of what they offer really needs to be, deer, for example.

They have meats you will not find anywhere else, and the prices are super fair.

We first went there because out St. Bernard must eat a lot of food and is ever so picky. We have always made her food fresh every day, but one day she decided, this steak is not for me, burger, shove it. She even refused chicken. I went on line and talked to friends who said get her deer, and kangaroo. Okay, so I searched and found Wild Fork. I ordered on line because I had no idea they were down the street from me. We cooked it up and she is eating again.

We then went there and had the best service you can imagine. Fila knew everything from fat content to calories. We bought Elk, Kangaroo, chicken with all the parts in it, Bison and Venison. Heidi, the dog is in heaven.

It all looked so great, we decided to try it. Bison burgers are great. Venison burgers are great. I did not love the Kangaroo, but my husband did and the Elk is just so tasty. And all of it is healthy and you can freeze it for months or just defrost and cook.

We can't wait to try their seafood and steaks, but right now it appears we are on the dog's diet.

We could not be happier with this place and now go every week. Thank you so much Fila for being so kind and patient. I think my husband has a wee crush. That's fine, Heidi will trade him for meat any day of the week.

This is a must stop.

I have sent emails with ZERO repsonse…

I have sent emails with ZERO response with a problem of some chicken i been getting. About the look elsewhere for a different company. This company is horrible.
UPDATE: FINALLY got a call from DM. hopefully it will help the issue..but we will see.

Good food, abyssal delivery performance

I only order delivery as the local store is a bit of a drive for me. Anyway in a nutshell, I love the food, the variety, and the prices. However the delivery service is zero stars. I usually order one a month and stock the freezer and the last 5 times, I was short at least half the order. So then starts calling customer service and texting with the driver. Sometimes I for the missing bags later in the day and last week they just refunded me for what was missing with no explanation. This puts me in a lurch as I have to go shopping again. Either someone if forgetting the bags at the facility or the driver is taking the them. This has to stop. Everyone that I know is dumbfounded at how bad this service is. I recover from getting mad and then in a month's time order again thinking they can't be that bad. But they are that bad and I'm that dumb for thinking things will improve.

My husband is an amazing cook and always prepares meat very well and we were shocked about this quality of fairly expensive meat.

False information

False information on website. I have ordered from Wild Fork in the past, the last time several months ago. Today I went on the site to place an order... The site would not accept my zip code, the same address I used for previous purchases. I called them and asked and they said the no longer shipped to my area. So I read their shipping (again) and nowhere on the shipping does it restrict any area. UPS delivered those purchases but now suddenly they don't???

Beware- credit card charges

Product is so-so. Worse they out of no where hit your credit card for unauthorized, surprise charges for 'subscription'. In talking with rep response was pretty much 'too bad'. BEWARE!!!

Never again

Never again. The location on Rt. 59 in IL sucks. The associate was rude and I paid for a 12 pound turkey and got short changed by 4 pounds AND the stinking bird had a plastic taste to it. WAY overrated and shit quality.

She was very happy to help me and was very friendly something you don't find very often these day ! Waste of time!!!

I placed my order 6 days before Thanksgiving, thinking I had plenty of time to avoid any holiday chaos. I got updates from the team, but I still couldn’t find a way to actually get my delivery completed. The driver showed that he picked up my order on the tracker, and after that… nothing. It never reached me.

When something like that happens with frozen meat, the first thought isn’t the driver it’s the product. A package getting scanned as “picked up” but never delivered means it was likely sitting around thawing and refreezing a few times before it even had a chance to make it to my home. That’s not what anyone wants to think about when ordering steaks for a holiday meal.

I’ve had much better experiences ordering online from Snake River Farms and 44 Steaks. The meat shows up when they say it will, it’s clearly handled right, and the whole process just feels easier. No wondering, no second guessing.

This wasn’t a hiccup it was a headache I shouldn’t have had to carry into a holiday. I won’t be ordering again.

Delivery service is terrible

Delivery service is terrible. First delivery they "forgot" part of our order and rather than making it right the took the charge of the missing items off our order. Second delivery they left on the sidewalk by the curb at the wrong address. Driver was reached by the company and he refused to correct his mistake. Again, company did nothing to try and correct their error and said they would credit us in 7-10 days on a $300 order. Very poor service.

Scammed wiht fake meat. 150 dollars total. faked pichana, have no idea where it came from since they lied abotu having a store nearby and htne said it doesnt exist.

JBS has over 107 subsidiary brands aside from Wild Fork, so it’s almost impossible to trace their influence in our food system as a regular consumer. JBS products are sold at retailers like Costco, BJs, Food Lion, Weis Markets, WinCo, Stop & Shop, Shoprite, and Fairway Markets. JBS is also a global supplier to McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Outback, KFC, Pizza Hut, Wendy’s, The Cheesecake Factory, and Johnny Rockets among many, many more establishments. In fact, this week McDonald’s, the world’s largest buyer of beef and pork, filed a lawsuit against JBS and three of the other largest meat producers for price gouging. The suit alleges that JBS, Tyson, Cargill and National Beef Packing violated U.S. antitrust law by coordinating to artificially raise prices for McDonald’s and other buyers, like the average American consumer.

Forced to pay an unwanted membership

The first time I made an online purchase I was offered free delivery and accepted it, never understanding or agreeing to any kind of membership or subscription.
I received an email about having signed for a subscription I never did on Saturday. I asked for a refund customer service informed that the membership policy doesn’t allow refunds.
However, their own policy states that “cancellation requests are at the discretion of Wild Fork.” So their explanation doesn’t align with their policy. This is an unauthorized subscription — one I never signed up for or requested. Be careful of that trap.
