Wild Isle is a small, family-run business on the Isle of Lewis, making proper bone broth concentrate in small batches using only local bones, filtered water, and sea salt. That’s it. We simmer every batch for at least 48 hours and bottle the rich, gelatinous concentrate in reusable glass jars with glass lids - no plastics, no shortcuts, and no preservatives. Just real food, made slowly and with care. Our broth is inspired by the traditional foodways of the Hebrides, where slow-simmered stocks have long been part of the diet. We source bones from croft-reared cattle that graze freely on the machair and moorlands of Lewis and Harris - high-welfare animals raised by local crofters in tune with the seasons. You won’t find additives, fillers or powdered collagen here. Just broth the way it used to be - nutrient-rich, easy to digest, and suitable for sensitive diets including GAPS, AIP, Paleo, Keto, and Carnivore. It’s also naturally gluten and dairy free. Wild Isle is more than a broth business. We moved to Lewis to raise our family and try our hand at crofting. Our long-term goal is to use profits to regenerate our own patch of land, trialling holistic grazing techniques that aim to rebuild soil, retain water, and restore biodiversity. We believe that healthy land makes for healthy food - and healthy people. That’s the thread running through everything we do. If you haven’t tried our broth yet, we’d love you to give it a go. And if you have - thank you. Your support keeps the pot bubbling.

The best bone broth on the market!
Wild Isle Bone Broth is a fantastic product that we are very happy to stock in our shop. People really appreciate the local, plastic free and small batch nature of this high quality product from a friendly and genuine business. Couldn't recommend enough!

Wild Isle - excellent products
Easy to order either one off order or subscription and delivery was prompt. Ordered both bone broth and tallow- and delighted with both products.

Ruth – thank you so much. Short, sweet, and really appreciated.

I've been looking for a bone broth…
I've been looking for a bone broth without added vegetables so this product is ideal. I haven't tried bone broth before so I have nothing to compare it to but it does taste nice. A bit pricey but I suppose you get what you pay for. My only gripe is the jar was upside down in the box when delivered so the product was all over the lid and although I turned it the right way up to settle, it's quite a sticky substance so when I pulled the tab to break the seal and open the jar the broth went all over the seal, my hands and the jar despite my best efforts to avoid this. This obviously meant I lost some of the broth and had to clean the seal and jar. Great product but let down by the container.

Hi Ian – really appreciate the kind words, and the honest feedback too. I do my best to get the broth firm enough that it holds in place during transit, but you're right – occasionally it softens just enough to shift. Sorry to hear it made a mess. If that ever happens again, I'm always happy to sort something – even just a partial refund or discount. I’m steadily getting more consistent with it and really grateful you took the time to share this.
Best wishes,
Sean

Great company making a great product (bone broth). I would recommend. Prompt delivery, consistent quality, and great customer service. They also have a really commendable “pay what you can” scheme.
