My son has been learning Chinese with Wukong for 3+ years, during COVID pandemic period, I had to introduce him to the concept of teacher and a structured learning environment; Wukong was the perfect resolution! I've enjoyed the convenience of taking class online, at the comfort of my house, 1:1 class for Chinese so the teacher can have her dedicated attention to my son's needs, class content and difficulty level can be adjusted by communicating with the teacher and class consultant; having a good teacher is very important too, we absolutely LOVEs our current teacher, Ms Aisha!!! So yes, if you are not satisfied with the assigned teacher, you can provide feedback and switch to different teacher; choose someone's teacher style that matches your kids learning style so they can continue learning for a long time. The only point deducted (actually 0.5 points deducted) was due to the company's advertising strategies, for those that tried out one free class but did not end up signing up for the class, be warned, you will be getting tons of robo calls or just random calls....lots of calls to try to convince you to sign up; I personally don't have this problem but plenty friends around me are bothered by such advertising strategy. And to be clear, Wukong is not the only company doing such nonstop calls...it appear to be a strategy that other online class companies use as well so points off for this (not due to class content or teacher performance whatsoever).

Our teacher Ms. Amy is great! So patient and sweet. Even though we don’t speak mandarin at home, my daughter is really picking up words and her pronunciation gets better each week. Also, the TA you are assigned to is always responsive and gets back to you in a short amount of time.

My children have been learning Chinese with Wukong for many many years. Teachers are very positive and friendly.

Terrible communication, lack of respect when answering questions, and very defensive when provided with simple feedback.

Before I even started training, I received an automated email that I was fired for "performance" and "attendance". This didn't make any sense because I completed all on-boarding tasks, and was waiting for training to begin. They finally responded that it was a mistake.. a mistaken automated firing email?? Interesting business strategy.

You need to complete multiple days of training for free, and don't expect a real person to answer your emails. If they do, it will be incredibly rude and defensive. You will be shocked at how unprofessional they are.

I highly recommend WuKong! Teachers like Wang Laoshi and Sarah Laoshi made learning Chinese so much fun and engaging for my daughter. Their superb teaching skills and endless patience really stood out. I still can’t believe how far she’s come — she can now converse in Chinese with confidence!

My child was very hesitant to take Chinese lessons again, especially online, but it turns out to be such an excellent experience! She has built so much confidence in conversational Chinese that she is willing to speak up on her own, without prompting. She is also noticing other people's use of Choice m Chinese words. I'm so glad we chose Wukong. The pricing is also extremely reasonable. Teacher's reports and homework grading are so encouraging. Thank you Wukong!!

It's a rellay good Chinese learning, my kids have been enjoy the lessons, and we have already see progress.👍

Help my kids be more comfortable to speak Chinese

By far the best language service for bilingual families. Teachers and staffs are all very helpful and patient. Pricing structure are reasonable and scheduling are flexible. The only suggestion I have is open up course credit options to incorporate different courses and subjects. Maybe offer more flexible course packages that allow for credits to be used for pinyin and other studies. Overall, the course quality has been superb

Both my child and I enjoyed the trial class and thought that it was a great match for us, however I was thrown off by how the sales was pushing me to make the payment by end of review phone call. The 60-lesson package is a good deal, but it’s a long term commitment/one lesson per week. we needed time to review it along side other extra curricular activities, but sales was not caring enough to be patient. Wukong lost us there.

I didn't know if i should give WuKong Education 4 stars or 5 so i just picked 5. I really liked my teacher, she was kind and patient and also had a sense of humour. She understood how i was shy at first which made me feel better and less shy for the next class. I've only had 3 classes including the trial one so far and my experience has been great. I enjoy taking the Chinese classes as they are fun. I like how there are educational games so it makes the class fun. When I was reading the reviews of the people who rated WuKong Education 1 or 2 stars i was getting a bit worried but i actually didn't have my experience like them. I'm always excited to do the homework after class. I recommend to everyone that you should at least take the free trial class first.

The class itself was great, very engaging, interactive and it exceeded my expectations. We were happy with the teacher and the class but what puts us off in the whole experience was that the sales tactic used - the staff that made contact with me after the class was very pushy with lots of phone calls, messaging etc and I felt that I was being rushed & pushed into making a decision and weren’t given much time. There was no respect for privacy and it felt like all they cared for was the outcome.

Overall, I can see the value of Wukong for learning Chinese. However, my biggest complaint is the checkout process. Having to wait several days just to speak with someone and get pricing, only to be pressured into making a purchase within 24 hours, left a horrible taste in my mouth. The fact that there seems to be a different “sale” every month, along with being encouraged to change the original class selection, makes the sales approach feel questionable. They really need to improve that process.

I’m not entirely sure I would want my friends to have that kind of experience, which is a shame because I do see the value of this platform for anyone interested in learning Chinese in a remote environment. That’s the only reason I’m giving it a 3 out of 5.
