Overall, the mechanical pencil in titanium is stunning piece of equipment. Comfortable to hold, thick enough not to cause the fatigue, long enough so that it rests perfectly on my hand, but not too long. The mechanism, ... just works. Great product! I have only one complaint - quality control. Mine came quite scuffed up. On the flip side, Megan was helpful and even proposed me to send the product to the surface refinish; which I declined. I don't fancy sending it back and forth for sanding it, that's no good for the climate :) I did it myself. To me, it shouldn't have been sent in this condition, but it is what it is.

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of my titanium pen! It is a real work of art, that I will always treasure.

I bought a notebook just before a Christmas for my husband. I’d left it quite last minute so understood the chances of getting it for the day itself was slim. However we are now nearly Feb and it still hasn’t arrived. Not only that but I can’t seem to get a response or any help. The one reply I have had said they’d be back in touch the next day, that was nearly 2 weeks ago and nothing. Other than that it’s a standard response saying they’re still working through their Christmas backlog…The Shop app says it’s been shipped but nothing has arrived and I’m over £100 out of pocket. I understand it’s a small business but there is no number on their website and it’s very hard to get anyone to help.

I have since had a response and a new notebook was sent out straight away. It arrived promptly and is a beautiful item. Many thanks.

The pen is glorious, a work of art to be honest. A satisfying click, beautiful and fun to use. Also nabbed a wallet and notebook with leather cover (matching leather) - bringing the joy back into stationary! Will get more, they're worth investing in. And customer service was super helpful when I bothered them with questions.

Wingback produces awesome products which are practical, long lasting and a joy to use. I have always loved metal pens, pencils and other useful products.

High quality, nice and heavy but compact piece of artful writing equipment. Looks great with the engraving. It comes in a (fabric) sleeve, but looks even better in the leather sleeve i ordered alongside.

Whilst searching for a new pencil and seeing some glowing reviews by various EDC creators I decided Id go for a Wingback mechanical pencil.

I bought it for myself as I do a lot of design drawing at my work, And let me tell you this pencil has changed the way I work!

Excellent quality, it makes something like drawing and writing an absolute pleasure. The materials used (I ordered stainless steel) feel second to none and even after heavy daily use, it still performs flawlessly, and looks great at the same time.

I experienced an easy and swift customer experience when ordering. I messaged the customer service to enquire about if different mechanism sizes would fit in the same pencil (which they do) and was promptly provided with an answer from someone called Megan. (thank you!)

Looking forward to my next purchase, the black steel collection looks very tempting...

BE WARNED & AVOID... Ordered the brass wingback pen as a gift. When I received it I couldn't believe how it was packaged and presented. It was literally just in a cheap little fabric sleeve loose in a box. I was amazed at how disappointing and poor the presentation and packaging was, especially when considering it's a £125 pen! Unfortunately, it then continued to disappoint... The pen itself is very poorly finished, it's covered in scuffs and marks and looks like it's had a couple of years of use already. Again very disappointing especially for £125. I would genuinely be embarrassed to give this to anyone as a gift so we ordered another pen from another brand (much better quality and packaging etc.!)... With this in mind I contacted Wingback to explain my disappointment and concern explaining I'd like to return the pen - and they've completely ignored me! I've emailed multiple times and used their contact form on their website and nothing, not a word back. Their customer service is non-existent which considering they seem to be considerably exaggerating the quality of their goods doesn't surprise me. Oh they also state products are manufactured to order - unless they can manufacture them in a few hours that's not true as it shipped almost immediately. Overall they seem to be one of these companies that's out to make some fadst cash by snazzy marketing and a complete disregard for product quality & customer service. I would strongly advise you avoid them at all costs and go elsewhere.

What a great company. great product and great team to work with especially when customising an item. Many thanks. My only mention would be - can you not make bigger pens? I love my wife's but if I was ever to get one myself I would need a bigger fit. I'm 6.2 and have hands like a lumberjack!

Import Duty:
Just a note on customers who are not in same the country as the company. Hey Molo Ko. there is now a section on customs on the site - maybe you got them to do that, great, but before you reviewed did you not stop to think: "I'm buying from another country and maybe I should some due diligence on import costs" - whether there is a disclaimer or not. It's not about transparency and hidden costs my friend. This is not Amazon, you knew this was a private local artisan company, which is why you liked the product - so the onus is also on you to do a bit of homework too, no?

Import taxes will apply if you order anywhere within EU, so be mindful of that. No disclaimer on this topic on their website, no notification when buying, which is a pretty weasley behaviour to say the least. They wait for you to order, they charge quite a lot for shiping and then you pay almost 40% extra upon receiving your product. In my case I paid in total almost 169 EUR for a wallet which on their website costs 99 EUR.
The product quality is fine, but I'm not ok with the lack of transparency regarding hidden costs and the weasley approach.

I gave this company more than a year to sort out its internal issues.

The amount of back and forth accumulates over time and it's simply not worth the mental health and frustration from lack of clear communication, and attention to detail of a product that's advertised as "high quality".

Today after 12+ months -- minus the Royal Mail strike -- and counting, I am still waiting for the replacement wallet (the first one was made in error).

I've simply lost interest.

It's sad because the pencil I bought at the time came months after the successful Kickstarter campaign.

Whilst I hope they improve; simply beware of what you are getting into.

On 27th July I purchased a Wingback Winston wallet chestnut colour. On receipt it looked amazing. From reviews build quality looked second to none. However after a few weeks, length of stitching had came undone. Contacted customer care where I was asked to return the wallet to be repaired. Worried that this could continue I refused and asked for a brand new wallet. On receipt the brand new wallet was damaged. Again contacted customer care who wished for both wallets to be returned before sending a new one out again. On receipt of my new package I was astounded Wingback had just re-stitched my first wallet, sent it back to me and not sent out a brand new wallet. When I asked if it was my first wallet they confirmed. 19th October I received a refund. Very poor and deceiving customer service.

Very pleased with the recent purchase from these, the presentation when opening this was really nice. I purchased a key loop and for what seems like such a simple item it makes my keys look so much more unique and the feel of this when holding my keys makes me not want to put them down I just love the design. I will definitely be purchasing from these again in the near future.
