We are very happy with our new home! We had a few snags, as with any new build, but these were fixed quickly. Every member of the site team and sales team have been very positive and helpful.

The reason we brought our house was because of James. He is at the Manor Grange site. When we were first going for viewings at different developers, my husband instantly took a liking to him, and I think we must have had maybe 15-20 plus viewings around different developments, some even suited are needs better than the one we currently brought. But just on the sole basis of how he approached selling the house, with a lot of honesty, we went with it. It's hard to tell when people are selling houses, whether they are honest or not; but he was very frank and straight to the point. His manner of selling was not pushy, he had a good laugh with my husband. He took us around and showed us a few homes. We initially wanted to reserve a property on the site for £485,000 and explained that I was self employed and my husband was employed so our mortgage application would end up being a lot more longer. He said that's absolutely fine and still encouraged us to take the leap as it was our first home. When things were getting delayed by others, for example the solicitors, he would go out of his way to call them and chase it up on our behalf to help the process faster. That house ended up getting reserved the next day and we were gutted. He then told us to come down and would show us another house, we went and liked it, but was above what we wanted to pay, price being £525,000. Worked out well in the end because we just had to save a little more for our deposit and as our mortgage application took longer because I was self employed we managed to use this time whilst underway to save up that extra money. From beginning to end, he has been nothing short of supportive. On the day we moved in, my husband was back at my old house, and I was at the new house, the bed arrived but with one delivery driver because his other driver called in sick. My husband called James to help in a panic as he was an hour away and it was too heavy for me to hold as I'm heavily pregnant, and within not even a minute he turned up and helped unload a very heavy mattress and also the headboard which was very heavy with the delivery driver. He did not have to do that, that's not his job, but I was so appreciative of him taking out a good 20 mins of his time to help. Now if that is not good customer service then I don't know what is. No question is too much for him, if he didn't have the answer to something he would chase it up and get back to us the same day. During the whole process he kept us fully updated and we were well informed about everything that was going on, he also did video calls for us to show us the house whilst it was in its
Last stages, sent pictures and really went out of his way. At no point did I feel we were forgotten about. He also showed us his own house which is on the development and took us around which was unbelievably kind of him (as we would be buying the same house type) and to get some inspiration of what he had done with his own house. When we moved in he checked in on us and was very welcoming, and as I was pregnant he also called me up to let me know if my husband was ever out and I needed anything I can just ask him, which is very thoughtful of him. He is a lovely guy, we wouldn't have brought this house for sure without him being in the process. Any issues I've had, he's raised it up above swiftly and promptly. I really think this guy deserves a raise and is a massive asset to Abbey New Homes as a company, he should be on a lot of money (and no he has not asked us to write this review) but we were shocked at his customer service, other developments we went to, not a single one dealt with us the way he did and that's what drew us in immediately. He isn't just a sales person, he's a lot more than that - friendly, professional, efficient and just a fun chap to speak to. I also want to mention Justin, who has also been extremely pleasant to engage with (the site manager), you can tell he does not try to brush things off and is trying to get sorted any snags that need sorting as soon as he can. Thank you so much for everything James, words cannot describe how happy we are.

Excellent Customer service from Dean on site in dealing efficiently with any issues.

Currently purchasing a new home at Crocus Fields, Saffron Walden. During the purchasing process so far the dealings with the staff and David in particular at the show house have been extremely helpful and have been in contact with us keeping us informed of the progress of our purchase. Cannot fault David. Just have one slight area of concern at the time of writing this review and the build QC. The canopy over the front door and roof of the bay window are out of alignment, but David is on the case and hopefully we will not have an issues with anything else.

UPDATE:
Having taken ownership of the property on the first time of running the washing machine in the Utility room we had a water leak that soaked the carpet in the adjacent hallway and damaged the door and skirting board. The carpet was ripped up by the on-site staff and left to dry. 8 weeks later we are still waiting for the carpet top be refitted. If only it was that. After one week of moving in you are requested to submit a snagging list. That seems a remarkably small amount of time from past experience, but we did and to quote the site manager, "this is a sensible list and not over the top".
To date the tilers came and made good two tiles not in place correctly and a hole in another, the decorator painted items missed. I am sure the plasterer would not have visited had I not been talking to the site manager at the time he stopped in ask for instructions what he was to do, but that is it!
When contacting Abbey you are meet with silence. I suppose they hope we will go away, but not whilst I have 5 holes in the wall created by the electrician who had to cut them in order to replace a broken cable for the BT engineer on their side.
Like so many on this development trying to get things sorted is proving to be a nightmare. We really do not appreciate having a carpet not properly fitted in a high access area and just hope that nobody falls over it or it will be taken a lot higher that just Abbey Homes.

Buying our new home with Abbey Homes at Crocus Fields has been a great experience. Dave our main contact was very friendly, helpful and positive from the very first moment we met him and did his best to accommodate our family requirements and genuinely cared about us and our family’s situation and future. We have had a really enjoyable experience and relationship with Dave. The other site contacts were also very willing and helpful on days we called and Dave wasn’t working. We have had a really positive experience and can’t wait to move in! Thanks again to Dave and co.

great experience - moved in Feb 2021, minimal snags to report. Any snags we did find were repaired fast and effectively.
Very happy with the house 3 years on, fixtures and fittings still remain robust and good as new.

I have been extremely satisfied with the service I have received from the Sales Advisor’s at Abbey New Homes, Crocus Fields. David Platt in particular has provided a first calls service and has kept in touch with me on a regular basis from first expressing an interest in a plot back in the Spring of 2023 to confirming a sale. He has also helped me to achieve exchange of contracts by ensuring that all parties involved have continued to progress the sale of my apartment and secure the purchase of my new home. The whole buying experience was very easy with David very helpful and friendly.
We have been in our new home for just over a week, all miner snags are being sorted. The whole Abbey team have been great.

We have had a great experience with abbey new homes , especially David at crocus fields who has helped and advised us along our journey towards our lovely new home . We would recommend them both to anyone looking for a new home and the knowledge and expertise to help you to realise your dream .

We first looked at this development in August and found Marina and the sales team very helpful and freindly. When we were in a position to make an offer we veiwed the show home and site plan. We moved in in November. Simon showed us our finished house 3 days before we moved in. There were a handful of minor snags which were dealt with very quickly. For example a minor leak was dealt with within an hour of calling Simon. I have found the experience of buying a new home from Abbey very positive. Its never simple moving house but the process was as straightforward as it could be. Since moving in there has been alot of activity on site while the developer finishes the rest of the estate. The builders are always pretty considerate, tidy and rush to move out the way so we can get in and out. Overall id summarise by saying we have been well lookef after by Abbey New Homes and would highly reccommend!

The sales people were polite and informative on the site plans visits were always arranged at shortish notice so progress could’ve assessed. The buying process is always stressful but been able to talk about it with the representatives did help reduce the strain

All of the on site abbey team have been great. The site is well planned and not overcrowded. Snagging seems to be the big bug bear amongst residents. It does take a very long time from reporting to repair. Overall though, so far we are happy with our decision to buy our house here.

I was warmly welcomed by Sara and Marina the first time I visited Liberty View in Lenham. Sara took me around the show home and then 5 other properties. She also shared all the information I needed should I wish to proceed. Since then, I have been there a few times to look around again. Great service, with a smile, together with an understanding of my requirements.

Both Marina and Sara at the Lenham site have been very accommodating; we’ve popped by a few times without an appointment and it’s never been too much trouble for us to look around, or to answer any of our questions.

The staff at Abbey New Homes could not have been more helpful. We loved the show home & after we sold our house there were various delays & Lack of communication from the solicitors. Abbey New Homes stepped in & helped us to completion. Kelly & Ben especially went above & beyond, I don't think the move would have happened without them. We have been here 2 months now, & couldn't be happier.

I have just bought a home from Abbey New Homes in Lenham, Kent. The experience was excellent. Moving into our new home we have nothing but praise for David O’Leary (the site manager) who has made the process so much better. He has dealt with the (expected) little niggles/nuances professionally and in a very timely manner. He has always kept us updated on everything happening around the site and we can’t recommend his approach, customer service and professionalism high enough.

We've been really impressed with Abbey New Homes and the customer experience provided by Sara - her knowledge of the Liberty View estate in Lenham is excellent and she's been extremely helpful throughout the process. Would highly recommend you see her if you're considering a move to Liberty View. Thank you Sara!

We moved into our new home a couple of months ago, and it has been a smooth process. Each team we dealt with had been great in their own regard. Now that we've moved in, Dean, Henry and the site team have been amazing and extremely helpful with any request we have had. It has made the process stress-free, and we have the reassurance that we will be looked after for the aftercare of our home. Additionally, the build quality of the home has stood out by far compared to other developers.
